Silog which is a Filipino meal with an egg on top can be done a few different ways with Longanisa, Tocino and in White Rice's case, Sisig aka Sisilog! Wife and I celebrated 33 year anniversary this evening. We went to Royal Star here in Mount Vernon, Washington. It has Asian food and American Food. Nanay and Tatay live with us. Have homemade Filipino food. Next we go to my old Carrier USS Midway, need to try the Filipino food.

The silog means were probably NON Traditional and Not Cultural at all. They started selling those in the big cities like Manila and Cebu to drunken people. Then it was promoted like a Filipino thing by the media. It is just glorified breakfast food. Because eggs are cheaper the vegetables.
It's not house made " Mang Tomas" sauce. It's house made liver sauce. Mang Tomas is artificial and disgusting and the lazy cooks way out and people should stop buying it.
