Let's give kudos to the Stars' broadcasters. While there is a bit of explainable "homer" in all broadcasts., after frequently listening to the incredible homers that broadcast Caps, Bruins and Islanders, these guys behaved liked true professionals...well done!
Josh Bogorad is an excellent broadcaster. He used to be the play-by-play announcer for my hometown Alaska Aces, and was easily the most professional in the minor leagues in that time. I'm not surprised that he called this so well despite the craziness.
I traveled to New York and got to go to MSG for a playoff game, back in their cup run of 2014 I think it was. It's the loudest most energetic crowd I've ever experienced.
I love to hear the other teams broadcasters acknowledge the fans at the Garden. It's always a factor when teams come to MSG to play the Rangers they talk about the fun environment and how excited they are to play here. To hear the broadcasters acknowledge it also is a really cool thing 😎
When I was a kid, in Dec 1998, I watched the Rangers win a very similar game at home vs the Florida Panthers on a goal in the final second of play to force overtime, then they won in overtime. John Davidson compared it to the Miracle on 34th Street. It instantly became my favorite ending to a hockey game I had ever seen. I loved it. And Sam Rosen was on the call for that one, it was at MSG. It had all the magic. 25 years later, this game feels just as great as that one did.
So..Stars fan now, I live in Dallas and have since 1996. BUT growing up the first hockey team I cheered for was the Rangers as they were always on WOR on our cable company. When they won in 1994, I was cheering madly for them and still have great memories. A sports bucket list for me is to come to a game at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers will forever have a place in my heart
had the feel of the Brad Richards seconds left OT winner from like 2011 when Staal got the winner a minute into OT much like Fox (another D man) doing the same here
loving this version of the rangers. glad to see the positive results of Jeff Gorton hopefully he can do same here in Montreal. Looking forward to Habs Rangers N Red Wings regaining their dominance in the leauge (Hawks & Bruins had their push, Bruins maybe last push and maybe the Leafs can finally get it together, or not, either way, Canadian teams + OG 6 > rest of NHL for me.
As a long time NY Rangers fan, it's great to see them pull out games on last minute heroics. However, that type of ply will not work in the playoffs. They're going to need to be better to make a deep run in the playoffs.
I was there. There’s always fairweather fans that dip to beat traffic. Some moron threw his beer on the ice at the 1 minute remaining mark. He got ejected before the buzzer beater and OT. Karma at its best
Adam Fox might be the best player to ever wear a Ranger's jersey... seriously. His composure is such at an elite level it's hard to fathom. Check out the angle at 13:50, and pause just as Fox receives the pass. 99%+ of the league would instantly shoot that. But Fox has the balls to fake everyone out and pull it to his backhand and chuck it in for an easy win. Obviously Heiskanen doesn't have a stick in this situation, but Fox makes the same exact plays many times a night. It's incredible to watch.
Great analysis. He CONSTANTLY makes the right decisions almost at a micro level. Watching him night in and night out, he's probably the best defenseman in the world.
like my team out of all teams.. just capped off a shitty week man... its still GO stars and were still winning the cup..but im not gon lie and i dont mean to bring race but the irony of it. like i get flack as black man because i love hockey and then a black man make the game tying goal against my guys and .02, my number at that.. and then last night i was watching emotional times in hockey by jen95 and idk why but martin st.louis on mothers day man.. that guy was one of my all time favorites and im so mad he and lundqvist didnt win a cup in NY.. ngl i lowkey got some love for the rangers.. and yaw bet not get rid of zibenajad. that mf is the truth.
Since ‘94 😮 I almost forgot about that special season a 5 years old boy noticed a rangers winning the cups and Knicks just came close to a title the Yankees would probably had been in the World Series if the strike didn’t happen

I was going to post something similar. I hope that Josh Bogorad goes a long way in his career.
The pens have to be the worst one year they got mad at panarin for scoring a goal and said he did something wrong
Caps with the 5 goal game by mika was really good they even said it was one of the best performances they've seen in years
As terrible as Jack Edwards is, he actually has more emotion than most announcers when the opposing team scores. But yes, I agree
Damn, 1:34, the sound of 20k erupting at once. Simply awesome.
MSG shakes!!
Louder than any other fan base
I was there sec. 225😱😱😱🏒🔥

The audio quality between both broadcast is immense. I can FEEL the energy from the MSG cast, but the Bally cast feels much more subdued.
I’ve been watching this all day man... instantly one of the most memorable sports moments for me
I was at this game. That Miller goal was insane.. had a playoff feel to it.
As was I and I agree!
i counted 3 or 4 different times where this game was about to be over but NYR never quit. amazing win. will remember this one for a long time
yes we will
As a longtime NYR fan, I can recall so many times we lost a game this exact same way. Nice to see it go the other way!!!
I STILL can't get over this!! What a win!!
I love to hear the other teams broadcasters acknowledge the fans at the Garden. It's always a factor when teams come to MSG to play the Rangers they talk about the fun environment and how excited they are to play here. To hear the broadcasters acknowledge it also is a really cool thing 😎
Dallas had great announcers, so does Edmonton, Toronto, Chicago, and Minnesota.
Being in the crowd for a Rangers goal at MSG sounds like it'd be fun.

I was young but I remember that game as well. NHL Tonight mentioned it after the game.
What a game! Says so much about the fans too, stayed until the very last second. And cheered the team to a victory! LGR!
Miller has been absolute clutch for NY
Seguin was too busy tripping Mika then he just watched the rest.
You got that right.... Fox faked the panties off the goalie ..... he's got more moves than Mick Jagger

this was the last leg of my parlay.. whenI tell you I was screaming... omg legendary moment.

Oettinger was halfway back to Dallas by the time the puck left the net.
@pjabrony after the winner Oettinger was like "I'm getting the hell outta here!"
it was a good game.LET GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NYR fan here to say props to DAL commentators. Really good and not homer at all.
Ranger fan here, gotta give credit to the Stars broadcasters they sound great credit to both teams
Imagine this was game 7 of the stanley cup final
Ranger nation would have a collective asthma attack!
Pan's dance is so fun
This is the first one I've seen with both broadcasts. Well done. 👏
Panerein jumping up and down like crazy
One of the most thrilling games ive ever watched ill really die for this team
you know its hype when Breadman does his celly 'kick' and he only got the assist lol LGR!

Still couldn’t believe it at the game was definitely best sport game I’ve ever been to
The best game
Absolutely Electric
While the players selected as the three stars all had great games, it was a shame that Miller didn't get a star.
Hi Lois he should have been given the star (Miller). He doesn't score, we don't get to OT and Foxy.
Best game I’ve ever been too
That OT shift by Heiskanen was truly awful. But we’ll take it. LGR
We almost cry 😢
Best game ever
This was a tough look for Heiskanen
Beautiful
Feel like ‘94 again
I remember stafon mattoe.

I bet folks were starting to walk out at two minutes prior the end. I remember when I was there, People did at least five minutes before.

There's a reason why his first contract was for 66m he's ahead of his years

That was obvious trip
4:48 easy there kravtsov lmaoo

I literally hate the Rangers who likes the Rangers also who likes Chris Kreider
Luckiest team in the NHL

Панара красава выцарапывал шайбу и ребята молодцы все отлично так надо играть и хотеть выигрывать
Never quit boys !!
Rangers blow
🫵😂😂🤣
Still crying?
The best game this season so far......they never quit.....go Rangers 👍
Since ‘94 😮 I almost forgot about that special season a 5 years old boy noticed a rangers winning the cups and Knicks just came close to a title the Yankees would probably had been in the World Series if the strike didn’t happen
In fact next year make 30 years since the ‘94 team
lol handed the game by the refs who fail to call a trip or stop the play when they are supposed to do so. 😂
No Quit in New York
Comeback wins reignited MSG. It’s absolutely amazing to watch them win in style. Let’s Go Rangers!
God, I’m gonna miss Sam😭
Here's the Rangers radio call for both goals from the game. Kenny Albert kills it as always.
th-cam.com/video/KIFV4uoaQB8/w-d-xo.html
Amazing moment..
this is why home broadcast is soooo important, i hate the fact we go to national broadcast in the playoffs. exception was Doc Emry who is the goat....
No quit in NY
Everything that could have went wrong for the Stars went wrong and everyone that could have went right for the Rangers went COMPLETELY right
