When going to OR Tambo Int. Airport, you take off at Isando Station, there’s pedestrian bridge, many people working at the Airport use Metro rail.

This is excellent. I was waiting for this video. Now you need to catch the transfer from Kempton Park up to Pretoria. lol. Unfortunately at the moment there are only 4 trains a day that do that link. There are quite a few other rail routes open in Gauteng now though: Saulsville, Pienaarspoort, Shoshanguve and Mabopane. Pity that the train is so slow right now - but some sections may get quicker as they upgrade the network and signalling. I think Prasa's focus right now is opening more stations. They need the ridership revenue.
Does this train travel between PTA and Johannesburg or is it only Gautrain that does that route?

Ravensklip was actually vandalized. It's been re constructed. Elandsfontein is next. Isando is also on the cards. Then Van Riebeeck Park and birchleigh stations are also done with construction

You can take a train from Park Station to OR Tambo international Airport it's between Germiston and Kempton Park Station 🚉

The old train system was like passing through hell to get to your destination. I could even write a book or write the whole day about the old prasa. My biggest concerns was Security and trains failing to get commuters on time to their destinations... I'm still certain that I won't go back to the trains. No lie I see the new improvements, they are highly promising, But I need to get to my goal of getting myself a car.. then I can use the trains sometimes
A lot of things have changed, times, security, cleaning, rules are tight. I highly advise for you to give it a try.
My favourite is the AI speaking on the train ...and digital time thats cool....the accuracy of the of time,bt not always....but i noticed train station s are being refebished🤞🏽👏👏🤟🔥vedeio🇿🇦🇿🇦
The AI voice gives it a hint of sophistication indeed. They are doing a good job. We must help to maintain these trains. This was a huge financial effort. 🇿🇦🏆👌✔️
It's sad how Prasa Prioritizes Pretoria and ditching Tembisa. Leralla corridor is a busy line. Prasa should just install signals and Tembisa and see magic. Tembisa is more busy than Soweto during the day and Tembisa is the best compared to Soweto.
The stations look really good. Tembisa and Leralla are at a very high standard for what we could see. The whole corridor is quite impressive presently.

Are the areas outside the Metro rail stations safe?
I was robbed in 1982 on the TransNatal, been robbed in Pretoria Central, Heideveld and Kalksteenfontein. Like myself, criminals have feet and can go anywhere.

120kms, train stations are too close. Needs some distance to achieve maximum speed.

The train schedule is given on specific WA groups given by prasa people inside the trains. To get to pretoria you need to swap line in Kempton Park. Pretoria only has 4 trains a day each way from 5.10am to 7.40pm.

Majority of those are migrants from neighboring countries. The SA government has completely botched the immigration control measures. those people should actually be deported back to their countries.
It will never end even when government build them houses they rent the houses to foreigners and go back to sharks.. it will require strict laws that make such places illigal
