Hey !! most students start working as CSR (Customer service reps) in the bank as part time. For that, you dont need to do these courses. However, if you want to make career in a bank, you will have to passes these exams. So to keep it short, you dont need to do it now from India. You just need to focus on your studies and look for part time job in a bank instead of stores or restaurants. Hope I was able to answer :-) take care

Moreover due to covid situation (and most flights suspended) most companies ask for your residence where you live currently. Hence in my view it wont be of much help but I am purely talking from what I think. I am no expert! :-) 2. French is a great asset to have if you are coming towards Quebec / Montreal (even Ottawa) but in other places such as BC or Alberta (where I am right now), its good to have but doesnt help much in terms of jobs because most people speak English. Infact, you will be surprised to know that there is a big Chinese and Indian population here hence Cantonese / Mandarin / Punjabi can be a bigger asset. So to answer your question, it depends on the geography. Again, I am talking on the basis of the JDs and people I meet or apply for job. Hope that answers your question!! Go for a part time position as CSR first because your banking experience in India won't be considered for hierarchy here. You need to pass certification and until that time you need to start somewhere... And trust me it's very rare for a bank to do open-house( as in external candidates meet and greet) unless new branches open, everything gets internally done.

Thanks for your comment. Well, each individual is different. I can say that I passed with self study. 1280 is a big amount and clearing the exam is only worth it if you are really eager to work in banking sector in Canada. Needless to say, you should have a work permit or PR. All the best !
Oh absolutely ! CPA for long term is obviously the better option!! CSC or IFSC is simpler and not stringent. It isn't time consuming too. So if you have time and bigger ambitions, go for CPA!

Yes you can...go to any bank of Montreal branch ask for unpaid internship...they will hire you eventually.

Certifications/Licenses obtained in other countries are invalid in Canada. We have to take these exams from Canadian institutions.

Oh absolutely ! CPA for long term is obviously the better option!! CSC or IFSC is simpler and not stringent. It isn't time consuming too. So if you have time and bigger ambitions, go for CPA!
