- Blackbirds are a pest in my area because of the damage they cause to our crops. I take my Benjamin Marauder .25 out with a scope cam and try to knock out some of the population before they start building their nests.

Hey Guys -- I don't want to sound like an Old Grandpa (even though I am one), BUT -- I'm sure your folks have told you about the probability of PARASITES in wild game -- Right? -- If you're gonna cook and eat your catch, please be sure there's no red or rosy colored liquid coming from the meat especially around bony areas -- Parasites have a nasty habit of finding their way into your intestines and living there inside you ! -- This goes for ANY WILD MEAT whether it be fish, foul or mammal -- GUYS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL !

Great shooting…. Glad you could figure out that chair gun app. It’s extremely useful for long ranges. I’m a landscaper and those red winged black birds attack me on the daily in the summer. I hate them so it’s nice seeing them go
I don't think I would have ever been able to get the ranges figured out if it wasn't for that app. I have heard of people getting attacked by those birds but have never had it happen to me yet Im guessing it is similar to being chased by geese?

Ouhhh man getting chased by a black bird is extremely annoying. They’re cowards, they attack once you have your back turned. And they peck and scratch at your head while flying by… I’ve killed them with slingshots LOL
I didn't know you could cull Redwings or Grackels. I always thought it was only Starlings and House Sparrows

@jimmccutchen8606 unless they are a pest, his family has a farm, and he is doing pest control to keep them from eating crops.

Great shooting !! I have the same Benjamin marauder in 25 cal . Get you a DonnyFl adapter and a DonnyFl Ronin suppressor and you will get even more follow up shots . Put to noise level to half

I thought redwing blackbirds were considered songbirds and illegal to kill.
It may be illegal in other states. I checked with my local game warden before I went hunting to make sure it was legal.

Hey man, I've been hunting my Airventuri avenger now. But I have difficulty finding the birds. Do you have any recommendations?
Around ponds, along the edges of fields and farms are my go to places.
I’ve hunting with jsb heavy’s and jsb hades and from my experience the hades with literally nearly cut birds in half and blow big holes in squirrels heads
wow! I bet those work great for larger game too. I wish they made a heavy version of the hades for more energy downrange. I was wanting to do some groundhog hunting this summer out past 50 yards with the hades but not sure if there will be enough energy down range for a clean kill.
@@blockethoutdoors They definitely will I’ve hunted with them for a while and they will do a number of bigger stuff like groundhogs and coons. I’ve done bunch of test with them and they will expand out to about 90 yards with .22 so I bet they will do fantastic out of the .25 cal.

I think you may need to aim a little lower when shooting uphill. Because when the shooting angle is steep, you'll only have one zero, other than two when you shoot horizontally.
You are right. I has suprised with the first 2 birds i shot in the video were headshots when i was aiming for the body. Then i remembered a video teds holdover did on shooting up how the point of impact changes.

Tedwing black birds are xovered under th migrratory bird act ... Research it .killing em might be a felony

They are illegal to kill in fl because they are under the migratory bird act if ya ever get down here lets do some iguana control .. sfl has some many different invasive species

I like when people call it pest cotrol :). The birds are flying and enjoing the forest there, so they live their lives. Pest control 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Say just honestly that you are simply enjoing the shooting and seeing how you hit something that moves 😁.
I like when people don’t know where their food comes from.
These bird kill local songbirds and are considered invasive species in most states. They are legally defined as pests.
