If you do decide to do engine work, I have a couple little tips. Invest in a torque wrench, as torque setting become more and more important the further into the engine you get. Replace as many gaskets/seals that you disturb as you can, particularly ones that seal oil/coolant. Finally, keep track of everything, which bolts went where, which things you took out first, what orientation things are in etc. The better you can keep track of how it came apart, the easier it is to put back together, photos are great for this

Have you by any chance got any videos that shows how you remove the front wing? Got a sagging driver door to sort on my Micra k11 (bushings in hinge have corroded), but need to take the wing off to access the hinge bolts but don't know where to start.
Bro, It would be nice to see you put in an SR20, does not necessarily needs to be a det models as the market is expensive right now, even the NA version would be killer on this build. The sr20ve for example would simply make BORIS fly !!! XD
The stiffer springs are to reduce the spring oscillation under boost, which creates a better seal when the valve is closed. I can’t see why it would have any impact on the timing chain, but it would probably wear the cams more although it would be barely noticeable.
the 1.0L can handle much more abuse and boost than the 1.4 can and if im not mistaken revvs higher, like how the honda lads will put a k24 head on a k20 bottom end to get the torque from the k24 and the high rev range of the k20
You say you're the furthest thing from a mechanic but I'm always impressed by how much you know and how balls deep you get with the work on your cars.
