Happy to see young massage therapists on right track. I am 67 years old and still working massage part time. Every thing you mentioned is good advice and it worked for me all these years. Massage work actually keeps you healthy if done correctly. Iam very healthy, no chronic pain or damage to any part of my body. Remember massage therapists we are athletes and healers and must take care of ourselves in order to help others.😊
Wow this is awesome and a great reminder for me! I hope to be healthy throughout the years! Trying to exercise and eat best as much as possible. Thank you 😊
Great video! Please keep sharing your experience because it’s been so helpful as I’ve made the decision to switch careers and start massage school in March! I’m in my early 30s and so this is very scary, but your videos just affirm that this is truly my calling. Thank you!
Hello, I recently graduated this summer and am now getting my LLC! I love your videos because they have helped me to keep motivated and i found them to be very well made and informative. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing! Some of my goals for this year are similar to yours: making sure I exercise/eat healthy, learn from my coworkers about their techniques while expanding my knowledge, and be better about saving money so I can own my own practice one day. I'm currently in school so I'm exited to see your process on this journey. 🥰💞
I'm starting MT school on MONDAY (3/20!) So my goals are to get through school while keeping my sanity, taking and passing my state licensing exams and find a good job!
I just came across your video. I haven't had a massage since i graduated from massage school in 2012. I planning on taking the mblex in July and hopefully ill pass this time
Hello, I just started watching your channel not too long ago, and have already learned so much! I begin classes june 2023 and to say the least, my inner child is so excited!! 😂😂 My goals as a massage therapist this year are acing every test, getting my business name licensed, and completing a rough draft of my business plan. When I graduate next year, I will go into spa 😭😂 of course LOL I am also interested in sports massage, but my first year I’d like to get a feel of the spa industry mostly, it’s always been a dream of mine to open my own spa and I’m finally on the path of doing so 🥹🥹🤍🤍🦋🦋
Hi heather! I just answered this question in my recent live video! However, how often do you get bodywork done on yourself? What is your body mechanics like? Do you do any form of exercise to build stamina? And how many hours do you work a week? If you work too much or have too many clients, it may be harder for you to keep massaging! All good questions to think about!
Hi, in order to make about $300/week doing massage therapy, how many hours would I need to work in order to make that amount (on average). Thank you! -Charlene
Hi! Im confused.....at the beginning of the video you talked as if you were already a massage therapist...but then you said you have to take your MBLEX....so who's perspective is this from? Were you able to work as a massage therapist before you get licensed?
Good question! So California doesn’t require the MBLEX to become certified :) you can start working right away after you graduate. However other states require MBLEX to become licensed :)
How has your first year as a massage therapist been? 😊
