What a Performer! I seen him in Cuyahoga Hts., ( Roger Martins' Boot Scootin' Saloon ) in 92, It was " Outstanding ". We Miss You My Friend. Always Will.
yes thank you Marianne for posting Waylon & Jessi singing Storms never last most beautiful love song being sung by 2 people in love. Love looking at people so in love. RIP Waylon & God Bless you Jessi & Shooter 6-26-20
@@mommenon1Thanks for posting this video. I always loved Jessi and Waylon singing this great song of marriage. My wife, Mary Ann, has stayed with me for 35 years. I thank the Lord she and Jessi with Waylon loved us in spite of our "wicked ass" ways. I'm reading Jessi Colter's book "The Outlaw and The Lady" and am enjoying it a lot. Canadians love Waylon's music also, especially with Jessi . . .😉 (or Willie). I can faintly hear Waylon and the man in black singing together in heaven.
Marianne, Thank you for the memories! I have never seen this before now, but I NEVER get tired of seeing Waylon and Jessi perform! It is so endearing how they look at each other, and the other ways they display their obvious love for each other. "Storms Never Last" is my favorite of their duets. Thanks again!
Those soft sad songs….one of them was “I’m not Lisa” speaking of one of Waylons former wives…Barbara, Lisa being Barbara and Julie being Jessi. These two are just so real…I love them. I could name a few other soft sad songs that were hits for her.
Waylon is lip-syncing here on the solo. He looks awful. Scrawny and distressed. Poor guy. This must have been right before he finally gave up the coke and pills. Or just after? Tommy Hunter was Sasquatch and a very unnerving (Canadian) presence. He looks like he could eat Waylon like fried chicken. No, sorry, never could abide Tommy Hunter, but respect his contributions to Canadian country music. Jessi and Waylon, however, were really singing their duet of Jessi’s song and they sounded wonderful, somehow. This must have been a really rough time in their journey. I don’t believe Waylon was ever entirely sober after 1984, when the supposed “sobriety epiphany” occurred. I think he got a better handle on it, progressively, for the next fifteen years, but he was not healthy. His death in 2002 was a shocking loss for music, country and otherwise. Lost way too soon.

Who's Tommy Hunter?
Canadian country singer who had a show up- there for years.

This is interesting what makes you doubt he achieved sobriety? I agree he doesn't look great especially next to me Tommy Hunter.
He's 50 years old here. At the time I thought that was old as dirt (I was 14, now I'm 50). He does look rough, but he earned it.
