Very helpful and lots of great tips. When my strings start sounding dull and without as much projection, I’ll change them. There’s nothing like the sound of new strings. 😊

I change my strings every 2 months…. I have to order them in bulk. I use Ernie ball strings just as a personal preference…. All of my electrics I use the blue EB classic rock and roll. Very light strings. For my only Floyd rose bridge guitar. I jam a 9v battery in the cavity and string it up with super slinky’s….. since I play mostly lead… I use EB power slinky’s on my acoustic… yeah I know they are electric strings. But they are loud. Sound great. And they are literally the only ones I can find in bulk… not to mention cheap

Very helpful information. I’ve always changed strings twice a year but probably need to change more often.
    Thanks for making this video.

Nylon strings? Finger tips hurt so bad sometimes I can't press cords down. Maybe it's the action on my Walmart guitar idk

Nylon strings will help. But first I would try to play a guitar with low action.

I just bought a new acoustic that came with Elixir strings. I was wondering why my #3 finger kept slipping off the low E string. This doesn't happen on my other acoustic. A little research told me that some Elixir's are "slippery". I'm wondering if I should replace them with uncoated strings, or anything known for having more "grip". It doesn't matter if I have to change them more often. I just need to be able to finger chords without sliding off the neck. Very frustrating. Anyone have thoughts on non-coated strings, or strings known to have more grip?

I once went 7-8 years before I changed my strings and the sound of the new strings was deafening in comparison. 😅

After playing grab a rag wipe down your feet board and strings it will prolong the life and keep your feet board from gunk build up and also you can do it in between playing.

I have had the one guitar for 3 years. It's my first guitar.
I have yet to change the strings.
    Do you think it's time?

Man, if they made dough nut strings like dough nut tires or retreads...... I'd put 100,000 miles on them too
