I read a story about Barbara and Ross just before she died that always makes me cry whether it's true or not, apparently Ross went to visit her and said hello mum to greet her and she replied who are you? he reportedly got so upset that he had to leave the room and cry as the gravity of her illness weighed down on him and became a reality
The term 'national treasure' is overused these days but Barbara truly was a wonderful person , she was the star of the show in EastEnders & the Carry On films especially with that unforgettable laugh , she had time for everyone with a genuine warmth and generosity of spirit that is all too rare in 'showbiz' these days. At last she is free of her debilitating dementia that robbed us all of her zest for life , heaven has just gained an angel , farewell Babs !.
As l have read on her website,,she had 5 abortions, one when she was 42 years old. You would have thought a woman of that age who was very clear that she didnt want children ever would do the responsible thing and have her tubes tied , but no, she had abortion after abortion after abortion. Disgusting and totally ignorant when in this day and age there are many way to prevent pregnancies. People go off at teenagers irresponsible behaviour and getting pregnant, this woman was 42 years and had 5 unwanted pregnancies.

She often tells me of her experiences of how it affects not only the individuals themselves but their Families and Friends (nothing breaking confidentiality of course). It's such a heartbreakingly cruel illness. 💔 xxx

Barbara Windsor was and will always be an absolute gem legend and anything good in this world 🌎 I had the privilege and pleasure to meet her at palma airport years ago and got a pic one of the best moments of my life she was so lovely what you see is what you get she was a lady beyond measure ❤️ sadly missed

problem with care for dementia is the majority of people who do the job, family included don't understand the condition and they can't be bothered to learn about it. in my dads' home just down from Flixborough , Scunthorpe ( he did not have it) I saw the staff lock them in rooms naked and blinds open to the roa d , dad used to call it the kennel block.
