      No it's not.
      Point play is not same as actual set play.
      Problem with Felix in most of his matches he has lost , most games are 30-30 but he has never been able to convert them into games against player ranked higher than him.
      But hats off for all the effort he puts in.

    And there you have it. Finally you play singles like you play doubles. It's time to release the beast Felix. Start smashing those forehands like the ball owes you money. Great work.

    • @DATennis
      @DATennis 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      Felix's marketing has to be studied. Fans in the comments don't know tennis.. Every guy in the Top 2000 can play points in practice with Top 100 players. Djokovic plays practice points with unranked players. College players. Felix will go to lose Futures Qualies and it has no thing to do with confidence. Learn tennis before commenting these things.

      @@Dfblack2008 I'm offering a reality check. I offered advice in the past. His fans got defensive so I chose not to anymore. I gave exact tips on what he did wrong on the backhand. More than 1 time. He chose to ignore it and only answer the ones glazing him. Pick on me or pick on the TH-cam creator that only answers, likes and pins comments that help him retain fans which generate him money. He is selling you a fake dream.

    • @tascolino538
      @tascolino538 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@DATennis Yeah it may be a dream and yeah he may not get past a certain level in his career but he's living his dream. He can work to fix certain things in his game other things he might ignore or not focus on but again it's his life and he's living his dream. Some way you are probably living yours. What exactly do you find so upsetting about that?

    • @conanthecribber
      @conanthecribber 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@DATennis While it is true, that the top 2000 players can all hang in there with top 20 players for a few points, it is not true, that they can be competitive in matches. This was an exceptional performance from Felix and should be recognised as such. To climb the rankings, you have to have four main attributes power, consistency, athleticism and mental strength. Repeatedly in videos Felix has demonstrated power and athleticism advantage over his opponents. However his consistency has been not where it should be. In this video, he recognises it and speaks about it at the end i.e. he should go for it and use his advantages. Like his attitude in doubles, he just needs to go for it. Perhaps with this positive experience his mental strength will improve where he finally trusts the other parts of his game to the point, that he can play at this level regularly. I do not think that it is unreasonable to say that he can reach his goal of the top 1000, or even higher. Finally I strongly dispute your statement "it has nothing to do with confidence". I personally have played 3 sports at a high level (even state and internaitionally). Confidence (mental strength) is absolutely a game changer at the highest level. For someone who admonishes others not to comment if they do not know tennis, you must have missed a whole lot of players in interviews saying "they felt tight" at clutch moments. This is where confidence becomes the fourth attribute that is so EXCEPTIONALLY critical, particularly in head to head sports. You can't rely on your team, it's you that has to pull through. I don't know how far Felix's journey will go. I can easily imagine him getting deeper into M15 and M25 events and accumulating a few points. You need about 12 ATP to make the top 1000. I think that's definitely possible and whatever else happens in his career, earning any ATP points is a great achievement in itself.

    Practice or not, it’s best level we’ve ever seen you play by far. At that level, against a player of that calibre, the biggest risk is not taking any risk at all. And when the confidence is there, we all know what you’re capable of. Great video too, exciting to see - incredible stuff! 💪

      Come on man, Lorenzo's inside out backhand is a weapon. He was only pushing instead of swinging, to the middle. Stop giving this kid false confidence, he needs to be able to finish those easy balls way better.

      @@theFedHD Lorenzo was running around the ball opening up inside out to the forehand and decided to loop it back to the T. Come on even an amateur should have picked that up.

      @@simonebattaglin7595 You are getting it wrong. He is on a journey to become a professional. I am not. If you want to be delusional about Lorenzo's effort here, so be it.
      Obviously he is hitting well, the question is how far away is he from top 100 or even 1000?
      He needs a good coach. Karue Sell could teach him tactics, he has a great eye for the game.

    I know Lorenzo since I was 14 y/o. He worked hard to reach the level he is now and is continuing to work hard. The level it is not done by half hour of training where even a non pro player that have talent as you can play at the quite same level… the problem is when you have to do it for three hours and for 6 day per week….. all the year long….Continuity at the highest level is the key. Lorenzo is first of all a great athlete. This is the first. Then to continuity start from his mindset ( since he was junior he always was a nr 1 of his age in the tour and he is mentalized for that even if he loose some match) . Improve every day, work a lot and never give up. Tennis is very difficult for that. You have the shoots, you have the athleticism . But at the end of a training of one hour you were out of stamina. This is not possible in pro tennis level. This is the first step you have to do to play at THAT level…. Now you can play at futures level expecially on hard court. But to achieve a real next level you have to do a great step in athlete conditioning. Prove yourself that you can go there with mentality and continuity !

    This has to be one of your top videos of all time if not, no.1. You were near matching it with Lorenzo and demonstrated your level.
    Would have loved to have just witnessed Musetti's backhand let alone rally. While Stan and Dominic have power and Gasquet is like a always reliable magical wand, Lorenzo backhand is flamboyant and quite flawless.

    I stumbled upon your channel, and I must say, your tennis skills and the videos are fantastic! My 8-year-old son is working hard to improve his tennis, and he was heartbroken last weekend when he couldn’t get any autographs from the ATP players at the Antwerp European Open, which we attended as a birthday present. A signed ball from Lorenzo would be a priceless memory and a huge inspiration for him!

    This is the best tennis I've seen you play Felix. Your defense has always been excellent, but you are starting to impose your will more on offense. That is the key for you breaking through.

    Wow, you played amazingly! Despite Musetti not playing his best tennis, you played some amazing points and produced some crazy shots!
    Keep it up and I'm sure you'll make it to the top 1000 soon enough 😊

    What strikes me is the consistency of the top players. Felix played incredible winners but on another day they are hitting the net or going long. Lorenzo just grinds you down and doesn't miss. Tennis isn't about the big shots, its just keep getting it back. Having said that well played Felix, awesome today.

    W video. Crazy how playing against someone as good as Lorenzo can make you play so much better than against the average 2000 ranked player you usually have to face off against. Hope this match helps you get in the groove and start winning more of these first round matches so that you can finally get to your deserved ranking 😊

    For me its absolutely normal to see you winning "championship tie breaks" vs museti, not only because you are a very good player Felix, but also you are training with no pressure of winning because he is top 20 ATP. He is just practicing and training for the official matches. Still, very impressive Felix! I love your forehand and your Serve!

    If you can do this, your ranking will shoot up👊👊👊
