There's a huge discontinuity problem regarding the ring tbh. In LoTR Gollum lost it before Bilbo picked it up. But in the Hobbit, Bilbo and Gollum made a wager. Talking about the riddles.
I think the hobbit tries to reconcile the differences that are reflected in the changes Tolkien made in the chapters. In the Hobbit they do make a wager where Gollum actually bets his ring, Bilbo guesses right but the ring is missing and he shows him the way out. And gollum isn’t a crazed character. In the first chapter Tolkien changed Gollum, because the nature of the ring changed, and the interaction so that Gollum had no intention of giving up the ring. in both versions Bilbo finds the ring
There’s no continuity issue Tolkien just changed it. The thing that remained the same is that Bilbo found the ring and hid it from Gollum. The only thing that changed was Gollums willingness to give up the ring.
In the scene where Smeagol fights with Deagol over the newfound ring, I'm surprised Peter Jackson didn't stop the filming to fix the actor's faux Hobbit ear, which had made itself loose from the water! I do know that Peter didn't direct that opening scene, so perhaps their wasn't time; but I'd really like to know if Peter realized his ear had become detached and jiggling about in his struggle with Smeagol!

Sad how the ring warped him mentally and physically.. like he is innocent but the ring tempts him to be cruel
I’ve wondered why the witch king didn’t sense the ring when he flew like 5 feet away from Frodo and Sam near Minas morgul
Exactly 😂😂😂
The Ring is Sauron Horcruxe. Just like Lord Voldemort Horcruxes.
Perfect movie yes ❤😂❤
Unlike popular comments, Sam deserved better than to Gollum to screw everything up. But Sméagol deserved so much better.
Need more movies and games
Poor smeagol/gollum.😢💔
What a Video
اجمل فلم في التاريخ فلم خرافي خرافي خرافي يجنن روعه
I hope that after death Illuvatar cleansed Gollum’s mind so that he could have peace
Serkis was on a Daniel Day Lewis level playing Gollum and Caeser!

nice cut...
Shame he died rip I love smeagol he's my fav character
Precious?.....
It's been called that before.
But not by _you..._
Verry nice film i like it my friend
nice video and i like exciting, you better watch it
Actually gollum is true mvp because he basically kept the ring hidden from both man and Sauron
Local ring ghoul gulu lord
Unknown : Smeagol more popular than sauron😉😉
so good film making. you can see the evil and psycho smeagol is when looking at the worm and the hook
I love gollum
28:20 Sauron says oh my gosh
I thoght the same, incredibly sad he was handsome before bearing the ring, becoming the berror made him become a monster phisically and mentally....
I absolutely loved this movie ❤
Do not take me as a conjurer of cheap tricks 😎
Good luck bro
He could not resist the power of the one ring!
