Thanks for letting us know that you would still be the same person if you would only have a tenth of your supplies you would still be the same person. I’m very happy with what I have at the moment. I just like to be creative and be distracted from my daily problems. Thank you for letting me realize that. I love your honesty ❤

Thank you for addressing the fact that we don't need a ton of supplies to make amazing stuff. Your aesthetic is your aesthetic. It will shine through no matter how much stuff you have or don't have. Thank you for the reminder.

Luise, I'm in awe of how thoughtfully & carefully you've organized the structure/design of your craft room...especially recalling how it looked during the construction phase!! I'm sure this took a lot of effort and you should be proud of the great job you did!
Like you, I always start projects based on color and then pull in the "components". This video helped me understand how a visually driven crafter can better organize. Your primary inspiration are colors, so the wall of inks/paints/papers is the focal point. The secondary element (components) are stored in closed storage (drawers, baskets, bins) to reduce visual distraction. The third element (tools) are positioned where they are used most. Your "creating space" (desk) is reserved only for current projects to keep clutter to a minimum. And when a project is complete the "colors, components and tools" go back to their specific home and your craft room returns to its neat and tidy design. You continue to inspire on so many levels!!

What a beautifully thought out craft room. It must have been incredibly satisfying to design the perfect space for your brain style and your creative style. The perfection and organization of the room must allow more room for design ideas without having to think about what to use and where to find it. Your brain may be different but in the most wonderful way. Thank you for sharing your home and especially your incredible craft space. 🤗🇨🇦🤗 Liz

You said the most encouraging words for me. That no matter our space, we are crafters. I had to sacrifice my craft room for my grandson. My supplies are mostly boxed up, which makes it frustrating when I work on a craft. But I am continuing to paper craft. Love how you stored your stencils. Thank you for your craft room tour. 💚💚💚

thanks so much for sharing your new space with us. i am sure it took days and days for you to get it up and functional to your liking. just a little hint at about the 1:20 mark while you were telling us about the cabinet with all the texture mediums. there are little tabs of metal (just above the rock candy jar and one across at the same position) that can be bent inward to prevent the drawers from pulling out to far. there may be different places to do those little bends so be careful because once bent or if you ever want to take the drawer out completing the bent tabs may prevent that option from happening easily. so bend inward a little at a time until you need the tabs to be. i use a flat head screw driver to give them a little push. looking forward to all the magic being creating from this room.

I'm never jealous of anyone who has more than me. I'm very happy for anyone. I've redded out and have become very selective in getting things. I don't want them if they're going to sit. Everyone is at a different level of items. It takes time to accumulate. I'm surprised your labeling is not in german. Luise, this is the most beautiful, organized craft room I have ever seen! I loved seeing this video.

So lovely to have a face to go with your voice. I so enjoy your sense of humor - a bit twisted like mine. Albert Einstein said “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” In your case could not agree more. I’ve learned so much from you - thank you for sharing your viewpoint and experience. I’m having the time of my life in my art room letting go and making the art I want to make and most importantly being proud of all I do even the not so good stuff because I had the courage to try and there is always something to learn! 💜💕♥️

Luise, I love your chat in and amongst your tour. I know that Ranger/Tim Holtz has many more products that what I have purchased, but I don't purchase them because they would likely set on a shelf or get poked in a drawer and never used. I like the colors that I own and use, which by the way is nowhere near the way that Tim uses them, but along my journey I settled into my own way of making journals and mini albums and using those products makes me happy and complements the work that I do. I am especially interested in watching your craft room tour for the same reason I watched and rewatched your apartment tour. I want to see how you present yourself and your things so that I can see ideas for presenting myself and my things. I find it quite comforting or maybe satisfying that you place special items in and around your crafting items. I mean why not put things you like to look at in and among things you work with; that way you have a place for your eyeballs to rest when you pause in working to stretch or to adjust what you thought you were gonna do but now that you are in the act of doing it it just doesn't fit the flow or it's an irritant at the time and you need to rethink that step in the process. Having special things to focus on helps to keep the 'failure' thoughts out of your head and moves the creative processes forward. I'm really glad you decided to share your home with us.

Luise, you are such an incredible person! You have a beautiful creative brain, and a captivating spirit! I am so honoured to be a TH-cam guest in your amazing home and craft room🙏🥰🤗
I love how you organized your space so very well to create such a functional
working environment in your craft room! The big cabinet is a dream item for myself too! The way you organize your containers to hold the pieces you’re working with to build into your journals is brilliant!! I would love to incorporate that into my creative space, while hunting for a big cabinet similar to yours.
That one cabinet on rollers where the top keeps sliding out, perhaps it could either be drilled down, or taken off and adhered with some very strong adhesive, depending on what it’s made from? Just a thought🤗
Can’t wait for the next video, love from 🇨🇦❄️🥰🤗

Wow, love your craft room. It’s fantastic. You also look beautiful and happy. So true , you don’t need a lot of room to be creative or need tons of supplies. I never had a craft room. Now in the last 15 years been crafting in a corner of my living room before that I crafted in my little kitchen. But I have a lot of craft stuff or supplies collected over 35 years. I have supplies all over my apartment, in my walk in closet, under the bed . Chest and drawers, 😆😆🤣. It’s every where. In my coat closet. My problem is when I need something I don’t remember where I put it. I do have a large craft table next to it a bin with 5 drawers. And I keep the stuff I need daily around me. Some supplies on the floor. My sewing machine is in my closet, I do have to pull it out and sew on my kitchen table. I sew very little because of that. When I was young and had a house I sewed. I had a sewing room. But now at my old age live in a Senior apartment. I don’t craft like I used . So I create projects in a small area. I do ok. You get used to it. At least I can create something if I feel like it. But I love how you organized your room. It’s beautiful, Louise. I wish you all the best. You are a genius of a crafter. You are amazing. Wish I was talented like you.

Hello.. I LOVE your Ranger Media Wall of Color!!! I also have the full range of 72 colors in the various formats (ink, oxide, paint, etc.) but I store them by format rather than by color… and they’re mostly all in coordinating plastic storage bins with seals… looks organized… but… it’s a pain to actually get them out to use them. My space is not conducive to have wall shelving like yours but I do LOVE the idea… I will look forward to your other craft room videos… I appreciate the extra time you took to add meaning to the tour…. Have a creative day! 🙂

You look so pretty and happy. You have done a wonderful job organizing your room, it is a visual delight. I'm sure you will have a blast practicing your craft there. I have a suggestion for the drawer units on your desk that keep moving backwards: a couple of small angle brackets (shaped like the letter L) that you could screw to table behind the drawers to act as stoppers. By the way, during your video I went upstairs and put on a plaid shirt - I'm in pain too.

Stamper’s Anonymous sells clear stamp boards to mount stamps on. They are the original size of the ones you get when you buy a stamp set. The only difference is, they are clear and you would have to label them on the top corner to know what stamp set it is. I also got clear bags which are quite sturdy to stick the set into so if stamps become dislodged it doesn’t fall into the drawer. Hope this helps.

❤ I remember yr first vintage photo - it might have been walnut stain - ink pad which was totally demolished with a hole in it 😂 I love how much you have accomplished in such a short time, so much inspiration, kitchen pan interiors, boom 🎉what a great idea. I have only the products I need, but my ideology collection is extensive, I’m thinking of setting up a mini museum of th findings 😂 so many have been retired 😢 over the yrs I can’t bear to use them 🤦🏼‍♀️ have you a special treasures area?! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous work space !

The small cabinets on your desk that move, you could put a small rubber stopper on the desk or two behind each one so it won’t be permanently attached if things change in the future and minimal damage to the desk. The stamp sets with the missing acetate, stampers anonymous sells the clear sheets and a five pack. And then you could make your own label you could even do that on the mixed media combo stamp sets or even the non-stampers anonymous brands for uniformity. This is lovely and I am so jealous of your organized space. I am in process of purging art stuff that I absolutely don’t use and a whole lot of other things in my house.💚🖤💚

I love the old wood cabinet with all the drawers! Did you say where you got the plastic drawers that you altered & how you did that? It looks great & I love that idea for my current project on my desk!
Beautiful layout - I didn't realize all the colors Tim Holtz had!!

Hello Luise, This is so great to see the results of your move! So much work! As I'm watching, consider the word TENTATIVE, and the word OVERWHELMED... more as I get more into the video!

OH! you know the word OVERWHELM, nevermind! SORTED is correct. It means you have organized these the way you want them. Here's another one... you hope you can hold your camera STEADY.

I was thinking that you could put your bench on the wall where your desk used to be and hang a rack up above where you can hang coats and jackets. Or you can tell me to mind my own business! 😂

Hi there Luise, I just watched your video and I love how you have your stencils and your stamps organized…I do have a question about your oxide/ink pad storage as to what they are in…I’m not sure if I missed that part but will you please tell me? Thanks so much for doing this tour and yes for going into detail and explaining the concepts of it all…I look forward to the next one!
P.S. I’ve just moved into an apartment and am looking for better storage solutions than I had before…all of my craft supplies are still packed up

Loving the tours! Yes, my heat tool looks exactly like yours. It’s a mess, but it never crossed my mind to try to clean it up. Also, I’m on my 3rd one bc I use it so much and am very hard on my tools. 😊
