    Thanks for watching! 👀I'm going to test replying to some comments with TH-cam shorts so if you have a question comment on the video (not this comment)

    The last point really resonated with me. Giving myself "the right to be in the internet" is something I struggle with. I think, as a millennial, I still have this outdated belief that I have to be given permission to show/recommend anything to others openly. My brain is like, "you want to film cooking videos? Well you should have at least to become an expert in nutrition first".

      I know the feeling, on my photography channel I'm making it clear that I have a lot to learn but I can help people who either are getting started or want to come along for the experience.

    Very useful, thank you! I still get nervous but I'm using your first tip of talking to a friend or family and it's working!

    Very interesting video, definitely must do a little more with the end of my videos which are very much of the 'bye' school. Also, I still, after many videos, look like a rabbit in the headlights - appreciate your comments !!

    Nailed it! This was super valuable for me as someone who is hesitant to get in front of the camera for social media. Ironically, I’m often in front of the camera doing Zoom calls at work so I just need to get comfortable taking those skills I’ve built up in my professional life and translating them for other purposes. Surprisingly easier said than done!

    As a photographer I have been planning on creating more videos to interact with my audience and also cast a wider net. I did not search anything on TH-cam but this came up on my suggested list and watching it re-affirmed what I already thought. Thank you for some great pointers and tips as always!

    Great video Johnny. I resonate with this so much as I feel awkward whenever I’m talking on camera for my IG page. Thanks for the tips and value you provide. Cheers

    Very useful advice - I appreciate how to-the-point and articulate you are. I’ve a lot to learn, but will certainly learn from this one. Thanks!

    Thank you. Very helpful and non intimidating advice. I had a short burst of posting talking videos on instagram stories and then just stopped. I think what made it go well was that i was already thinking about speaking to a friend or just one specific person, so that made it feel more natural. What made it hard was probably that i didn't always have a clear reason why in my mind. Also i agree that focusing on the start and end is very important. I notice this in the videos i watch and the ones with consistent 'take off and landing' are definitely more memorable i find.

      It makes a big difference to be really intentional, unless you just feel like sharing your day!

    I’ve been practicing making. Ideas for a while now, but am still not happy with the results. BUT I think using some footage in reels may be just the thing I need to get the confidence up.
    I know, I’ve drawn from another of your videos, but it makes sense to me.
    Thanks again for some great advice (and not just tips!).

    And- the advantage of just being yourself is that it's much easier in the long run. You don't want to feel pigeonholed into being someone or something that doesn't come naturally.

    Thank you Jonny! The video was really useful! :) I want to start posting speaking content on my social medias cause as a photographer I think that might help people getting to know me better and maybe would like to work together. The funny things is that I usually talk a lot and don't have any issues but as soon as I think of doing it on social media I paralyze as I concentrate on what other people might think, especially as English is not my first language 😌 I should give it a go with your tips 🙏🏻

    • @ItsJonnyKeeley
      @ItsJonnyKeeley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go for it, it's scary at first but like I said in the video, you don't have to post it. That moment when you realise YOU CAN DO IT! is a buzz!

    • @ItsJonnyKeeley
      @ItsJonnyKeeley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know that feeling, apparently in extreme cases like public speaking it’s our fight or flight system sensing nervousness and pushing blood to our legs away from our brain so we can runaway. (Not sure if that’s true)
