- Painting my Everchosen Painting Competition entry, the Lord of Blights by Games Workshop. This was a fun journey to be on and I'd like to share with you a video about how I painted this entry in about 6 days before the deadline. There is a lot to learn here about miniature painting, contrast and color composition, NMM copper and how to make your nurgle miniatures really shine. I hope you enjoy it!

This video is amazing. Thank you for doing these even though you're not getting the results you'd want from youtube. Can't thank you enough for these. These shorter to the point things who include everything, like the base especially. Makes me so happy! These are great for people like me getting into display painting

Fantastic, concise breakdown of how you painted this guy. You make the base creation (look) deceptively simple and now I want to try my hand at making some tree branches.

thanks a lot mate! no deception intended for the base, I honestly did the base on the last day and I didn't have the time to film everything. If it wasn't for the deadline I'd have more footage on it, sorry again!
No, I mean you make the base look easy but when I try something like that it doesn't turn out looking as good.

Such an amazing paint job! Love the way you painted the shield and the armour especially. The technique for verdigris is really beautiful.
I notice the maggots on the chest look a little dry and almost stuck on. Do you think a glossy finish so they look like they are wet from the internal juices of the main model. l would have worked? Could have some juices leaking out of the wounds beneath them too to match. I feel like that would have made for a nice contrast of finish if done right. If you were going to try that, how would you go about it?

thanks! mixed sources - crazywenky.de a lot of the time and I usually go on a shopping frenzy at miniature shows. This one i got from a show.
Good luck - unfortunately the pictures on the GW site are tiny & with a rating scale out of 5 it will be hard to meaningfully separate entrants :-/

Aye, very hard to find - very very high quality entrants though, somewhat marred by the skill of the staff taking the pictures
every store winner had to take their own picture. There is just so many people that never bothered to learn how to take proper pictures of their stuff...

Great paintjob! Gave that a 4 or 5 i think. I'm sure I'm not the only one upset with the reaaaally baaaad picture quality on many of the miniatures. GW can't be happy with that.
