The passage is fast enough to where it doesn’t matter. As long as I can hear D in tune in relation to the notes around it, then D will be fine without the 3rd valve tuning slide.

As someone who played the trumpet back in high school, I love this.
I quit playing in the ninth grade in 1972 and picked it up again when covad happened and now I wish I'd never quit.

Trumpet tip: When you play a D, (1 and 3) make sure your third vaule slide is out at all times during that note.
