A heads up for everyone !! This is a re-upload . I reacted to this movie one years ago !! Was taken down due to copyright issues ! Let's hope we won't have the same issue again !! Thank you for watching
I knew I had seen this reaction before. Anyway, thank you Biss, I enjoyed it like the first time. 💓💓💓Please react to some classics films like the Lethal Weapon film series with Mel Gibson and the film (historical western) Dances with Wolves by Kevin Costner. You will like this last one a lot.😊

This is one of the greatest things Stephen King has ever written. It's easy to take the guy for granted because he is so prolific and omnipresent, but you forget just how monumentally brilliant he is as a storyteller.
Not the story I would've expected you to claim as your favourite, given your username. Clearly you've forgotten the face of your father 😅 But honestly I wouldn't blame anyone for their choice of favourite King story, it's a real testament to his ability.
I love your reactions, and it pisses me off that some people think they have a "right" to tell others how to act, how to feel, what to listen to. Don't explain yourself to anyone , they don't deserve an explanation.
Your reaction to the film was wonderfully human in the deepest and most beautiful way. You understand the story very profoundly that was heartening to watch. Cheers.
Actor Michael Clarke Duncan who played John Coffey was 6' 5" (195.5cm) tall - just one inch taller than his co-star David Morse. Clever camera angles and props were used to make him seem like a giant.

They used sulfa drugs for infections (and they're still used today for UTI) but they apparently come with plenty of unpleasant side effects. I've never had real/serious UTI but Tom Hanks did a great job portraying the characters experience. I could almost feel ghost pains from his performance.

This is such a quality movie, from the original story all the way thru to the acting and character development that makes ALL of us love to hate percy and wild bill. This is another great reaction Biss...thankfully it doesn't hurt as bad as UP did. Stay happy, stay safe, and as always...stay you. ❤from fla usa.
Your reactions are just great, every emotion fitting perfectly, really love your sense of humour, and also seeing deeper into the stories that you watch and feeling the scenes as if you were there. It's lovely to watch. And yes, for a short period of time I had the same urinary infection and it felt exactly like peeing razor blades, one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. On a scale of 0 to 10, pretty much a 9. This is a great film, I saw it many, many years ago and I've never forgotten John Coffee and his ability to heal.
Your reactions are genuine and even though English is not your native language, you articulate your thoughts extremely well. As for what happened to Percy - He would have talked eventually about how he was locked up in the padded room. It would have cost Paul and the others their jobs and probably much more. Percy would have moved on to his new job where he would have bullied and hurt the mentally ill. Instead, both Percy and Wild Bill were punished. Neither of them can hurt anyone else any more.
Great Reaction 🎉 I choose to watch the video just to see your reactions. Mr. Duncan was so happy to be working with Tom Hanks he called his mom to let her know how excited he was. Thanks for the entertainment ‼️
Hey Bis, thanks for reacting to these. I enjoy the way you articulate your ideas. It’s a throw back to the days that I was back in Innsbruck university. I had a professor who influenced forever more how I view literature and the arts, what their impact is on us. Your reactions remind me of that time, but with the elements of innocence and sincere curiosity. There’s a love there that I haven’t seen in a long time.
Hello BissFlix, I have seen over 100 reactions to this movie, as it is my favorite movie of ALL time. I love that you were so spot on with your intuition. That John Coffey would break your heart at the beginning, the fact you felt John Coffey was a healer, and not guilty of what he was accused of. Also, did you know his initials are JC. Like Jesus Christ. He was only about 6'4" and they used camera angles and having him stand on a box to appear taller. In the book he was 7 feet tall. Keep up the good work!! You must be a Pisces with your intuition and feelings!! Take care!!
Frank Darabont has been basically MIA for many years. I can't think of someone so talented and nice that has been f*cked over by greedy Hollywood scumbags more than him. He had a run of horrible disasters; the box office failure of THE MIST, his awesome INDIANA JONES 4 script being rejected by George Lucas, then his ousting from THE WALKING DEAD. After winning his $200 million lawsuit against the producers of THE WALKING DEAD I wouldn't blame him in the least for just kicking back and enjoying a life of peace. But in a perfect world he'd be at the level of Christopher Nolan by now.
BissFlix, I just love your reactions! You are so very delightful and have a beautiful and expressive face. You get really into the feelings/emotions of the tale being told and you don’t hold back on saying so! I also love your accent and tone of voice…..exquisite!! Finally, that smile of yours just lights up your face as well as the air around together with this old heart of mine ❤️ 🤠 You are one of my favourite reactors. 👏🤗👍Thank you for being so honest as well as caring in your presentations. Wonderful reaction.. Pretty sure this must have been taken down before I saw it because I definitely would have remembered some of it. "The Green Mile" and "Shawshank Redemption" are two of my very favorite films and Stephen King is one of my very favorite authors (including his horror novels). So many of his books are not (or cannot be) well translated to film, but those two films, both so emotional, are great successes. Thanks for the sweet reaction Biss!
Percy wanted Del to suffer. It was premeditated. John saw this hatred in Percy’s heart and felt the pain and suffering Del felt during his botched execution. I think the illness that John passed on to Percy was justified. John didn’t kill Percy. He just made it impossible for Percy to inflict pain on anyone ever again.
Its one of the best movie out there, well made, good acting. I mean when you play an evil person and you make everyone hate you, you are good. So all in all really good. Your reflection and thinking, one of the most interesting channel. I've been following you for some time and you never miss the red thread.
This was the second video I watched from Biss and the one that made me subscribe. I like how attentive and genuine she is, and how fired up she gets sometimes (4:52).
Stephen king is a master story teller. MIsery, Dolores Claibourne, the dark half are worth a watch. Along with Wargames, Back to the future, Schindler's list.
Also, it should be noted that this was death row, which is a different environment that the general population of a prison. So it would automatically have a different feel.
Percy really was the worst type of person to be working there. He treated the mouse like he treated everyone who was either weak or vulnerable. He’s your typical spoilt brat who’s grown up never appreciating anything or anyone, looking down on those less fortunate.
Duncan said he owed Bruce Willis for landing the role of John Coffey. They became friends while on the set of Armageddon and Willis recommended him to the producers as perfect for this role. He was so right.
My first time seeing this reaction. Regardless of what others may say about "not reacting right", I have always enjoyed your reactions because they are earnest. I don't always agree with your takes on films, but they are your honest takes. This reaction I found very beautiful and touching. Thank you.
You're judgement is very real and a part of you, don't listen to those people who dislike it. About the lack of crying... Honestly, when you do tear up or cry, I see it mostly as a proof about the quality of the movie and the writing, if it succeed to effect you, so... Don't listen to the viewers, who criticize you about it.
Dean and Tom were in saving Private Ryan and True Grit, and Dean did an amazing true story movie about a pilot who wreck in the Arctic, and was saved by an Eskimo girl!!!
The late Michael Clark Duncan said this was the hardest role he had to prepare for. He also stated that he was genuinely scared when he had that shotgun pointed at him. I missed reading the books when they first came out and kinda wish I would have read them before watching the movie.
Steven King was a master of suspense, thrillers and horror movies. He also wrote children’s books. I think one of my other favorite Steven King movie is Maximum Overdrive.
Don't apologize for an honest reaction. I happen to agree with you, and King at his best is always more thoughtful than emotional. Its one of the reasons he is so good, his horror is in the head of his readers much more than on the pages of his books.
Nice. I liked your explanation of how you approach reaction video's at the end. Can't believe people give you shit for not reacting the way they expect 😮

In the book, Mr.Jingles is initially called “Steamboat Willie” (after Mickey Mouse’s very first short film)- until he is adopted by Del, who changes his name. Michael Clarke Duncan, the actor, was 6’5”. So yes he was pretty tall already; they used camera tricks to make him look even bigger. -John Coffey is 7 feet tall.
The lawyer Tom Hanks goes to see is played by the great Gary Sinise, who starred with Hanks as 'Lt. Dan' in FORREST GUMP. Gary Sinise is truly a wonderful human being. He has dedicated his life to his charity supporting military veterans. Just recently his son died after a battle with spinal cancer.
You are right, it is a beautiful movie. Great story. I liked your reaction. When Paul was hesitating taking his hand I like how you said, "Do it!" Hahaha! That is the same as I say it in those situations! Except I usually say, "Do it! Do it! Chu can do it!" 😁 So sad you feel you have to explain to people not to judge your reactions. It is sad that there are people that cannot understand that we are all different and react differently. I think people that think like that must not know very many people to not know we can act differently even though we may still be feeling the same emotions. Anyway, to answer your question, a urinary tract infection, or a bladder infection hurts very much when you are urinating. He described it quite well in the movie, it is like pissing razorblades. And the really painful thing is that once you start urinating you cannot just stop. So you are having to deal with the pain till you finally finish. I would imagine that it is the same for females as well, but maybe it is not. All I know is I have had infections twice in my life and I hope to never have one again.
Don't worry, I didn't cry to this movie either. I very rarely do. There are only two scenes I can remember that got me crying in 34 years. 1. The muppet christmas carol when you see Tiny Tim's crutches against the wall and the family table without him at christmas. That's the most brutal thing ever 😂. 2. An episode of smallville when you see a flashback of lex luther as a child sat at a large table on his own for his birthday with a party hat on and many empty chairs and he is crying because no-one came to his party. My heart still hasn't recovered from that one 😂. Nothing makes you notice loss more than a table.
Well done! The lawyer was played by Gary Sinise, who played Lieutenant Dan with Tom Hanks, in Forest Gump. and was also in the mini series, The Stand, based on the Stephen King book.

One of my favorite movies. The whole cast sells it.
You're judgement is very real and a part of you, don't listen to those people who dislike it. About the lack of crying... Honestly, when you do tear up or cry, I see it mostly as a proof about the quality of the movie and the writing, if it succeed to effect you, so... Don't listen to the viewers, who criticize you about it.
thank you for your reaction. It is ok nit to cry.
I very much enjoyed your reaction.
Dean and Tom were in saving Private Ryan and True Grit, and Dean did an amazing true story movie about a pilot who wreck in the Arctic, and was saved by an Eskimo girl!!!
Juhu!!! Thanks for your reaction for this great, sadness movie.
fresh fish fresh fish, Biss you crack me up!
so adorable when you cry
The late Michael Clark Duncan said this was the hardest role he had to prepare for. He also stated that he was genuinely scared when he had that shotgun pointed at him. I missed reading the books when they first came out and kinda wish I would have read them before watching the movie.
He had every right to punish those two men. He is JC.
Steven King was a master of suspense, thrillers and horror movies. He also wrote children’s books. I think one of my other favorite Steven King movie is Maximum Overdrive.
Love your reaction❤no matter what anyone says, this is such a great movie😉😘
Beautiful reaction. 💕
Nothing wrong with your reactions, thanks for sharing them with us.
❤❤❤ extraordinaria. Película. Dos. Reflexiones. El. Hombre. Por. No. Atreverce. Se. Atrevió a. Cosas. Peores. Lo. Exencial es invisible a los ojos. Gracias. Biss. Un. Abrazo
Love your hoodie :)
You’re my fav. Keep doing what you’re doing 😊🤙🏻
Just to note, penicillin wasn't refined until 1943, we take for granted COMMON infections today, back in the 30s a "U.T.I." was a real problem.
Percy deserved what he got because Steven King decided it when he wrote the books!
You are right, it is a beautiful movie. Great story. I liked your reaction. When Paul was hesitating taking his hand I like how you said, "Do it!" Hahaha! That is the same as I say it in those situations! Except I usually say, "Do it! Do it! Chu can do it!" 😁
So sad you feel you have to explain to people not to judge your reactions.
I guess I missed the original upload, so thanks for putting in the work to get it back on TH-cam. Also an FYI - no antibiotics back then, so infections were a bitch to get rid of. Or they'd kill you.
