The job market is slow-moving right now. I have a friend with CSC certification working full-time at CIBC, but he's facing challenges with promotions or switching to another job, which seems odd. My approach is straightforward: keep applying, identify areas for improvement, and make necessary changes. If you put in 100% effort, you'll eventually succeed.
@@Nilakshaaaa thanks for your reply and secondly I wanted to know that what are the must have certifications for a new immigrant to get a banking job in Canada.?
Varun, Certifications are important for promotions in banking, but when I started at RBC in 2021, I didn't have any. Instead, I focused on gaining experience, improving my skills, and doing my job well, which helped me grow in the company.
Hi, Thankyou for your guidance and sharing information. I am currently pursuing IFC course. Do you think this can help me to get a bank job? My friends have been referring me to banks but I am always rejected I don’t understand why

hey so I have seen banks also hire Bilingual but dont know for which post. Do you about this and what other relevant skills can one learn to get hired with ease?? Thank You
Banks often hire bilingual candidates for various roles, especially customer-facing positions like customer service representatives, tellers so it depends in which position you are going for, Like here at RBC they have banking advisor, cards advisor, Having proficiency in another language is always advantageous.
According to today's competition, is it still possible to get into bank jobs without prior experience(except customer service that I have) or a bachelor's degree in a related field. I would be very grateful to you if you answered this question.
Harjot, Absolutely, it's still possible to get a job in a bank even if you don't have experience in finance or a degree in that field. Many banks have programs for beginners or people with different backgrounds. Your experience in customer service is valuable because it shows you're good at communicating and working with people, which are important in banking. Just focus on showing your skills and willingness to learn, and keep an eye out for opportunities. Networking and improving your skills can also help a lot.

Hi, i am an undergraduate and will be finishing my studies shortly. I am keen gto get a job in banking sector and need some help in building my response. Would love to hear back from you.
Samridhi as you are about to finish your studies so start looking for a job in banking sector, focus on a few key areas. Build a strong resume that highlights your education, relevant experiences, skills like financial analysis and customer service, and any certifications you have. Write a cover letter that shows your interest in the bank and how your background fits their needs. Networking is important-use LinkedIn to connect with people in the industry and go to career fairs. For interviews, research the bank, practice common questions, and use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers. Improve your skills with relevant courses and certifications, and apply to many positions to increase your chances of getting hired. This approach will help you stand out to potential employers.
Thank you for helping us. I already sent a LinkedIn request plus an Instagram message for my doubts. I was fed up with applying for several jobs but after watching your video, I feel motivated again. Be my mentor.
