Looking forward to moving in this spring, I know I know everyone hates transplants, but I visited this beautiful city last year and fell in love ❤
I'd love to help you relocate!
Hi Will, I’ve been watching your videos for almost a year now and I just wanted to comment on here for the first time and say thank you for all the great information. Your videos are very thorough.
Thanks so much for the kind words! I’m glad you’ve found the videos helpful!
@gvlrealestate I second this comment. I am a lifetime Chicagoan. My wife and I vacationed to Nashville in 2023 and randomly chose Greenville to visit for two days also. We loved it so much that we went back a year later to get married there. Now we are planning to move there in two years. I have watched your videos since our first visit. I plan on reaching out when we are close to moving!
@ Congratulations! My husband and I visited Nashville last year and I’m chomping at the bit to get to Greenville this August for a visit!
@@jamiekimble Thank you! We fell in love with Greenville. We will be back in August for our first anniversary!
@@PBTucker288 Please do! Looking forward to helping y'all! :)
Thank you.
Thanks Will good info
You’re so welcome
Main Street looks really nice! How's the parking if you have to drive from the suburbs?
@@barneyfyfe8313 several parking garages. Richardson St garage is free on the weekends and a new parking garage is coming to the west end
Baahaahaa!!! Good luck! Believe the lies to suck you and your money down here! Go to Spartanburg and hang out there for awhile because that’s where you will end up spending most of your time. The infrastructure upgrades haven’t happened and I really doubt that they will happen for YEARS. But don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself.
I lived there for 5 years, 2 years ago.... it's a minidenver which is a mini California. Cost of living is EXPLODING! DO YOUR RESEARCH! Beautiful city tho!
So you moved here and are now attracting people here from other states? Are you sure these are the people who will continue to vote to keep it a super majority red state?
I find that people that choose to move here have common interests of those that already live here. Most of the time.
So it sounds like most of the cons are tied directly to the city's growth, but the city is aware of these and has plans to mitigate them over time or are already doing so soon. If the city wasn't addressing these problems I'd be concerned, but since that's not the case that sounds good to me!
The problem is too much building and not enough clean up repairing i.e. streets signs. Some street signs are so faded you cannot read them. The storm’s debris is EVERYWHERE.
These areas .. Greenville Spartanburg Greer Duncan Mauldin and ALL the surrounding area need TLC. Roads need repair so many terrible roads with so many patches it’s ridiculous. But go to the parks they are beautiful “cute” as Will describes. Hmmm priority isn’t the cities first interest. We need level headed good business people to care for the lands before more development.
I agree, once you go to the “cute” parks and downtown area a few times, you’ll be done. I used to live and work downtown at the hospital but I had to move because my rent skyrocketed. I had to buy a house out in Greer and was LUCKY to get one because now it is also unaffordable. I RARELY DRIVE all the way downtown anymore. So, now there’s NO beds in the hospitals, there’s stretchers packed in hallways, no new schools, roadways are awful, weather is unpredictable including hurricanes now. He would LOVE to SELL SELL SELL to you though! As for cost of living, REMEMBER, if you work here, you will earn what we earn so those wonderful prices coming in will even out and you’ll be poor and living in an outpost like the rest of us in a year or two. BUT you won’t listen to me anyway, you’ll come anyway just like everyone else and you’ll find out the hard way. Also remember when you sell and try to move back out, you’ll never get your money back. Good luck 👍
@@Lyndeejo88 thats a tradeoff you get with low property taxes, etc.
Which would be best for a successful 29 single girl (my daughter), loves to be out and about, music, and wants to meet a nice country boy with a great job?
Has she checked out downtown?
Yea you might want to get some help for all the homelessness downtown.
all the homeless? we don't have a large homeless population, especially given other metros near us.
There isn’t any compared to anywhere else it’s size, sounds like you should move
Are you available to do phone calls with potential buyers who are looking at possibly relocating to the GVL area, but currently living out of state? My home is on the market but is not under contract yet. I have several questions to ask although you have answered many through your youtube videos that I follow every week. I am looking at GVL, coastal SC, TN and AL with GVL currently being my #1 choioce at this time, but I have questions regarding property taxes as well as taxes on retirement income. I don't know at what point in my relocation process it is appropriate for me to contact you and would greatly appreciate you letting me know. Thank you so much.
I have folks contact me all of the time! Whether they are one month away or 1+ year away. I’d be happy to chat with you about GVL at a deeper level. Can you email me and we will book a call? wcsawyerjr@kw.com
There ARE taxes on retirement income. My mother is taxed and very badly! Don’t let them fool you about that.
@@mamaad123 i didn't say that there aren't taxes on retirement income. Idk where you got that from.
Absolutely. That's the first step in the process of relocating here- having a phone call with us to further explore if our area is a place you should seriously consider. Please email me to schedule a call- wcsawyerjr@kw.com
Was Greenville impacted by Hurricane Helene?
Yes, however things are back to normal and were about a week following the storm.
From Travelers Rest near Marietta our whole naborhood got blocked by 30+trees and power polls only one still standing. Its expensive. But as a 20yr its an awsome place to live.
Absolutely all the areas are still impacted. Trees are still laying road sides. A year ago it was completely different. Maybe I’m in a different location but I travel from Spartanburg to Simpsonville through Greenville quite often. Truth .. areas need lots of love!
Yes yes yes yes it was!!! And there’s STILL fallen trees everywhere that they promised to pick up but never did!
@ dang girl I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully they get yall back right soon ♥️
