I am so old I seen tank when it first came out. It is as awesome as it looks when James garner is pointing the tank at the deputy. This movie can never ever be remade any better
I was stationed in Germany in the Army when it came out and me and my buddies went and seen it at the on post theater, we particularly liked the good old boy sheriff getting his face jammed in a big old humble pie, and the bikers who come to the rescue at the end. At that time it was really great seeing James Garner and Shirley Jones in a movie together as they were both such icons from our generation growing up in the 70's, James Rockford and Mrs Partridge in a movie together, what could have been better than that in 1984?
I enjoyed the review of Sing Street, but please note the movie is not a UK production. It's set in Dublin, the capital of Ireland in 1985 and was written directed by an Irishman, John Carney.
I once heard an interview with Mr. Gunnar Sønsteby, the spy from the Norwegian movie Nr. 24. They asked him why so many from the resistance(spies), often got so many psychological problems after the war, many ended up as alchoholics, committed suicide, or ended up in psychiatric institutions, while he seemed so grounded and fine, without those problems. He answered: "I think that many lived in the hope that they would survive the war, and hoped not to be captured or tortured and so on. That made them so tense during the five years, that after the war, they never came down from that tension. I had no such hope. I had this state of mind that I was already dead, that I would not survive this." Mr Gunnar Sønsteby died in 2012, 94 years old.
Might be worth pointing out Uprising was written and produced by Park Chan-Wook, arguably one of the greatest Korean directors of the last 2 decades with Oldboy (2003), The Handmaiden (2016), Decision to Leave (2022) under his belt, among several other greats.
Under Suspicion is an american remake of "Garde à Vue", 1981 French psychological crime drama directed by Claude Miller and starring Romy Schneider, Michel Serrault, Lino Ventura and Guy Marchand. It is based on the 1979 British novel Brainwash, by John Wainwright.

i watched Kneecap on a flight back from England recently. And i watched on on the screen of the seat in front of me. And even just that and reading the subs it was awesome. Quality lads movie

FYI: Moe Berg also travelled with a Major League tour of Japan in 1937 that included Babe Ruth. Pictures he tookof Tokyowere used to determine targets for the Doolittle Raid. Moe was also a frequent dinner Guest of President Roosevelt!
Tank is a forgotten classic. I haven't seen it since I was a kid but for a while it had me obsessed with tanks. I still to this day want an M1 Abrams. 😂😂😂

Definitely gonna watch Under Suspicion, maybe Shiva Baby & probably Sing Street (mainly for that killer lookin’ soundtrack!) Ad Vitam was a good French movie. I don't always like European movies but it had some terrific action action and interesting storey.

It was good because it had a lot of inside-baseball stuff for Army vets. Also, Jennilee Harrison with no bra.
