There are cons as wel....THey have mandatory pension plans and often union dues so net pay is greatly reduced. If these are good things for you then it is good but should keep in mind that if your salary is 100k you will likely only have about 50k to work with after tax, pension, benefits, and union dues are taken off....

Canada me bank job kaisa hai.
Working for government is no guarantee for PR. One guy has low 400 CRS score and had to move to another province for PNP.
Working anywhere for that matter is no guarantee for PR if the score is so low. If you are 510s+ then you have a chance even if you are in govt.

100k salary 31% net deduction on tax cpp EI then govt jobs have 1.25% union dues, 9.1% Pension, 2-6% Health Insurance you are left with 50-55% salary. Its not bad as CPP and Pension is taken care. Its also underwhelming to get 55k after 100k salary. Its nothing to be ungrateful of but also hurts alot to pay alot in deductions.

@@jaspreetsingh3364 This happens when govt tries to insure everything like CPP for peoples retirement, EI for unemployment, Pension because CPP is not enough, Union dues because salary increase sucks, health insurance because health care dont cover everything and tax because they have to fund all operations and programs etc.
@@89ALEE Canada is so expensive man ... I hate 2 things about one is tax and 2nd is car insurance....I mean like in most cases the insurance is very similar to the monthly installment we pay for the car
