OMG Mad Mad Mad Mad World absolutely had me ROLLING as a kid! The cast is the A list of comic actors of that time, including of course Jonathan Winters about as good as you ever could see him. Lars and the Real Girl has more heart than you might think. And Nick Cage had friends film him drunk, and he watched the video to inform his drunk performance.
OOOOH and the famous "I'm walking here" line was an AD LIB! The taxi was an actual taxi that honked at them!

Yeah, DVD likes everything so I was shocked that he doesn't like TCoR. Vin Diesel got super pissed in interviews that so many people were asking him for a proper sequel or trilogy for that movie. I don't think he fully understood how well the movie connected with the audience. I felt like him and the writer were too scared to take on the responsibility of how huge the production would be. What I mean is that movie was so well loved that a sequel would've been a much bigger budget, with bigger expectations. After seeing how the Matrix sequels were received, that was a valid fear.

There are people who hate Tom Cruise but I'm not one of them.
I thought the Cruise Reacher movies were OK but other people complained that he just wasn't Reacher.
Then - I saw what Alan Ritchson looked like - and I got it immediately.
The Reacher in the books - as I now understand it - is actually taller than Ritchson by a few inches. Cruise is short - not just compared to Ritchson - but compared to ... me.
Given the presence Reacher is supposed to have - I can see whey those other guys just could not take Cruise seriously as Reacher.
Rictchson is supportive of the Cruise version though. He was respectful of Cruise's talent and basically said that there was room for more than one interpretation.

@@BobSmith-dk8nw its fashionable to hate on him because religion, but he's always good at every role he does. The first Reacher film is really good, the second forgettable. The only prob I have with the guy doing lists, is the same with all of them, they basically like everything.

There is an animated movie that falls in-between a couple of the full length movies. It is quite good also.

It's going to sound weird, but Lars and the Real Girl is more appropriate for Valentine's than Past Lives, which is a lovely film, but in such a bittersweet way. Great list, man.

I just watched the Nicholas Cage film "Next" on prime. It's a good film. It doesn't let-up from start to finish. I was surprised at how fun and full of action it was.The film is based on a Philip K Dick book..

Does anyone remember a movie called 'The Panic in Needle Park' from 1971?
Notable only because it starred a young Al Pacino.
The first time I had heard of Pacino and I remember thinking this guy's going to go far.
It also had Raul Julia and Paul Sorvino and was a pretty good movie.

That looks like Takeshi Kitano in Broken Rage, he being of Battle Royale fame, among other movies. He's unusually successful as an actor, director, and comedian.

Hey I love your channel because I too have an eclectic taste in movies. I just wanted to give a recommendation for a movie on Prime right now. I’m a relatively new subscriber so forgive me if you’ve already recommended this one before but “Bad Lieutenant: Port of call New Orleans with Nicolas Cage is a supremely underrated movie that features some of Saint Nics Best acting outside of “Leaving Las Vegas”

Capote is a really important movie. it follows a real-life crime that Cap[ote fictionalised as " In Cold Blood", a new kind of fiction.
His involvement with the criminals, to get their story, led Truman Capote into ethically dubious waters.
