I'm still playing the original game. I've played for years but only REALLY getting into it now because before I made every character but then got confused and had to redo it all🤣 Now I'm focusing on one class at a time but it takes a lot longer than I thought to do everything lol

I don't understand the girl one at all. I play as both male and female characters for the full experience, and I never interact with people anyway. I hate socializing eith strangers especially when there's so much toxicity too so I just play all games alone and treat them as single player games as my own adventures 🤣
So, it's not much of a thing anymore, but back in the day people would literally give almost anything to characters they thought were girls. People more naturally assumed that the gender of the avatar was the gender of the player. Over 20 years ago I played a female character on the original Everquest. It was supposed to be a joke between me and a couple buddies. What ended up happening was that within 2 days this new "fake" character had been given so many gifts by other players, that she had better gear and more money than my main account. So I basically shrugged my shoulders, deleted my original main account and just stuck with her.
Technically the term is Gurl. Everyone knows girls don't play video games. If they did there would be streamers all over the place of girls streaming games and I would as we speak be playing Valkyria Chronicles 4 on my Switch. Good thing none of this is happening thanks to the undeniable science that girls would never play video games.
@@bumblebeeyellowdragon "gurl" doesn't fit the acronym 😉 I'm aware women/girls play video games - I was kind of leaning into Mike questioning if the girl in-game was a guy IRL. It wasn't about if girls play video games; it was about guys using girl avatars in-game.

I just happened to notice someone in chat use the "i" variant 1-2 years back, so that stuck in my head. Wasn't aware 'gurl' was the same thing - that definitely brings context to some chats I've seen with 'gurl' used 😅
(Warning! Sword Art Online Season 1 spoilers in this comment for anyone who cares.) Why do I get the feeling that Baelin is actually the creator of the game or a server admin or something like that. Sort of like Kayaba posing as Heathcliff in Sword Art Online; only instead of being the "best player in the game" he's just REALLY into roleplaying as an NPC.
I recently started playing a game called Valkyria Chronicles 4. It's got RPG elements in it but also a mix of turn based strategy mixed with real time reactions and shooting in a unique combat system.
