By far and away the best AVP game ever! I actually got a GeForce3 Ti 500 just to be able to play this at full speed back in the day! Worth penny and It's been long over due that this needs to be remade on modern hardware!
this game's marine campaign was the scariest game i ever played, scarier than doom 3 or quake 4. the background sound effects were the same as the movie, which added more scarieness to the game, aliens are dark and the background is also dark, cant tell well who's who what's what. i just spray the pulse bullets then jump away from acid bloods, and hope not to die. resident evil was also scary but i didnt want to mess with the stupid keyboard to drive the char to play.
yes definitely, i want to be scared in playing games most of all, doom3 quake4 were gross games, they were also kind of good but not as good as aliens that brought scareness, paying $30 for a computer game is worth far more than paying a $10 movie, i can keep on playing it for decades. movies are served as just simple introductions to the games playing interactive. predator and alien movies are now boring trash, they dont hunt anymore, now they show up like terminators in society
Im still surprised at how many people liked this. The first game replicated the look, feel, and logistics of dealing with aliens perfectly. A single alien skittering in the darkness was enough to stop you in your tracks, fire flares, cycle thru vision modes, backtrack, wait for emergency light pulses, use all your grenades, etc. A perfect reproduction that organically made you use the same tactics as the marines im the films. This follow up is just ok, not much different from any other fps where you fight monsters. So confused.
Seeing this planet when I was younger and then getting into astronomy and seeing Mars made me think that this planet from the game was in our solar system and I lived and breathed this universe.
20 years later and this is still the best AVP and Aliens shoot 'em up game ever... WHOA.
Its awesome

The pilot has the heat miser from that Christmas special on her armor, you can see it in the intro cutscene LOL!
By far and away the best AVP game ever! I actually got a GeForce3 Ti 500 just to be able to play this at full speed back in the day! Worth penny and It's been long over due that this needs to be remade on modern hardware!
I was so poor to get the game or a competent computer for this. Now I can't even get it digital thanks to licensing. Would love to have a retail copy.
this game's marine campaign was the scariest game i ever played, scarier than doom 3 or quake 4. the background sound effects were the same as the movie, which added more scarieness to the game, aliens are dark and the background is also dark, cant tell well who's who what's what. i just spray the pulse bullets then jump away from acid bloods, and hope not to die. resident evil was also scary but i didnt want to mess with the stupid keyboard to drive the char to play.
Desperate for a remake imagine it with today's graphics. Perfection.
yes definitely, i want to be scared in playing games most of all, doom3 quake4 were gross games, they were also kind of good but not as good as aliens that brought scareness, paying $30 for a computer game is worth far more than paying a $10 movie, i can keep on playing it for decades. movies are served as just simple introductions to the games playing interactive. predator and alien movies are now boring trash, they dont hunt anymore, now they show up like terminators in society
This game was the bomb. Back when it was released.
This so scary and intense back in the day. It felt like there were way more Aliens chasing you.
Because most people share some of the same npc opinions
Hudson - that's it man game over man game over.
In childhood I was stuck unable to open the door in the very beginning 4:03
1:18:17 the alien-WELL HELLO THERE
Wait is the sergeant voiced by the same voice actor for sergeant major Johnson from Halo?
1:18:19 hello there!
I gave a nervous laugh just thinking of the scare I would have if this happened to me while playing
Back when games were made with love, attention and fairly minimal amount of bugs.
It's time that Deep Dive studios get their hands on this and the first AVP and give it some love.
8:25 I nearly shat my pants 20 years ago, I still remember that mission vividly.
Very cool, wish this game was on steam miss playing it.
I feel the same
Is it not?
My childhood❤️ and the best aliens game ever made
Seeing this planet when I was younger and then getting into astronomy and seeing Mars made me think that this planet from the game was in our solar system and I lived and breathed this universe.
That sounds amazing
idk how i was able to finish marine campaign. After after all this years even watching gameplay still give me anxiety. xD
pus*y
This game was tha shit back then.Played it on my ASUS GeForce FX 5700 +Pentium 4 2 ghx 4 gb sd ram:D
Observant watchers may note the both Sergeant Johnson and Cortana among your squad mates.
