I don't think any of the "big" companies do yet. The only one I can think of, off the top of my head so not exhaustive, is the Talentcell. Tho that's not exactly "sleek" like these mag ones.
I got this alert but I have the square 24k batteries I don’t think they are actually in the recall they are the 200 dollar super nice big ones for MacBooks
i dont think anker is trying to kill you. recalls happens all the time. its when they ignore recalls and rather eat up the cost of killing people then it becomes a problem. I mean it triggered pretty quickly as it was only 3 days once finding out the issue.
I disagree. While I am not specifically, an electrical engineer, anyone who does any sort of design/engineering knows compromise is the biggest factor between page and build. An engineer, in this case electrical, will come up with a plan that is safe, and then the company will knick away at it, trimming components to their cheapest and weighing risks. This happens all day, every day when anything is being built.
Western Maryland here 👋
Those are all models with Qi wireless (inductive) charging. Inductive charging makes a lot more heat than wired changing. I wonder if that's related.
Good point
The A1647 model doesn’t have wireless charging. It is all wired. Anker said they have a defect in the batteries.
I wonder if they make LiPo4 battery banks. I'm getting tired of the instability of Lithium-Ion.

Great I just bought the A1652 yesterday from target. It won’t charge
I just returned it and opted for a plug in. Target has not been notified of a recall.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Damn just found out I have that, thanks for this news!
My pleasure
What's the exact issue? Faulty cells? Isn't battery protection circuitry supposed to prevent problems, even on failing cells?
Unless the protection is what failed? Idk I haven't read anywhere what specifically can fail.
Solid advice: Don't kill your customers. Really applies legal and illegal transactions 😅
Looking at you, fent dealers....
