      @@famz8295but he would also get beaten by younger compatriots, he was ranked 148 in juniors at age 15 while Thijs Boogaard is ranked no.41 at age 14, and there are even players like Alliassime and Alcaraz already hat ATP points at age 14 (and Carlos beat the no.140 ATP ranked player at age 15). But he already has to be insanely good to be even compared to these players, so he has a bright future.

    I really think Felix your main weakness is that you play reactionary tennis. Your anticipation is secondary rather than primary (you are feeling the opponents play rather than taking charge with your own). This match is a good example. Ben is moving to position with a lot more confidence, you are relying on your speed to get you out of trouble, which doesn't work on a grass court. I would advise working on anticipation drills (perhaps reaction times, reading patterns, breaking down regular plays etc).
    You need bread and butter to go to rather than trying to add too many layers. Of course all the top 100 players have all the shots, but primarily they all have a Route A that just works for them 80% of the time.

      @mrdreamboy ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree, Felix is being reactive rather than proactive...but that's honestly a hard change for a lot of people. It's a mental shift. I compare it to people who are good at the range in golf and then when they go to the course they forget their swing and just try to hit the ball - rather than trust their swing. But yeah, I wish that flex lost on his sword rather than on his shield.

    Recently I went to some U14, U16 tournaments. It is so nice to see. The servs are not massive and the rallies are amazing! I really enjoyed it. I am wondering if there is any way we can follow the u14, u16 matches better ??!!

    "I had very low expectations" (TM) - Felix.
    Come on Felix, you literally same this shit every time you play. First clay tournament, first grass, some ranked dude, some famous kid. Your mind set is obvious here, you need to change it man.

    At 28yo I played an open tournament that I believe was won by a 13 yo. Michael Chang was good early. A friend’s son is 9yo, (10yo USTA) and now that I’m in my late 60s could probably beat me. He’s the #1 10u in the world, having just won the Smrikva Bowl. For reference, Carlos lost in the finals and Holger lost in the 1/4s back when they were 10.
