Mashallah. This is the first plausible explanation I've seen on this portion of Ayah 9:30 of the Holy Qur'an. I was thinking about this for a long time. Good job on using the Holy Qur'an to explain the Holy Qur'an and afterwards looking into the historical and lexicographical analysis. That is the order in which these things have to be done. And nice job on also glossing over Ash-Shi'ra and explaining Kawkab in the Ayah mentioning Hazrat Ibrahim (as). It clarified how to look at Najm and Kawkab for me.
Wonderful you recognized 'Uzeyr as Osiris. I would share that I understood Aš-Ši'ra as Aššur, great Kingdom in Ancient age, to whom Allah was Rabb (Sustainer, Teacher). Christians perspective on 'Isaa (Jesus) overlaps with Horus and fight against Osiris and Horus could be the reason Allah mentioned 'Uzeyr and el-MeseeH in the same context.
The term 'Uzair stated in the Al Quran is not referred to prophet Uzair or Ezer! it refers to the Osiris the son of Horus whom also pronounced as Uzair in Arabic! the worshipping of Osiris is commonly practised among some secterian of Kabbalist Jews untill today......The all seing one eye! and there is a connection between Osiris and Jesus story of live as believed by Christians today! as both are falsely believed as son of god! not prophet Uzair/Ezer actually....that's why many Jews today deny that they say Ezra is son of god! it's not because the verse of Al Quran is wrong, but our understanding about the name 'Uzair' is wrong!
Syaikh Nabeel, there is an essay competition regarding this issue held by an Islamic educational institution in India. I got the invitation to participate in that competition. It is about the nature of the verse telling about Uzair. It is due June 30 2020. Let me know.
As a somali this is amazing to me , becouse to me allahu alam propaply Its not ausir or osiris but aw-sir. Aw means teacher/scholar in ancient egyptian anguage propaply aswell in somali language. Those languages are related, the quran says they took their teachers as gods. Its aw-seir not ausir or osieis. Aw ( teacher/scholar) -seir. In somalia we still use aw reffer to a sheik/scholar. But now a days most people just say sheik. In the past aw- qudub, aw same, aw hasan, aw said, for example existed all islamic teachers alhamdullilah, r. The ancient egyptians had aw-sir. No idea what he thought and why they started to worship him. Aw could mean father, ancestor, scholar. Teacher in somali and propaply aswel in ancient egyptian since those languages are related ,, the quran is on point by saying they worshiped their teachers and ancestor. Aw litterly is a scholar. Mostly its used in tribe names, people of aw- qudub are for example dissendants of th islamic scholat aw qudub . They are called reer aw qudub ( house aw qudub ). Aw qudub just like aw-sir but no one knows what aw-sir thought we know what jezus thought ,but we dont know alot of aw( scholar) - sir. Allahu alam
The problem is these are generic nouns, teacher, scholar etc . Allah mentioned a personality called Uzair so it has to be someone specific. Allahu A'lam.
Assalaamu Alaikum brother, excellent research, Alhamdulilloh! I am thinking that if Osiris is Uzair then there are some more things to discuss: According to the Egyptian mythology Osiris's wife was Isis and brother was Seth. Seth killed Osiris but later Isis brought Osiris back to life and she became pregnant by Osiris. Isis gave birth to Osiris's son Horus. Horus clashed with Seth to avenge his father. When the chance to kill Seth came to Isis, she felt sympathy for Seth and couldn't kill him. So, Horus got angry and beheaded Isis. Isis's head was replaced by cow's head. and we know from the Quran that the Bani Isrwaeel worshiped the Calf. Seth blinded Horus's left eye. Horus defeated Seth and married Isis and became his father Osiris. So, Al Quran: Surotutawbah: Ayah 30 could be referring to the Jew's alliance to the one eyed Maseehudajjal. Only Alloh knows the real meaning.
OSIRIS / Wsjr : Osiris is the Greek form of the name of the Egyptian god Wsjr, king of the afterworld. The Egyptian god Wsjr was often represented by a throne and an eye. Many Jews and Christians venerated him as the image of their god (Babylonian Talmud, Avodah Zarah ; Historia Augusta, Life of Saturninus 8). The Greek translation of the Bible was kept in his temple (Iohannes Chrysostomus, Patrologia Graeca 48, 851), and he was often identified with the biblical Joseph (Gn 41:34-57) because this Jewish hero supplied the Egyptians with corn during the seven years of famine (Mussies, 1979).
Yes and Osiris is Alkadir known as Enki , Murugan who's female version is Alluza the daughter of Allah . What you saying now . Your book will tell you that Sirius is the star of Allah who's female is Allat . Sirius is the star of Shiva , Somanath the Moon . That five pointed star on your flag is the star of Alkadir . It tells you he brought greenery and vegetation were he walked . !
Why would 7th century Jews worship Osiris an Egyptian pagan god? By the 7th century not even Egyptians worshipped Osiris anymore as Egypt had been Christianized. Osiris was a defunct god by the time of Islam. This explanation makes no sense.
This is why the verse uses the past tense verb Qaalat. This also is applicable to the belief that Jesus is the son of God which began prior to the Quranic revelation.
Such a small matter which is given much controversy....we need the knowledgeable humble Muslim to make the Jews understand Surah Ikhlas who has no hatred for the Jews in his heart
May Allah reward you for the effort brother. Yet please note this could have easily been a 10 minute video if you managed your time better and be to the point. Shorter more precise video equals more views, more outreach. Salaam
Abu Bakr Al-Jassaas (may Allah have mercy on him) said: As for the words of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala (interpretation of its meaning): "And the Jews said: 'Uzair is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Al-Masih is the son of Allah." [at-Taubah 9:30], it is said that what is meant is a group of Jews who believe in this. The evidence is that the Jews heard about it during the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and they did not deny it. This is like the opinion of the person who said that "the Khawarij believed in slaughtering and killing children", and what he meant was a group of them and not all of them. And this is like you saying, “Help the Tamim [a tribe] come to me”, and you mean some of them.” Ibn Abbas said: That was said by a group of Jews who came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and said that. They are: Salaam bin Masykam, Nu'man bin Auf, Shaas bin Qais, and Malik bin As-Saif. So Allah, may He be Most High, revealed this verse. Not one of the Jews says that now, as far as we know; even a group of them said that, and they became extinct. End quote from Ahkaam al-Qur'an (4/299)
But still, there is a problem. In the case of Christians, we can understand that at the time of the Prophet their core and main belief was to consider Jesus as the son of God and they accepted it but to consider Osiris as the son of God was never the core belief of Jews. Jews were monotheistic from the start. Why shun them when they themselves consider it to be heresy?
We are speaking about the jews that were under persecution from the egyptians who were indoctrinated with their beliefs. The ones who worshipped the golden calf. In fact idoltors made up the majority of those who accompanied Musa As in the exodus.
Have you encountered the work of Abdulla Galadari on this subject? He deploys an intertextual reading which has the passage read "& the Jews say Ezra is the Temple of God" check it out
I didn't understand this. I was waiting for the part where you might say the prophet Uzair (as) was brought back to life that is why the ancients started worshipping him saying he is the giver of life & death (a-outhubilla) that they somehow took the prophet as a god as they christians made Jesus as a god. So Uzair became Osiris and worshipped as an idol by the ancient Egyptians. but that part never came so I am very confused as to the connection between Osiris and prophet Uzair (as).
This is actually my old opinion and I released a new video with an interpretation that is more consistent with the Quran and history. Please watch this: th-cam.com/video/zeWDAhFa_Lo/w-d-xo.html

The Sept., as above noted renders “by Malachi” (Mal 1:1), “by the hand of his angel;” and this translation appears to have given rise to the idea that Malachi, as well as Haggai and John the Baptist, was an angel in human shape (comp. Mal 3:1; *In Judaism they calls angels the sons of God* ...
According to Reuven Firestone, there is evidence of groups of Jews venerating Ezra to an extent greater than mainstream Judaism, which fits with the interpretation that the verse merely speaks of a small group of Jews. The book 2 Esdras, a non-canonical book attributed to Babylonian captivity, associates a near-divine or angelic status to Ezra.[25] Mark Lidzbarski and Michael Lodahl have also hypothesized existence of an Arabian Jewish sect whose veneration of Ezra bordered on deification. Rabbi Allen Maller states that there is a hadith in sunan Tirmidhi which states that Jews worship their rabbis, because they accept what their rabbis say over the Word of God. He affirms this to be true because Orthodox Jews practice Judaism based on the rabbi's interpretation of the oral Torah. He also cites that ibn Abbas narrated that four Jews believed that Uzayr was the son of God. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzair
Another thing to note is that when ibrahim (as) is talking to his people and denouncing the moon, the sun and the star (kowkab) it can be translated to mean venus (the evening star) which the babylonians worshipped. So I think this new contemporary view of this verse is not correct. Allahu alam.
2:259. *Or just like the one who passed through a country that has fallen with its roofs. He exclaimed: “How will Lord Allah revive this country after its death?” Then Allah made him die for a hundred years, then He raised him into life again. Allah asked: “How long did you remain?” He replied: “I remained a day or part of a day”. Allah said: “Nay! You have remained for a hundred years, then you look at your food and drinks, they didn’t change! And you look at your donkey, We will make you a Sign for mankind, and you Look at the bones, how We assemble them, then We cover them with flesh”. When it was cleared to him, he said: “I know that indeed, Allah is Capable upon everything!”* The man referred to in this verse is Uzair who happened to travel on his donkey through a ruined region in Palestine. He exclaimed with his soul how the Lord will revive this region. Then Allah made him die for a hundred years and raised him into life. Then Lord asked: “How long did you remain?” He said: “I remained a day or part of a day”. Allah asked to observe his food and drinks which he used to carry. They didn’t show any sign of age. Then the Lord asked him to observe his donkey, the bones of which decayed within a hundred years. Then the Lord with a rhythmic wind assembled the bones, covered with fleshes and revived the donkey. By seeing this Uzair declared with the soul that Allah is capable to resurrect the dead and is Powerful to preserve food and drinks without decaying. Because of this event, the Jews considered Uzair as Lord’s son. It is told in verse 9: 30: “The Jews are saying: ‘Uzair is the son of Allah’ and the Christians are saying, ‘Jesus is the son of Allah’. That is what they say with their mouths, imitating the sayings of the former disbelievers. Lord has killed them! How perverted they are!” But today the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who are reading all these verses are having an evil concept about Lord Allah, so they will have evil consequences. Lord’s wrath and curse have happened upon them and Hell is kept prepared as their returning place. They are denoted as the worst creatures for being deaf and dumb towards Adhikr as told in verse 8: 22. It is told in verse 63: 4: “Lord has killed the hypocrites, how perverted they are?” Verses 2: 20, 106, 109, 148; 3: 165; 16: 77; 24: 45; 29: 20 and 35: 1 end as: “Lord is Capable upon everything”. The problem of the theory is, that the verse doesn't speak about worshipping, but about calling Esra the son of God, or about a dogma (qawl). This does not necessarily involve worshipping him (except by calling him a son of God), and vice versa.
This bluntly wrong. Osiris's name was never Osiris, but this is the Greek pronunciation from my ancestor's language. His name was wazir (وزير), which is also known in Arabic, which shares methodologically many words with ancient Egyptian. Why should then an Arabic Quran reinterpret a Greek pronunciation from Osiris to عزير
Arabs call him ازريس and minus the masculine ending it is ازر . Experts in egyptotology have given a number of pronunciations for osiris: Osiris ( Greek language, also Usiris; the Egyptian language name is variously transliterated Asar, Aser, Ausar, Wesir, or Ausare) is the Egyptian god of life, death, and fertility. The word وزير is used in the Quran in reference to Harun AS, and not osiris..
@@LearnQuranicArabic This is simply wrong. I have studies Egyptology as well as Islamic studies. And your logic is bending knowledge to fit an idea of yours. Muslim scholars relentlessly tell non scholars to listen to these that have studied Islam. But seemingly they discuss sciences they know nothing about. And Arabs have not called him Osiris early Islamic time because he was not known. Only after the deciphering the Egyptian Hieroglyphs in the 19th century and reading the scripts did Osiris become known to the Arabs through European scholarship.

@learnQuranicArabic With all due respect. It's clear that jews give أزير azr/ uzayr/azir the title as son of god. It was not osiris. Why I can say that it's because the next verse have explained it. English translation At Taubah 31. They (the jews and christians) take their rabbis and their monks to be theirs lords beside Allah, and (they also took as their lord) the masiha, son of maryam, while they were commanded to worship none but one God, none has the right to be worshipped but He. Praise and hallowed be He above what they associated. The story jews give ezra tiltle the son of god have similarity process with christian which admire Al masih, son of Maryam to be son of god. Uzair lived among the jews and taught them the torah of Moses and instructed them to worship only one God. When uzair died, the jews got deeply mourn then the jews exalted uzair above other sages and admire him as son of god.
I had a question regarding arabic grammar and I would really appreciate if you could help me, regarding name construction and tanween. In the Quran Allah says عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ with a tanween on Uzair, so it's pronounced Uzairun-nibnu. But in the sanad of aHadith the tanween is never written on names, example مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ for example, and pronounced Muhammedubnu instead of with a tanween, where it would be pronounced Muhammedun-nibnu. Even is sahih bukhari, a hadith says عُزَيْرَ ابْنَ اللَّهِ without tanween. What is the grammar rule? I can't find anything on this, barakallahu feekum.
عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ is a complete sentence and means: Uzair IS the son of Allah. Here ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ is the khabar عُزَيْرَ ابْنَ اللَّهِ .... is incomplete and means: Uzair the son of Allah ابْنَ اللَّهِ BUT here is a sifah I hope that is clear brother

LearnQuranicArabic I see your point but it needs to be backed up by some evidence that the Jews really did that. Isn't the Arabic word 'Qala' means 'Said" (past tense) rather than says (present tense)? This seems to be a very good research. Egyptian belief in Osiris, must have influenced ancient Jews. Quite reasonable! Also in the Egyptial Coptic language, Osiris is called Oseir. quite remarkable. (Unfortunately I have seen some people to be overly traditional that they say all truth is in the ancient tafsirs (like Ibn Abbas) and reject any interpretations arising out of modern historical evidences). This is Masha Allah, was quite informative!
Yes the past tense. Al Yahood and Al Nasaara are generic nouns. The Quran does not only speak of Jews and Christians in 7th century Arabia but it speaks about them historically in the past and even in the future. The only time I am aware of in the Quran where Allah SWT speaks of every single person from Ahlul Kitaab without exception is in regards to them believing in Isa AS as a Prophet of Allah prior to his death.
@Abdul-Haqq You are definitely mistaken in what you have said. Let us first understand that even the Prophet SAW didn't know if Uzair was a Prophet or not as narrated in Sunan Abu Dawood. Secondly you talk about tafsir of ibn kathir, there are hundreds of tafsirs out there and vast opinions on this point so if one accepts one tafsir he rejects the others. Osiris = Uzair (Usir) It makes more sense. Definitely not Ezra. Many scholars could not make the link between Uzair = Ezra. And the Yahud never claimed to have worship Ezra. Alhamdulillah. Allah knows best.
Excellent analysis my brother and it may be a valid and logical conclusion! I've stumbled on a similar idea when reading the translation by Shabir Ahmed: 9:30 The Jews say, “Uzayr (Osiris) is God’s son,” while the Christians say, “The Messiah is God’s son.” They only utter baseless themes with their mouths, following the assertions made in earlier times by people who denied the truth. God condemns them. They are deluded. Note 14 Many Jews in the Arabian Peninsula used to believe that Osiris, the Egyptian idol, was God’s Son while others thought of Ezra, who restored the Torah after it had been lost in the Babylonian Exile, as God’s Son. Uzayr applies to Ezra as well as Osiris.

Nabeel Alkhalidy, if any person says that Muhammad is the Son of God, *is that person a Muslim* ? You would refer to the Islamic holy texts to declare that this person is NOT a Muslim --- am I correct? You would say that this person is not a Muslim because he does not believe the Quran. So *why do you refrain from considering what the Jewish holy texts say* about whether the god of the universe has a son? From the Jewish holy text Exodus Rabbah 29 we read about God: "I am the first, I have no father; I am the last, I have no brother. Beside Me there is no God; I HAVE NO SON [emphasis added]." Consequently, *anyone who refuses to believe the Jewish Holy Texts by saying the god of the universe has a son IS NOT A JEW!* Muhammad did not know about Jewish Scripture. Because Muhammad did not know, the god of Muhammad's imagination *also did not know.*
@@LearnQuranicArabic If a person says, "Muhammad is the son of God," is that person a Muslim? Is this person denying what is written in Islamic holy scripture, the Quran? Yes or No? What did Muhammad say in Quran 9:30? He said, "the JEWS say that Ezra is the Son of God..." He did NOT say "Israelites." He said "Jews." Why in creating this video did you refuse to consult the Jewish holy scriptures? Is it not eminently reasonable to find out what appears in them regarding whether the Jews believe that their god has a son? Above, I mention scripture from the Jewish holy text Exodus Rabbah ,indicating that to Jews, God has no son. In addition, let me refer you to the Old Testament verse, Isaiah 43:11: "I, am the LORD, and there is no Savior but Me." This suggests that the god of the Jews has no son to save the Jews, does it not?

There is no way that the Arabic name ʻUzayr could be connected with the Egyptian wsjr. The usual identification of ʻUzayr with Ezra (Hebrew ʻEzrā) cannot be reconciled with the Qur’anic statement that the Jews call ʻUzayr the son of God. A more plausible hypothesis is that ʻUzayr is the giant ʻAzazīl (ʻAzaʼīl etc.), whom Jewish tradition identifies as one of the בְּנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים in Gen. 6,1-2. cf. Paul Casanova, ‘Idrîs et ʻOuzaïr’, Journal asiatique, ccv (1924) pp. 356-360.
Jews have always abandoned Islam and followed false idols and committed excesses. It is recorded in the Jewish Bible extensively. It shouldn't be a surprise if they worshipped whoever Uzair is.
you could not demonstrate how the Jews believed in Ezra being the son of God. You only showed what the Egyptians believed and you ended the Stela of Merneptah slide by saying "we know the jews believed that", without demonstrating how. Sir I would kindly request you to read 'A History of the Jews of Arabia: From Ancient Times to Their Eclipse Under Islam' by Gordon Darnell Newby, pages 59-61. I do admit you made one good point of how the Quran talks about these words being on their mouths. Apart from that, you could not make a case for how the Jews worshipped Osiris or weather these things have been documented or not.
The Quran speaks of Al-Samari who had deep knowledge of Egyptian mythology/ rituals and at the same time was so influential amongst Bani Israel that he misguided them to create a golden calf and worship it. It is not far-fetched to believe that they knew who the main Egyptian deities were. So Egyptians believed that Osiris was the son of their main god and some jews simply imitated this belief.
Yes, he was never known as son of God in judaism. I asked in the last 4 years Rabbis which lot of knowledge. Everybody said this is a false information never in no Script you can see this. Only as Prophet.
All Banu Israel are sons of God...dont confuse yourself...its in the Old Testament...you dont need to rewrite anything..this confusion is only in Islamic community

As-salamu alaykum I’ve got one more question relating to this: Why does this Hadith say jews worship Ezra, when they worship 1 God. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them, ‘Who do you use to worship?’ They will say, ‘We used to worship Ezra, the son of Allah.’ Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Hadith Number 105.
There is only 2 religion islam and those who say Allah has begotten a son..thus when comes the dijjal/"anti crist" everyone has only 2 choices son of Allah or Islam.
the arab diety ozza عزي is indeed isis in greek eza in egyptian ramsis the 2 would never have been mosis pharo 🤬🤬 osiris to ancients is the god who gives any king the ligitimacy to rule
If the Jews referred to Osirus being the son of God, then the verse would only be correct if the verse read that the Jews said that the Egyptians said that Osirus is the son of God, because the Jews never said that anyone was a son of God. Either way the verse is still false, which makes this interpretation only a red herring argument. The Jews made the calf before they received the 10 commandments, so again a logically false argument. And by the time of Mohammed no Jews is know who claimed that the Ezra or Osirus or anyone else is the son of God. Clearly Mohammed got this verse wrong.
The verse says "they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say....." This includes the Egyptians. Some of the jews, despite receiving the revelation had idolatrous beliefs. A deity they revered was the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor associated with Isis ( the sister and wife of Osiris). This is why they were commanded to slaughter a female cow that had the same characteristics as their deity, which they almost did not do.

There they burned incense on all the high places, like the nations whom the LORD had carried away before them; and they did wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger, for they served idols, of which the LORD had said to them, “You shall not do this thing.” Yet the LORD testified against Israel and against Judah, by all of His prophets, every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.” Nevertheless they would not hear, but stiffened their necks, like the necks of their fathers, who did not believe in the LORD their God. And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed idols, became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them that they should not do like them. So they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, made for themselves a molded image and two calves, made a wooden image and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

Jajakallahu khairon! Thank you Brother for your great explanation. Allah is All knowing & Almighty.
Assalaamu Alaikum brother, excellent research, Alhamdulilloh!
I am thinking that if Osiris is Uzair then there are some more things to discuss:
According to the Egyptian mythology Osiris's wife was Isis and brother was Seth.
Interesting insight. Allahu A'lam
Isis was also Seth's and osiris sister and later become her sons wife. How can someone like osiris be a prophet for Islam and spoken highly about?
@@GULZAARB4U mythology is not true facts. Bible says Noah slept with his daughters. We don't believe such lies about prophets.
You are so right. This is from Wikipedia "Osiris was at times considered the eldest son of the earth god Geb"
Jazhakallahu Khair. May Allah SWT increase your knowledge and benefit us more from that.

Another thing to note is that when ibrahim (as) is talking to his people and denouncing the moon, the sun and the star (kowkab) it can be translated to mean venus (the evening star) which the babylonians worshipped. So I think this new contemporary view of this verse is not correct. Allahu alam.
That is METATRON
When it was cleared to him, he said: “I know that indeed, Allah is Capable upon everything!”*
The man referred to in this verse is Uzair who happened to travel on his donkey through a ruined region in Palestine. He exclaimed with his soul how the Lord will
revive this region.
How perverted they are!”
But today the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who are reading all these verses are having an evil concept about Lord Allah, so they will have evil consequences. See explanation 2: 164; 9: 30 and 18: 19.

The Targum of Jonathan ben-Uzziel, on the words “by the hand of Malachi” (1:1), gives the gloss “whose name is called Ezra the scribe.” With equal probability Malachi has been identified with Mordecai, Nehemiah, and Zerubbabel. The Sept., as above noted renders “by Malachi” (Mal 1:1), “by the hand of his angel;” and this translation appears to have given rise to the idea that Malachi, as well as Haggai and John the Baptist, was an angel in human shape (comp. The problem of the theory is, that the verse doesn't speak about worshipping, but about calling Esra the son of God, or about a dogma (qawl). This does not necessarily involve worshipping him (except by calling him a son of God), and vice versa.
This ayah explains the development of the belief of Jesus being the Son of God. Where is originated from. please watch the lesson carefully.
Experts in egyptotology have given a number of pronunciations for osiris:
Osiris ( Greek language, also Usiris; the Egyptian language name is variously transliterated Asar, Aser, Ausar, Wesir, or Ausare) is the Egyptian god of life, death, and fertility.
The word وزير is used in the Quran in reference to Harun AS, and not osiris..
@@LearnQuranicArabic
This is simply wrong. I have studies Egyptology as well as Islamic studies. And your logic is bending knowledge to fit an idea of yours. If so, the داود would be in the Koran ديفيد . It is absolutely contrary to Quranic language to take Greek word and arabise them if these word have a semitic origin. Please!
And by the way.
@@sprachenwelt I never said the Quran takes greek words and arabises them!
The name in Egyptian has been transliterated in a number of ways : Asar, Aser, Ausar, Wesir, Ausare . I said that Uzair is taken from the Egyptian not the greek.

Jews would categorically mock anyone who say that Ezra was called the son of God. Osiris is the best explanation for Uzair. Infact, in the Egyptial hieroglyphics, the name of Osiris is wsjr pronounced probably as Usair itself.

Why I can say that it's because the next verse have explained it.

You are wrong.

عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ
is a complete sentence and means:
Uzair IS the son of Allah. Here ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ is the khabar
عُزَيْرَ ابْنَ اللَّهِ

From the Jewish holy text Exodus Rabbah 29 we read about God: "I am the first, I have no father; I am the last, I have no brother. Beside Me there is no God; I HAVE NO SON [emphasis added]." Consequently, *anyone who refuses to believe the Jewish Holy Texts by saying the god of the universe has a son IS NOT A JEW!* Muhammad did not know about Jewish Scripture.
I agree, This is my old opinion that I shared on this channel some 5 years ago. Have you watched my updated lesson:

As-salamu alaykum
I’ve got one more question relating to this:
Why does this Hadith say jews worship Ezra, when they worship 1 God.
Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them, ‘Who do you use to worship?’ They will say, ‘We used to worship Ezra, the son of Allah.’
Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Hadith Number 105.
I would suggest you watch the video and the answer will be there .
There is only 2 religion islam and those who say Allah has begotten a son..thus when comes the dijjal/"anti crist" everyone has only 2 choices son of Allah or Islam.
the arab diety ozza عزي

eza in egyptian
ramsis the 2 would never have been mosis pharo 🤬🤬
osiris to ancients is the god who gives any king the ligitimacy to rule
@@LearnQuranicArabic I assume you are quoting the Quran. As we all know of the many mistakes and contradictions in the Quran, you would have to provide a serious source for your claim.
@@johnzuma4688 Please stick to the topic of the Video. I believe the Quran is the word of God with no inconsistencies or contradictions, unlike the Bible.
@@LearnQuranicArabic I believe the Bible is the word of God with no inconsistencies or contradictions in what God teaches, unlike the Quran that is only an invention of Mohammed. And as we can buy more than 30 different Arabic Qurans today we have the proof that the Quran has been corrupted. And we know that the Quran is full of mistakes and contradictions. What scripture do you follow as guidance? Quran the only guidance we have in our life
go watch the interview Ask in isreal some jewish said metaphorically they blieve son ...
It's speaking about the Jews that existed in the past who worshipped the Egyptian deities who were indoctrinated with the religion of their oppressors.
No brother, the book is wrong. The Quran got it wrong. Accept this for what it is. Talking in circles doesn’t make it any more true. Please accept Jesus Christ as the One True God. God bless
The quran claims to be a clear book. Why do you need such a long winded, winding explanation for this ?
The Quranic language is very clear. If you have any specific comments regarding the lesson please comment.
osiris will be even more problematic jews are monotheistic they reject pagan gods like osiris
They worshipped the Golden calf and had deep knowledge of the Egyptian deities from their time in Egypt.
@@LearnQuranicArabic true but they paid for it moses punished them to death, but jews calling osiris son of god (Allah) never heard of it
@@kepitingrebus1890 The Israelites knew Egyptian mythology very well. The golden calf is based on the deity Hathor who had very strong connects to isis and osiris.
@@LearnQuranicArabic are they call those idols as son of Allah/Ben Elohim?
@@kepitingrebus1890 Egyptians did consider him the son of Ra ( the deity who created the universe) and some of the jews were indoctrinated and imitated these beliefs.
*Muhammad possibly met a few people who told him, "Ezra is the Son of God," or maybe instead Muhammad decided simply to make up nonsense when he told his followers Quran 9:30. In any case, Muhammad did NOT consult Jewish scripture. To understand what Muslims think, we consult islamic scripture, do we not? So to understand what Jews think, we need to consult Jewish scripture. In the Old Testament, in the 7th Chapter of Ezra, it is written that Ezra is the SON OF SERAIAH, NOT GOD. Poor Muhammad did not know this, and therefore he made a mistake in creating Quran 9:30.
I find it strange that you didn't bother to listen to the lesson before commenting. I don't believe Uzair is Ezra but Osiris (Ausar in Egyptian).
@@LearnQuranicArabic That is even WORSE, since OSIRIS is an Egyptian god NOT A JEWISH PERSON. Muhammad simply made up nonsense. But you will go on believing everything Muhammad tells you to believe, no matter how dumb it is. In your mind, Muhammad always spoke the truth, right? When someone asks you what the followers of Muhammad think, you point to the holy scripture of these followers, the Quran. So show us ANYWHERE in the holy scripture of the Jews that declares that OSIRIS is the Son of GOD -- can you do that?

@@Herman47 2 kings 17:7-18
For so it was that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and they had feared other gods, and had walked in the statutes of the nations whom the LORD had cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. Also the children of Israel secretly did against the LORD their God things that were not right, and they built for themselves high places in all their cities, from watchtower to fortified city. They set up for themselves sacred pillars and wooden images on every high hill and under every green tree. And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone.
don't make it complicated ! Ozar is not Ezra nor Osiris it is Aziz (Means praised one also Mohammed) look at the Arabic word عزیز
wouldn't this be tahreef i.e. changing the Quran ? Can you show which person says that azeez is correct and not uzayr ?
@@LearnQuranicArabic the entire Quran is Tahreef, they changed it the way they wanted to be. the early manuscript was written without dots and fatha, kasra and so on. those who compiled the Quran from early Christian literature and testaments made it this way. The Quran does NOT say "Ezra". That is fake. It says "Uzair". But Jews don't even know who anyone named "Uzair" is. We call Jesus the Son of God, it is true, everyone knows that, but Jews do NOT call anyone named Uzair the "Son of Allah". They simply don't. It is a mistake in the Quran.
They lived in Egypt under the Pharaohs rule and certainly knew who Usair ( Osiris) was because they were indoctrinated with Egyptian beliefs and mythology. Please watch the video to understand what I mean.
I would say the Quran is absolutely correct.
You would say that, @@LearnQuranicArabic. But it is not true. I have many Jewish friends and NONE of them say that. On the other hand, we Christians DO say Jesus is the Son of God. At least the verse is 1/2 correct.
@@bowrudder899 so are you denying that Jews in the past were affected by Egyptians beliefs. In the Quran, it speaks of Jews worshipping Egyptian gods and idolatry even during the time of Prophet Musa AS . What Allah is speaking of are historical facts and how the believe developed. The belief in jesus AS as the son of God did not come out of a vacuum. There are no Jews today who worship the golden calf today BUT that is not proof that it did not happen. Can you prove that all Jews were monotheists throughout history and never had such misguided beliefs ?
@@LearnQuranicArabic The Quran says Jews DO that. Virtually every translation I have ever seen gives the verb in the PRESENT TENSE. And Quran 9:30 is given as the RATIONALE for Quran 9:29. So if verse 30 doesn't apply today, then neither does verse 29.

The Targum of Jonathan ben-Uzziel, on the words “by the hand of Malachi” (1:1), gives the gloss “whose name is called Ezra the scribe.” With equal probability Malachi has been identified with Mordecai, Nehemiah, and Zerubbabel. The Sept., as above noted renders “by Malachi” (Mal 1:1), “by the hand of his angel;” and this translation appears to have given rise to the idea that Malachi, as well as Haggai and John the Baptist, was an angel in human shape (comp. sorry but we jews dont have any Uzair and to say God has a son is Biggest Shirk in Judaism.
The Quran explains that they commited shirk and even Jews acknowledge the incident of the golden calf. Then comes the Roman influence on Jews who ruled over them. Some Jews then took up their beliefs . I advise you to listen the lesson to understand the development of this belief
@@LearnQuranicArabic The problem is, the statement is a general assertion made with another general assertion
Now, for the Christians, the statement is correct. Every Christiaan says Jesus is God. Only a few who other Christians do not even agree to be Christians
But the generality of Jews never considered any person to be the son of God. So the general statement is wrong. Why did Allah/Quran not qualify it.
My problem is Islamic scholars always insist on strictest of interpretation. As someone who has watched Islamic criticisms of Christian scholarship, this with due respect, is a childish attempt at an explanation.
