Only a teensy bit. He was a power grubbing politician. He shou ld have understood how the Sith work. Anakin won the battle. Dooku was just grovelling for what good it might do. none.
What if , Anakin Skywalker did what Luke Skywalker did later and refuses to kill Dooku, Palpatine disappointed, hits Anakin Skywalker with lightning and Dooku returns to the light side and kills Palpatine?
@@Thebossstage1 You don't need hands to use the Force. They are there to help you concentrate/visualize what you want to do with the Force. He's not so honorable in the Clone Wars animated series though lol. He's downright menacing. Christopher Lee's portrayal is much more like how Dooku probably was when he was a Jedi than how he was as Darth Tyranus, which is to say you're right.. If you're referring to the movies. But both are great versions of the character!
Honestly, it didn’t seem Dooku was dedicated completely to the sith. He seemed more focused on the politics. He never truly dedicated to the sith ways (you can tell because his eyes never turned orange, a good indicator someone is completely immersed in darkness.) Dooku truly is (one of) the best characters. His skill at dueling was on par with that of Mace Windu, I’d say.
TheObserver No, unless you somehow got your hands on every single deleted scene and manually compiled them together yourself in the context of the movie. However, even if you did that it wouldn't flow properly and it wouldn't be nearly as good as if the 4 hour version actually existed. I don't think you could do all this anyway, as some of the deleted scene's you would need were probably deleted during the production of the film. So technically it's somewhat possible, but it's not really practical to accomplish. If you're asking if there's a special edition or something you can just buy that is 4 hours and includes all the deleted scene's, then no definitely not.
Also if you got the 4 hour version you'd end up with scenes from the released version looking amazing and polished and then the deleted ones being bunch of green screens and background props with no polish.
I prefer the silence because I like to imagine that it was in those last few moments where dooku realizes he just got replaced and he was staring into the eyes of his successor.
Dooku accepted that he had lost. Both the duel with Anakin and the game of betrayal with Sidious. Despite these losses, he still kept his pride, and would not lower himself to begging for his life.
Naufal Muhammad fun fact, Palpatine never lived into his 90’s. He died at 88. He’s around 57-60 in this movie. Looks way older tho. And Count Dooku is about 83 in this movie

I'm curious what would have happened if the Yuuzhan Vong invasion had started just after the Mandalorian wars, with Canderous' discovery of what seemed like a Vong scouting shit.
They should have built up the story how Palpatine would threaten Dooku he'd get replaced and show that Dooku would think Anakin would be a piece of cake, which is why he's so confident in their 2nd duel. Like Dooku openly knows Palpatine is eyeing Anakin
Honestly, the answer is obvious. The chancellor would have said Anakin they will use any excuse to remain in existence, as a Jedi it is your duty to eliminate the sith and then that will be followed by a "DO IT!!!". Anakin would never believe it, he had such hatred for Dooku especially all he went through in EP2 let's not forget Padme's life was also at risk.
GamerOverflowException dude he had no idea about Padme being at risk or any of that yet what are you even talkin about..... he didn't even know she was even pregnant until AFTER this battle. After the battle of coruscant was over and the war was pretty much all but ended besides hunting down grievous and what was left..... he had not yet had any nightmares about her or anything, Which he only had AFTER he found out she was pregnant. That has. Nothing to do with this
According to movie trivia, it says that apparently Dooku played a role in Anakin mother's death by paying the tusken raiders to do so and that Palpatine was going to expose him before his demise.
Dooku's thought: "I'm a dead man. I can either rat out Palps and be slowly electrocuted for it, or, I can let Captain Sand Lover kill me quick and then suffer for the rest of his life as a Sith. Hmmm, what to choose?..."
Lucian Landry He had nothing against Anakin. He could have ratted out Palpatine leading to him getting captured or killed, far better revenge than letting some kid that hadn't done anything to him suffer.
I honestly don't think Anakin would've believed him anyways. Palpatine would've played on it just like during the scene with Mace Windu telling him not to be tricked by him in the background. After a slight hesitation Anakin would've yelled to Dooku "Lies!" and behead him. Think about it, he's casting blame on a "helpless hostage" at the most convenient time, it only screams desperation of a dying man. It may have left a small doubt in Anakin's mind, but at this point in time he has already deluded himself into thinking Palpatine is his friend and not like other politicians.
The scene is designed carefully, of course, so that Kenobi is unconscious at this vital moment. Most obviously he would have stopped Anakin killing Dooku. He also would likely have pieced together what was really going on, remembering what Dooku had told him.
I think if Dooku told Anakin, it could’ve gone one of three ways: 1. Anakin wouldn’t have believed it, and just gone ahead and killed him, plot still being the same in the movie. 2. Anakin wouldn’t have believed it, killed him, but questioned it later in the movie, and make a move against the secret Sith Lord. 3. Anakin would’ve believed it, prepare his next move, and charge at Sidious before he can reach for his lightsaber.
Not even George Lucas would write something like that: a small frog-creature being forced to live in a giant desert and a man being forced to live in a giant swamp. And Luke would have thrown out his back carrying Obi-Wan around like a backpack.
Bear in mind that Dooku was a known Sith Lord and therefore untrustworthy, Palpatine was in charge of the entire republic, and Anakin’s friend. Even if Dooku had called Sidious out, there’s a good chance Anakin may have flat out not believed him.
Christopher Lee was just incredible. Even when he was playing the most evil characters, he looked as if he was genuinely enjoying himself, and was class incarnate.
Dooku didn't because at the moment when he realized he had been betrayed Palpatine paralyzed his throat so all he could do was strain to speak as he's seen doing in the movie.
MILKY WILKY WAY it you’re not breathing all you can do is gasp I think you’re the dumb one because it would take a while to suffocate it was only 10-15 before he was beheaded so he still would’ve be alive
What if Vader's cybernetics were perfect but instead Palpatine had added a little box full of SAND within the suit that would exploded inside Vader's suit in case he tried to overthrow Palpatine? 😁😁😁
Hey it's the dumb dead channel, that prankster guy. Let's hope you're pranking on this statement, cuz alotta people respect dooku. Wouldn't want your channel to be destroyed, would you?
I feel like dooku revealing Palpatine's identity would not help, as either Anakin would not believe him, or the Mace Windu Palpatine fight would've just happened earlier
The Natundi something tells me he would have still followed him. He knew it was a dodgy order & still did it because in the end, thats the kind of justice anakin believed in
If Dooku would have spilled the beans, Palpatine would have tried to brush it off that Dooku was simply lying to say anything to spare his life. I think there is a chance that Anakin would have still killed Dooku anyway with Palpatine convincing Anakin how dangerous Dooku was .. but I think there would always be doubt in Anakin's mind after that and thinking Dooku was telling the truth. It could have very well altered the entire plan of Palpatine's and was a huge gamble ... unless Palpatine knew a way to prevent Dooku from physically speaking using the Force.
Interesting fact about the fight between Anakin and Dooku, in the original script, Dooku was supposed to beg for his life upon being put to his knees but Christopher Lee, the actor who played as Dooku, felt that it would have been out of character. Honoring Lee's request, Lucas wrote that off of the script.
I love that face dooku gives the chancellor when he says kill him. It just shows how evil the emperor really is, and that he will gladly deceive his own as well as his enemies. He disposes of his apprentices at first convenience, even without a second thought, for someone younger and more powerful.
*Palpatine*: Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? *Anakin*: No. *Palpatine*: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create...life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about...from dying. *Anakin*: He could actually...save people from death? *Palpatine*: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. *Anakin*: What happened to him? *Palpatine*: He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death...but not himself. *Anakin*: Is it possible to learn this power? *Palpatine*: Not from a Jedi.
Anakin: Explain this, Palpy old pal. If you are the present Sith Lord, and Plagueis was your Master, and you killed him to take his place, how the hell can that story already be a Legend?
Not only does this reveal how palpatine knew how to use a light saber and the force, but it also echoes the death of darth Vader. He could save others from death (Luke), but not himself.
Simple answer he was in shock that his master throws him away, also he didn’t think anakin would believe him and he felt the dark side of anakin so lose lose
Jeff Sol well, in the clone wars series there was a similar scene in which Kenobi was surrounded by lots of droids and Grievous ordered them to fire and still won by almost only using the force
Jeff Sol Although considering he was the most skilled Soresu practitioner, he would have maybe stood a chance, as that kind of stuff would be meat and drink to him. I think he could have possibly jumped behind Grievous, meaning that the majority of the droids couldn't fire for fear of hitting one another or their commander 😀
Dooku’s fall and failure was his inability to know of the unexpected betrayal by Sidious. Which is sad, as he studied the Sith for so long he should realise that the Sith is based off of betrayal. His want for self power blinded him from Sidious’s true plans.
I wonder how powerful Dooku really was. He was trained in the light side by Yoda, argubly the most wise and powerful jedi (that I know of, haven't read any books or anything so please correct if I'm misstaken), and he was also trained by Sidious in the darkside one of the most powerful siths there was. That knowlage combined should be very unique and giving.
Well considering he beat both Obi-Wan and Anakin in the same fight and also proceeded to hold his own in a duel against Yoda I would say he was pretty damn powerful!
And even with all that experience, he's still not as powerful as Sidious. He'd be powerful enough to hold his own for a little while, but still ultimately fall.
Shuraking Dino hmm...maybe they dont use force levitation as often because it requires alot of concentration, and one mistake might lead to losing their concentration...thats my theory anyway
Theory ideas: "What if Ashoka didnt leave the order", "What if Fives didnt die and tell jedi about order 66"... Ik its from CW but you should start making theories from CW cuz theres a lot of them and they r awsm :D OOOR "What if Anakin couldn't kill the younglings and turned to the light" :D That would be sick.... btw sry for my bad English XD
Honestly, I’m pretty sure Ashoka was the person keeping Anikin from going to the dark side. I’m pretty sure I’ve got my time line right, but shortly after her leaving, are the events of episode 3. It’s stated many times that he relied on her to keep him straight, and in rebels, they end up meeting face to face. She realizes who Vader is, and apologizes for not being there, and for running away. She says she won’t abandon him this time, and all he does is look at her with hatred and say, then you will die. The only motivation behind this that I can think of is anikin blames her for not being there to help him when he needed it, and now being full of rage and hatred, only wants to kill her. So In short, had Ashoka not left the Jedi, I’m pretty sure anakin wouldve never gone to the dark side.
I had always thought Sidious was using the force to silence Tyranus, seeing how force chokes cut off someone's air, and I could imagine someone as powerful as Sidious using the force to hold his tongue. It almost seemed like as if he wanted to say something, but then realized it could not be done and all he could do was stare in silence and accept his fate.
Damn dude, that far into the clone wars and dooku still tried to see if he could help obi wan 😔 He may have been a sith but I think he was still a good guy deep down
I think this is a false assessment of what really happened. In the comic Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir (which is the first canon Star Wars comic since the Disney takeover) Mother Talzin tells Dooku that Palpatine will betray and replace him like he did her son Darth Maul before him. I think that Dooku didn't say anything because he was shocked that it was the truth and that realization was repeating over and over in his mind as he was piecing it together and saw how it all made sense from Palpatine's perspective.
@tiglath pileser , that comment makes you one of the biggest tools I have ever seen. Disney will never tell me what I am allowed to accept as canon. They have delivered nothing but dog crap with the sequel trilogy, and it will never count in my book. If I like something from the old EU, then it will be canon for me. I have a mind, unlike yourself as you bend over in submission and are dictated to about what you are allowed to enjoy. Pathetic. Fans like you are an embarrassment.
Dooku:: “Anakin, Palpatine is the most evil Sith Lord ever, just Google the name Darth Sidious“ Palpatine: “Dooku, you are fake news! I‘m gonna make the galaxy great again. I am the best chancellor of all time. Everybody knows I am the best! You are a terrible actor and look much like Dracula. You are fired!“ Anakin:“Are you really the bad Sith Lord everybody is talking about?“ Palpatine:“Yes, I’m gonna build a beautiful Death Star and the Jedi have to pay for it“
Anakin wouldn’t of believed dooku but later be suspicious of palpatin. Having the seeds of doubt sown by dooku’s last words. That’s what I imagined. Anakin thinks of palpatin as a friend while dooku is a enemy.
I find the coreography for this fight the best in the entire series. You can see how Anakin taps into his dark side, just a little, and uses strength to overpower Dookus form 2, hammering him down and exhausting him.
Do you think the Emperor is weak? No he is one of the most powerful Sith Lord in the Galaxy and that's the reason why he owns Sith He would've easily killed Anakin if he wanted to...
I really wish they would have had more of that in the movies. I never knew that Dooku ALLOWED Anakin to win, it shows how powerful Dooku was, that he likely still could have won if he wanted to.
If Dooku told him, it could've gone two ways, the second could branch out to two as well. The first he tells Anakin, Anakin doesn't believe him due to Palpatine playing some charismatic charm he uses so much and kills Dooku anyway. Although it could maybe lead to Anakin going to Mace Windu earlier than he did about Palpatine. The second is if he told Anakin, and Anakin believe him, Palpatine would've most likely either playing the victim card or kill Anakin. Anakin was strong, yes, but I don't believe he had the power to take him on. Mace Windu barely did, only due to his unique fighting style. How Palpatine would play off Anakin's and eventually Obi-Wan's death is unknown, but he'd find a way.
Grineer Researcher Tyl Regor You're an idiot. Lmao why don't you actually READ this ROTS novelization before you spew out ignorance. Anakin was literally thee strongest force sensitive ever by this point. of ANY era. He was the most dominant lightsaber combatant and warrior the Jedi had, says it clear as day right in this same novelization. Dooku was NOT "holding back" whatsoever. He THOUGHT he was going to, when the fight actually started and he ragdolled Obi-Wan after 2 seconds, he felt the force energy of Anakin growing stronger and stronger and stronger and it scared the hell out of him, he had NOTHING on Anakin by ROTS. He KNEW he was about to be defeated, which is when he started trying to taunt him and throw him off, which worked for a minute and he felt that energy from Anakin "cool off" momentarily.. But as soon as they unlocked and Anakin started to fuel his rage and fear more and more and more once again and he just completely dominated Dooku at that point. Dooku was givin it EVERYTHING he had, He did NOT "hold back" whatsoever. Not even remotely. Anakin just straight up flattened him in 40 seconds flat. Period. How about you actually read it like I said and don't just think you know everything. Lmao, dude Anakin was already stronger than Sidious AND Yoda by that point. And that's a fact. Again, it's all in this novelization. But all u had to do is just watch the film and u can see yourself. OR just watch the Mortis arc in TCW. Anakin was the ONLY being strong enough to control the Ones, who were literally the Gods of the force itself. NOBODY else was strong enough to do so, NOT Yoda, NOT Luke, nobody.... and THAT was a year and a half almost 2 years before Ep3 even happened. And Anakin had grown immensely stronger by then. Like I said, Nobody could rival his strength at this point. Definitely not Dooku. Only Yoda and Sidious were in the same league as him. Or, you can just listen to LUCAS himself. Ya know, the man who WROTE all of it. He's said multiple times that Anakin lost nearly 40% of his power after his injuries at the end of the film, and was STILLLL 80-90% the strength of Yoda and Sidious. It's not hard to do the math there. That comes straight from Lucas. He was already 120-130% the power level of both of them. Dooku was dead before the fight even started and Sidious KNEW that. Dooku had no idea what was about to happen.
Your explanation actually makes sense ! It's whether that, or Dooku entered a state called "sideration", as psychologists and doctors call it, where you are immobilized for a short time. It's the same thing that happens to animals on the highway when a car is driving fast towards them. Sometimes, the brain reacts to a shock by immobilizing your whole body, in order to strengthen you against danger, and that reaction may prove to be your undoing. It's ironic...
AJ Obi wan: i heard that and I’m reporting it to the council Palpatine: * shocks himself * HeLp Me AnAkIn I cAn HeLp YoU sAvE pAdMe Anakin: **flashback** Padme: ani i’m preggoes Anakin: *[i can’t pay for child support]* Padme: ani? Ani? **flashback over** Anakin: nah
The other fun thing about this fight in the novelization is that Kenobi and Skywalker jointly hustle Dookue by starting out deliberately using weaker lightsaber forms that Dooku has no worries about dealing with: Kenobi with Ataru and Skywalker with Shien. Halfway through the fight, they switch to Soresu and Djem So. At this point a mild panic creeps into Dooku as he realizes he's being played to some extent. He expends a lot of his force reserves knocking Kenobi out of the fight, and doesn't have much left in the tank to deal with Anakin, who begins to outfight and overpower him.
What if Dooku killed Anakin during their duel on Geonosis instead of humiliated him? Kill the chosen one in order to show the Jedi just how much they are wrong in a lot things? The changes will be huge. How will Sidious react ? How Ben Kenobi will react ?
- Master I have suceeded...I have defeated the chosen one - Wait...what!? - Chosen one is dead, it was not even that hard to kill him! - Shit, years of planning just went out of the window.
Can you guess Dooku's age before he died?

Plus, even if he went to trial, nobody would believe anything he said, ESPECIALLY that Palpatine was Sidious, let alone that Palpatine was even force sensitive. He would be the biggest, most hated criminal alive, nobody would have ANY reason to believe anything he said.

That's a interesting idea
But dooku had his hands cut off at that point.
How could he have picked up a lightsaber or used the force?
@@Thebossstage1 As I said "I can imagine Dooku use his extreme talent with the force to throw Palpi out of the invisible hand with telekinesis"
If Anakin is still holding his lightsaber, he could just block the force lightning.
@@Thebossstage1 You don't need hands to use the Force. They are there to help you concentrate/visualize what you want to do with the Force.
That's why Anakin and later Vader could use the Force with a hand that was an inorganic prosthetic. Force Lightning being the only exception, because it'd fry his prosthetics.
Dooku is honestly the best character in Star Wars, despite being Sith lord he seems more honorable than most of the jedi

He was also a powerful and savage fighter
Apparently this film was originally 4 hours long, really wish we got that version as it would've included a lot of good scenes.
Any way to get the original 4 hour long film?
Edit: *original*
TheObserver No, unless you somehow got your hands on every single deleted scene and manually compiled them together yourself in the context of the movie. However, even if you did that it wouldn't flow properly and it wouldn't be nearly as good as if the 4 hour version actually existed. I don't think you could do all this anyway, as some of the deleted scene's you would need were probably deleted during the production of the film. So technically it's somewhat possible, but it's not really practical to accomplish. If you're asking if there's a special edition or something you can just buy that is 4 hours and includes all the deleted scene's, then no definitely not.
I don't think most people would want to sit through a 4 hour long movie at their local theater.
Also if you got the 4 hour version you'd end up with scenes from the released version looking amazing and polished and then the deleted ones being bunch of green screens and background props with no polish.
They should release an alternate DVD. That would give people more of an incentive to buy DVDs.
I prefer the silence because I like to imagine that it was in those last few moments where dooku realizes he just got replaced and he was staring into the eyes of his successor.

John Talton dont u find it funny? He was SHOCKED
Lmao Captain Sand Lover
Captain Sand Lover lmao. Actually never heard that one before
The scene is designed carefully, of course, so that Kenobi is unconscious at this vital moment. Most obviously he would have stopped Anakin killing Dooku. He also would likely have pieced together what was really going on, remembering what Dooku had told him.
I think if Dooku told Anakin, it could’ve gone one of three ways:

*Palpatine*: Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
*Anakin*: No.
*Palpatine*: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend.

Why cant Jedi/Sith use the force to levitate themselves and basically....fly?

Seems legit. I was always questioning hiw Anakin was able to defeat Dooku. Dooku playing a part and going easy makes sense.
It makes sense that Dooku always spared Obi one Kenobi's life in those duels.
Why would he go to mace when everybody else is there
This was one of the best videos, yet a year later I told you Theory I’m still watching can’t wait to see what’s in store for he future
I’m pissed of with dookus death because he was told to toy with him because if he was trying he would wreck anakin
Do you know how to read? This is patently false. Do some research.
Agreed 🤝
@@Jbf-76 nope
What if Dooku didn't hold back in this fight you just covered
RastaGaming he would have killed Anakin and plans will change
Dooku was holding back??
Dooku thought it was part of an elaborate plan devised by Sidius, and was told to go easy on Anakin.
+Hopesedge bullshit. dooku didn't go easy on anakin. anakin was a lot stronger than dooku in episode 3.
The best way for dooku to snitch would just be “save me master” or like “don’t do this Sith Lord”
Palpatine: Good Anikan good! Kill him... kill him now.
Count Dooku: PALPATINEISTHESITHLORDHEISMINIPULATINGTHESEJEDIANDTHESENATE!!!!!
Palpatine: **Looks at Dooku Dissatisfied**
Palpatine: *Dew* it Anikan

Padme: ani? Ani?
**flashback over**
Anakin: nah
Anikan
- Master I have suceeded...I have defeated the chosen one
- Wait...what!?
- Chosen one is dead, it was not even that hard to kill him!
- Shit, years of planning just went out of the window.
Everyone loses their shit
No Vader and Star Wars ruined
