    FAQ:
    Can you do this course from India?
    We would say don't jump the gun yet. For these courses registration is open worldwide. But we would suggest registering only after you have your COPR, Study Visa, or any other Visa that legally entitles you to work in Canada in your hand. Because these courses are expensive and what if you register for the exam and other processes are delayed. Mind it, for CSI it costs more to give the exam at a location outside Canada and for most of their exams you have to appear for the test within 6 months to 1 year of registration. The benefit of these courses is the most when you are physically present in Canada.
    What you could do is, once you get your Visa/COPR, you could register and start studying and appear for the exam when you arrive in Canada. These courses take 2-4 months of preparation.The information in the video is to provide you basic knowledge about the banking industry before you arrive, and to give you a little bit of head start.
    Also, refer to the official websites for detailed information.

      Good information and well explained video. Could you also provide some insight about financial analyst role and related certification? What are your views about CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) designation for Investment/Finance roles. Would really appreciate if you could share your knowledge regarding this area. I am looking for information regarding portfolio management, research analyst, credit analyst, investment banking, valuation analyst, investment analyst roles and certification which can get into these roles. Thanks in Advance.

    Bank job that title is bit confusing- i guess you guys need to elaborate what bank you guys are referring to( retail, business, corporate, private, investment banking etc) . If I am not wrong with CSC or CIFC, you wont get job in financial market/investment banking( M&A, brokerage sales, origination & syndication, structuring, institutional sales, investment research etc) - here in the UK a retail bank admin get around 20k GBP(40k CAD) - if that is investment bank then is around 200k to 500k+ (500K CAD TO 1MILLION CAD) - both are bank job - different type though. Overall you guys are doing a great job with your videos on canada lifestyle for new immigrant- keep rocking guys!

    • @InTheNorthCanada
      @InTheNorthCanada  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks raj! Yes we understand Bank Job is quite a broad term. But the video was primarily focused towards CIFC and CSC. And for most of the banking roles, be it in retail or not, CSC is the basic certification that is either required or atleast advisable to understand the Canadian Financial Industry in general. 🙂👍🏼

    • @InTheNorthCanada
      @InTheNorthCanada  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even for Tanu she does not work in branch banking at all. Its more of an Investment Rep role for which again CSC was the basic requirement apart from other specific certifications that would be required in the course of time for further progressions.

      CSC and CIFC are the most basic courses that one must do if they want to venture into banking in Canda be it front or back. These courses provide the basic and some advanced knowledge of the banking system in Canada. Check the career map below to learn further about the courses you may want to do for various roles within the financial sector:

      Well logically thinking, when will an employer be interested in hiring someone from outside of Canada? When the employer is interested in the work experience of the candidate and they cannot find such an experienced candidate here, cz of reasons explained in this video - th-cam.com/video/dutKayC4Hmc/w-d-xo.html.
      So it makes more sense to apply for jobs in the roles where one has enough experience. If you apply for roles where you don't even have experience, there are less chances an employer will look at your profile.

      Getting a job depends more on your relevant experience and skills rather than the university from where you did the course. Atleast that's true for Canada.
      But if you are asking about getting a job directly from outside of canada, then regardless from you have done the graduation, it is very very difficult.

      Praveen ji ek namaste waala emoticon bhi kaafi tha. Also kon sa technical sahi hoga se aapka matlab ye hai ki konsa technical course sahi hoga? Praveen ji Canada PR kisi technical course ke basis pe nahi milta. Overall profile ke basis pe milta hai. Kum padhe logon ke liye bhi ek stream hoti hai jise kehte hain Federal Skilled Trade. Uske through aaya ja sakta hai. Pas uske liye aapko kisi consultant se baat karni padegi

    I'm working in govt bank here in India, all I want to know is it less stressful there or same like here in India, if NO then will my banking experience help me to get a job there

      We do have targets here as well but still it's not as salesy as it is in India. Yes prior banking experience is good to have but still you would need to one or the other certification once you come here to gain knowledge of the canadian financial products and industry

      So companies including banks need to get a LMIA (kind of a permit) for a job position from the government if they want to hire somebody (who is not a Canadian citizen, PR or Work Visa holder) directly from outside of Canada. And this permit is given on the basis that the Co. is not able to find a fit person for the role even after looking for a while among the existing pool of job seekers in Canada. Hence, it must be a very unique experience they must be looking for.
      So, if the Co. doesn't have a LMIA for the role to apply, they won't consider your application, even when you might have banking exp in UK. Meanwhile, applying for PR through Express Entry or PNP could be a solution for you. Once you have that status you are legally eligible to work in Canada n then they will consider your Resume.
