FAQ: Can you do this course from India? We would say don't jump the gun yet. For these courses registration is open worldwide. But we would suggest registering only after you have your COPR, Study Visa, or any other Visa that legally entitles you to work in Canada in your hand. Because these courses are expensive and what if you register for the exam and other processes are delayed. Mind it, for CSI it costs more to give the exam at a location outside Canada and for most of their exams you have to appear for the test within 6 months to 1 year of registration. The benefit of these courses is the most when you are physically present in Canada. What you could do is, once you get your Visa/COPR, you could register and start studying and appear for the exam when you arrive in Canada. These courses take 2-4 months of preparation. The information in the video is to provide you basic knowledge about the banking industry before you arrive, and to give you a little bit of head start. Also, refer to the official websites for detailed information.
Good information and well explained video. Could you also provide some insight about financial analyst role and related certification? What are your views about CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) designation for Investment/Finance roles. Would really appreciate if you could share your knowledge regarding this area. I am looking for information regarding portfolio management, research analyst, credit analyst, investment banking, valuation analyst, investment analyst roles and certification which can get into these roles. Thanks in Advance.
If I am coming to Canada on PR Visa in Feb 2023 then what should I do wheather should prepare and appear from India or Should i appear after Coming there . Kindly guide for this.
Glad I watch your video, I have done my Mba in india, but unable to get a PR as my scores are not upto the mark, so planning to come as a student.(have experience of 5 bank in banking) Please guide
Bank job that title is bit confusing- i guess you guys need to elaborate what bank you guys are referring to( retail, business, corporate, private, investment banking etc) . If I am not wrong with CSC or CIFC, you wont get job in financial market/investment banking( M&A, brokerage sales, origination & syndication, structuring, institutional sales, investment research etc) - here in the UK a retail bank admin get around 20k GBP(40k CAD) - if that is investment bank then is around 200k to 500k+ (500K CAD TO 1MILLION CAD) - both are bank job - different type though. Overall you guys are doing a great job with your videos on canada lifestyle for new immigrant- keep rocking guys!
Thanks raj! Yes we understand Bank Job is quite a broad term. But the video was primarily focused towards CIFC and CSC. And for most of the banking roles, be it in retail or not, CSC is the basic certification that is either required or atleast advisable to understand the Canadian Financial Industry in general. 🙂👍🏼
Even for Tanu she does not work in branch banking at all. Its more of an Investment Rep role for which again CSC was the basic requirement apart from other specific certifications that would be required in the course of time for further progressions.

Thankyou soo much fr such informative vlog! In July , i am Coming to Canada as a student. Earlier I used to work as a relationship manager in HDFC bank, New Delhi! Can I get any entry level job in banking sector in any of the town in Ontario? I have total 9months of experience in banking!
Hi Nishant & Tanu its very informative video. Being from different field i still watched full video , u have that hold on your viewers 🤣. I would be glad if you could make similar video for people trying to get job in HR .
Hello! May I ask if there a big chance that Canada will hire me as a financial sales rep? I currently have PR application and the Immigration Firm will create my profile for the job bank. But I saw a video that Canadian surely wants to work in the bank as well and its hard for the immigrant to have a good position in the banking industry. I have 8 years experience as a bank officer in my country and I am willing to take the online course for CSC once my PR approved and more courses to have better credentials. Hoping for your kind response and stay safe

Hii.. I am a international student in Canada. I am studying in Business Diploma. I want to become a bank employee. Can you advice me that rather than my course which study I have to do. I will have to give only interview or there is any other exam????????????
Right now I am doing my graduation in BA hons in psychology from India and after graduation I want to get into bank field in Canada...so my question is am I eligible for CIFC course?
Hi Will doing BCO Branch Compliance Officer certification will be any helpful and how difficult it is. I have Corp and did soft landing this month. Now, I am back in India to continue my banking job untill I get any Job in Canada.
Thanks for mentioning main points to apply for job in bank, as i am from banking background it is really good information to know, i just have one question as you are HR, do Company allow people for interview if they are on visit visa. Is it true that visit visa can be converted to work permit in 1 day.
So mostly when you apply for any job, the first question the Recruiter asks is are you legally eligible to work in Canada. But if you are on just a visitor/tourist visa, we don't think that you can say YES to that question. But if an employer agrees to give you a job offer even in this condition ofcourse you can apply for work permit. But to be honest it is a rare case, cz if any employer does this (i.e. give a job offer to a person who is not eligible to work in Canada) they often need LMIA approval too. We have talked about this process in detail in this video - th-cam.com/video/dutKayC4Hmc/w-d-xo.html
Dhruv can u guide me about admission in uwaterloo. For master how much average is required in MMath Computer Sci they said 77% req in undergrad on website but some said it should be more. As u said u got offer letter with 6.5 ilets so howmuch perecentage above 77 can open doors for me of uwaterloo. I got 89.7% in undergrad, did good internship in data science had some workshops also and my extracurricular was also good i was General Secretary of Artificial Intelligence Society of my department and remain Ambassador for my uni Is it worth it to apply for master in Computer Sci in waterloo. Are they gonna accept?
Hi guys...I never gave more than two interviews for a single job. However, this time I made a hat trick but still unsure whether I got the job or not! It is one of the top banks in Canada. On my second interview they asked which location and how many hours I want to work. Then after a week they told me XYZ Branch I will be working and someone from that branch would call me but it's becoming 2weeks now ...no call!!! Any idea?
We would recommend go ahead and follow up with the people who interviewed you or try to obtain the contact info for the person from branch who was supposed to call you. Just to see you can get an update.
M planning to move to Canada On study visa. I have 3 years of US mortgage underwriting experience. I would like to know which pg course should I go for if I want to continue working on mortgage field after my studies?? Course should be preferably for 12 to 16 months. Thank you in advance

I have work experience in branch banking in India of 1 and 1/2 years. What are the documents and process to get job in Canada. Kindly guide me
Thanks for mentioning main points to apply for job in bank, as i am from banking background it is really good information to know, i just have one question as you are HR, do Company allow people for interview if they are on visit visa.
@@InTheNorthCanada thank you for quick response the information was very informative

M planning to move to Canada
