Great video and can't wait to make it myself. Like the addition of blueberries which are a great pairing with lemon so should be super yummy. Your ideas in these videos are awesome!!!
@@leslieslass No I'm in upstate near Albany, NY-3 hours to the city, 3 hours to Montreal and 3 hours to Boston! Last time I was at Nathan's hot dogs was in the 80's lol. We go down about every other month to visit NYC-pizza amazing!
Buttermilk is awesome in a pound cake recipe or package. I can't always get out to purchase fresh buttermilk. So I purchased a package in the baking section of Buttermilk envelopes basically dried buttermilk. I can't tell the difference when it's baked or used in a salad dressing. This way if something calls for buttermilk or I want to use buttermilk I just take out an envelope and mix it. You can also do the milk and lemon juice or vinegar but the powdered buttermilk is closer to Fresh buttermilk I have found. :-)
I use the dried buttermilk as well its great to have in the house as I never have fresh unless I have something to Bake or marinate. I have even marinated chicken in the dried buttermilk just mix with water. I'll have to give it a try using it in dressings. Thank again Elizabeth!
3 cups water and 300F for 30 minutes-steam bake foe new machine. I don't have the older machine to experiment with -I am assuming the machine steams during the pre and then air crisps for the time selected. It took my pumpkin bread 20 minutes to come up to steam and then cooked for the 30 minutes. But this from a cold start I have noticed that it will come up to steam quicker if the appliance hot/warm. Oh wait I can give it a try in this machine as I hav e all of the older functions. Or the machine may steam for a certain amount of time then bake/crisp the rest of the time. I can experiment but think I will also send an e-mail to Ninja kitchen and ask
It's an OXO liquid measuring cup-picked it. up on Amazon-but I didn't melt the butter in the container-I usually use a Pyrex or a ramekin then I poured it into OXO container. I don't think it is microwave safe. Here is a link for the product amzn.to/3co4ud2 Thanks Sandra!
Great work, looks amazing. Great idea with the silicone mat at the bottom of the Foodi pan. I have been just using parchment paper, but I will look for one of those. Love the little Ninja loaf pan. Adding it to my list of must haves. It's true about trial and error with adapting recipes using the Bake/Roast feature. With the hot weather here in Ontario Canada, I have been using the Roast feature for pork loin and other cuts of meat. Cooks very well, less clean up, and does not heat up the kitchen or the cook. LOL Just trying to come up with a rule of thumb for adapting meat roasting times and temperatures when using the Foodi. So far, I have just been using my usual oven time and temperature and checking it frequently. Still have not found the magic formula for converting recipes for roasting or baking, but having fun trying.
Don't forget carry-over time! The proper way to test for doneness because of carryover is to test it halfway between the outside and the middle and nobody does that. So once it's not batter in the middle get it out because it's going to carry over another 15 degrees and will continue to bake.;-)
Then its probably a little over. done but edible lol. The tops do get a bit crunchy but will have to cover with foil earlier in the baking time. thanks Elizabeth!
Hi! Sorry should have said-its the 6.5 Qt. and the baking pan is from Ninja Kitchen the baking set for the Ninja Foodi. Here is a link for it on Amazon amzn.to/32EVQmB Thank you for watching!
This was done in the 6.5 Wt. but I have found with baking the item comes out better using a round pan. I find the top is a little too done for me. Recently I made banana bread in the loaf pan and also in the ninja round pan- I like the results better with a round pan. Or you can use two small loaf pans but will have to bake them separately. Thanks cyanne1
@@sedsworld1672 The ninja pan is between 8-9. inches. I should make it in a regular cake pan-they are cheaper than the ninja pan. Maybe I will try it in an 8 or a 9 inch pan and se how it comes out-think I have one more lemon m ix in the cabinet.
I don't have such a busy life. I cannot find a Ninja foodi recipe for pumpkin bread which is huge at least here in New England during the fall and Thanksgiving. Can I assume that I can use a banana bread recipe for the times and temperatures? I will be using a loaf pan Which a couple of the banana bread recipes are in a loaf pan.
Has anybody seen the new Pillsbury Poppin fresh sweet biscuits with icing yet? They have one that comes in blueberry and I would be inclined to put some lemon in the icing that they provide. :-)
It's a bit confusing.lol. I moved to. Florida but my mom became ill so I'm. back in NY. For how long I do not know. I'm a travel. nurse and would like to eventually get an RV and travel the US. That's the plan eventually.
Lisa, I have decided having just subscribed to your channel and watched a lot of your other videos on the Ninja Foodi that the best thing for me to do is to fly over to you in New York from England and help out with the food tasting LOL! Seriously though, can you please tell me what difference there is between the Aircrisp, Baking/Roast mode, and Grill or as you say in America Broil as they all use the fan and the heating element, I mean what would have happened if you had done that blueberry pie on Aircrisp mode for example?
Come on over! I usually bring most of the items I make to work or give to family and friends. What I have found and it’s just my opinion is broil is a little warmer/ hotter than air crisp. The difference between air crisp and bake roast is I really don’t know lol. But I did bake a batch of cookies using air crisp by accident and I noticed the cookie browned up more and baked much quicker. Also the bake/roast has different temp settings compared to air crisp.
Please don’t speak louder, your voice is piercing already! But thanks for the awesome receipts! It is so satisfying watching you cook! Don’t talk so much, so fast, so loud , that Would really help. To enjoy more.

Love this appliance! The silicone round is great! Same as you still trying to get times correct for cook times but love it!
