Was NOT expecting a guy's voice.. awesome!.. I suppose on a negative note It just goes to show how small minded I am =( but on a bigger positive note this was very helpful thank you very much ^^
As I don’t think the 10+2 makes much sense I worked out and did this pattern with a multiple of 16 stitches which will all make sense once you get into it So just keep casting on 16 stitches and it will work if you follow the written instructions on the video not verbal or visual
I am making a tunic (top down), is there a way to reverse the steps so I can add it on (vs making it separate and then attaching it)? Or can you point me to another option?
Please make a video how you hold your yarn. your style is very much like the continental except the yarn is on the right hand . all the English style I notice they drop the yarn and pick up the yarn.Your yarn is on your right index finger. Thanks
Love your videos! I'm new to knitting and I was wondering if the size of the double point/cable needle matters when using it in your project? I know you stated that you used size 8 knitting needles to make this ruffle but what size is the cable needle you used?
No ma'am, all cables are basically the same diameter. You will have different lengths but that is the only difference. This applies to all circular needles or sets. You have some that are 24", 32", 48" or 60" long typically. With the Addi Click interchangeable needles the cables come with the set. Same for other sets too. I hope this helps. :)
Hi i'm trying to make a scarf now, and I am planning to attach this ruffle edge at the end of my scarf. Is it possible to combine them together because i am using different yarn for the two; scarf and the ruffle edge stitch. How do i combine them once i am done with the 2 products? Please help me, i am a beginner. Thank you so much in advance! :)
These are both mentioned by name at the beginning of the video, but the needles are Addi Lace Click Interchangeable Needles and the yarn is Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand.
Any advice when using the edge to finish a piece or to pick up & knit, putting this on a finished (cast on) edge? In other words creating the ruffled edge from the opposite direction? I'm also knitting in the round, but that's easy to convert.
This isn't making sense to me -- you end a repeat by purling 6, then you purl 4 to end? And on the other side, you end a repeat by knitting 6, and end by knitting 4 more?

Do you have a ruffle cast off 🙏 for a top down jumper ??
Shouldn't it be multiples of 10 + 8? The 4 beginning and 4 end with 10 st repeat? or am I missing something? Thanks for this tutorial!

Is it possible to do this in the round? This seems like it would be an interesting way to end a sleeve.
If doing a blanket, how do you go up the sides and then turn the corner at the end of the blanket?
This is really a great stitch! Thank you!

this would look good on a cute skirt maybe.

Most cable needles do not have sizes
do you mean the length?
No, I mean the gauge of the cable needle. Should it be as close as possible to the size of the needles you are using?

You can use a double pointed needle in the same size of the needles you are knitting if you really wanna be scientifically precise!

Super
How many stitches do you end with before casting off or adding to an edge?
Oh! can you tell me where I can find the case that you show with the needles? and what kind of yarn are you using for the ruffles. Thank you

Nevermind! I heard the part where you mentioned the end amount this time! Thanks!

Same. The only thing I can think of is knitting it separately and sewing it on. But I’d rather knit as I go. Have you found a solution?
Where do you get the interchangeable knitting needles at?
Oh okay, thank you! :)

ooops, never mind lmao I just realized the last repeat was k4 instead of k6
need to say rept rows 1&2 until ready to wk row 7,also written instruction does not match verbal on row 7
Your instructions, esp. the written ones, do NOT match what we're seeing.
Your videos are soooo helpful I was expecting a woman... But that's a bit sexist so sorry for that
I lie your needles
Thanks!
Too much talking, just get on with the visual and sub text instuctions.
