Lindor! Vs Cleveland! Mets Comeback vs CLE | Home & Away Feeds | CLE vs NYM | May 19th, 2023

After an eventful series win against the Tampa Bay Rays, the New York Mets took on the Cleveland Guardians at home. It didn't start off well, as Carlos Carrasco gave up five runs to put the Mets down early. The boys in Queens didn't back down, clawing back from down from multiple deficits, with home runs from Brett Baty, Francisco Alvarez and an RBI single from Jeff McNeil and ultimately tying the game with a Pete Alonso grand slam to tie it at 7! Cleveland would score two to make it 9-7 in the top of the 10th, but a Mark Vientos base hit in the bottom half of the inning, a stolen base from pinch runner Eduardo Escobar, then a game tying single by Francisco Alvarez (who advanced to second on a bad throw) set up the final nail in the coffin. Former Cleveland SS Francisco Lindor won the game off the first pitch he saw from closer Emmanuel Clase into center field to top the comeback win 10-9. Best game to date and a huge win for the Mets!

I’m a Mets fans but I admire the guardians broadcast team for being fair. I was even surprised that the announcer said the game was tied wayyy before Escobar scored to tie the game at 9-9.
