Man you remind me so much of me and my brother that it is crazy. Except I'm 58 and he is 61 ! And we have never grown out of it ! The slingshots , the blowguns , the air guns. All of it . Your videos are like my own memories ! I have hunted with the same blowgun for 48 years ! I still have my first Air Rifle too, A Sheridan Blue Streak 5mm made in 1968 ! I used to think of birds as cute little things but ever since I hunted some, I think about how good they taste

I never have heard of anyone doing a catch and cook on sparrows. That is definitely a first! I knew a man that loved to eat starlings. That hawk was probably a captive for falconry at one time. I was a bird bander for a number of years and the red bands are owner ID bands.
ive eatin sparrows they taste pretty good and ive eatin starling once but when I shot it I winged it and the stupid thing was running from me and was stressed so when I ate it the starling was chewy and I heard if they are stressed the meat taste different

I concur. As a kid, I hunted hundreds of birds with my Daisy 990 and learned barn cats don't like to eat birds with black feathers. On the other hand, sparrows were like candy to them.
Anyone else notice how many bullet holes in the on tower and in the roof of the dark silos? i wonder what the owner thinks about that?
A company named PARD makes a scope cam it’s called pard 007 it’s just like your scope cam but it also have night vision ! I have the pard-008 it’s a all in one scope cam but the night vision is very good and the 007 is very well priced

Any of the JTS air rifles or Umarex gauntlet or Umarex origin. Air Venturi Avenger is also a good one or the one I used in this vid. I think the hawke airmax scope is good. I also use Athlon helos a lot too.

Nothing like blowing up a few house sparrows/starlings/rock doves/euro collared doves. The doves I'll eat, and I've actually scrambled and eaten a single fresh laid house sparrow egg 😂 but no sparrow meat for me!

I noticed they tumbled about the same as the heavy ones. I will probably stick with these because they shoot flatter.

English house sparrow are terrible there invasive and your doing a good thing

A hand pump. I just bought a portable compressor so I will be using that for now on

Never miss a chance to kill a starling in North America, they are awful buggers . Have you tried the .25 caliber bullet type projectiles yet?
I haven't shot slugs out of it. I plan on keeping this gun a pellet shooter. My FX Wildcat I'm getting soon will be a slug shooter.

Birding with a pellet rifle is great, cheap entertainment and lowers the number of feral birds.
Just got a hummingbird and some random bird that I was aiming a little too low after I pulled the trigger, got the bird below that was huge and just dropped. Hummingbird took a shot to the body and still moving, took two more shots to the head since it was moving awful lot

I've been trying to get one with my 17hmr all winter with no luck yet. It's now breeding season for the coyotes so hopefully I'll be able to call them in easier.
The Pigeons I can see but why the Sparrows? They eat a lot of insects and are a fun bird to watch? Killing just for killing I don't care for and yes, I have always been a hunter and shooter.
They are an invasive species that compete with native songbirds for food and nesting. They also poop all over our barns and equipment.
