Fan-freakin'-tastic! I love it. What a great card for Tim. I save interesting packaging to use in my makes and also as replacements for stuff I'd have to buy (shakers, acetate). i would warn that it's not a good idea to use packaging in your hot foil machine. I have a permanent image on my top plate from packaging heating into it. I got the effect I wanted and it doesn't effect the end result but I did add a paper towel for a few passes before I trusted it not to rub off onto my other projects anymore.
Anything from your trash 🚮 bin could only be creative fodder. What a special and beautiful card. Thanks for the heads-up for Tim’s birthday and for sharing your ideas. 😊

When you became a member of his design team, my heart was overjoyed for you because I knew of the respect and admiration you had for him through your heartfelt flip through and explanation of that journal. That card is amazing & love the concept of it! A tip to get the contrast you wanted without it overpowering the packaging background, would be to cut a second lot of the flowers out of black & slightly offset them behind the other ones as shadows. Although I love the texture you got on the piece you coloured. Lol just after I wrote this you started adding the black frames as shadows. Definitely the same wavelength! I bet Tim loves this card 😊

The sidekick machine is absolutely wonderful, especially for small things where you don't need a ton..I like that I can cut without the need of leaving my craft desk. You can find all the prices online, I like to shop at Simon Says Stamp. They have a great choice of products.
