Therapy dogs used to visit the facility my grandmother had to live in after her stroke and let me tell you they make a huge difference in that setting. Also the bunny ears on zest were such a great idea!

All these therapy dogs in numerous videos don’t show any interest in the patients. I would feel rejected by them in all encounters. I am bedridden since 13 years in palliative care. 😢
Zest is regularly groomed and bathed every time she comes in to work, and is able to enter approved areas. She is as clean and sweet as can be. She's a wonderful and important part of the hospital team!
@@taylorhamlen1060 there is no data to show that dogs improve patient outcomes. I would be appalled if I was in hospital and some idiot brought a dog into my ward.
@@richardwadd9769 there actually are research studies that follow the positive affects of therapy animals on patients mental health, with it's wonderful for the staff as well. I would be more than happy to find some for you!
I'm crying... Zest is such a good girl in her bunny ears! She is such a special girl and kudos to the hospital for supporting her being there

Therapy dog for the doctors, nurses, therapists......their jobs are super stressful. High risk jobs.

Hospitals should be sanitary. Why would they bring in an animal that rolls around in its own shit?

@@taylorhamlen1060 please do. I hope they are independent studies.
It had to be one negative person to bring in a dark cloud of dust on such a heartwarming video. Not all dogs do that.
