Always a sad moment when I see one these in a rough state. I've had three ,a 628 (!) a 635 and a M6. The latter was real gem and when I was working in the Bush (Australia) I could cruise along at 200+ all day.
E24 Parts are gold these days, especially in Australia. I hope you saved the electric headlight units too they are rare to find. The arms are one of the hardest bits to get.
Love the e24. Dad took me to collect it back in '82 from Parklane, still have the 'six by six' photo pack that came with it. The photos are hanging in my garden house. Wish I could afford to buy one but out of my reach.
Smashing the vids Josh , love all your content. Nice to see you rescuing cars from my era . Wish I had the for thought to buy them late 80s 1990s 🙃although I’d need a warehouse to keep all the ones I did sell lol . All the best ❤️
If it's from Great Yarmouth it's a definite "seaside car", i.e. lots of salt water in the air to rust the car to bits. Was always told to avoid cars from the coastal towns.
Do you remember that time when people used to use small chocks to stop car wheels from moving??. Apparently you can use the stumps from chopped-down bushes as well. I'm guessing you could use those stumps to effectively stop a car, and I bet the car would even give up it's bumper before rolling OVER AN EFFING STUMP FFS. 😟
Good buy in my book. All old cars are disappearing now so if you’re into them and get the chance to buy a parts car paying over the odds is something that has to be done. You’re sitting pretty with the parts you need and also clawing back your out lay from others. All said and done it’s about keeping stylish old cars on the road and we all know that isn’t cheap!
It’s basically already paid for itself! crazy amount of stuff sold very quickly and the parts for these cars are crazy expensive and never come up, managed to sell almost all of the stuff i don’t need and pay for the car 😎
I'm not a BMW fan, but this car I did want to purchase. I just love the body style! If you were in the United States I probably would have purchased the car from you and have it restored! 🤷💯
How many BMW's do you want josh 😂 but that's a rare old tank my best mates dad had one the same model 635 CSI and the same colour ten years ago it went well when you hammed it and got it rolling as it was heavy should be able to sell nearly everything off the shell look at your friend Matt with the X5 with the private plate he must have a good job and fair play as long mum and dad didn't pay for it your other mates BMW you did all the welding on was nearly as bad as that scrap one 😂🤣 shame that engine won't run as it looked like its been sat 20 years or more you got to do some cleaning after it get i off the ramp
Josh, you need to take it all even the back seat buckets and frames...everything, a good trimmer can recreate something if he has one to look at ...if it isn't there he can't copy it. You'll get your money back...Ignore all the blabbers, they haven't a clue...;D
What is it about this particular model of bmw why are they all sitting in yards ,fields ,garages ? I remember one parked in a yard of a local engineering company near where I live the place was sold off and the bmw just sat in the yard windows broken unloved couldn’t believe it real shame .
that’s sad to hear! they was once less than £1000 and wasn’t worth anything! hence why they end up in this state! this one has the windows down the lot !
Blimey josh never seen a car that rotten not so good it cost a bit now you got to claw back your money but then what bits you have got will keep another on the road 👍
Sometimes this is what it takes to get what you need. Just a question. Why does nobody ever seem to take some good wheels when picking up a car that has been sitting for ages. Not a criticism just a question. Have a good week. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
use a bit of common sense when buying these old motors, brush the loose debris off the cars B4 LEAVING, something like a small branch "could" blow off the car you bought, causing a potential accident if a car behind has to swerve to avoid it, and DON`T USE YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING, apart from these silly mistakes, a decent channel to watch.....
Mate, if you do not need another car, donations are welcome my way!!! 😁😁 In other news, surely that is beyond saving? Ok edit, from what I can see, the parts are buggered!
@@Joshwaa___ I always comment before I watch the whole thing. I had a Y reg BMW 5 series fully loaded. One of my best cars I ever owned. It was solid. I saw this on Facebook and tried to tag you in. Then I realised I didn't have you on my Facebook. I'm glad you bought it though!
Awesome! Thank you!

Saw this up for sale, the pictures in the ad didn't do it justice about how rough it actually is haha
it’s worse than pictures isn’t it!
On this episode, a young David Brent rescues yet another rusty BMW 😂
😂
i also need the small plastic triangle for the side view mirror on the left hand side.

11:47 number plate tag for Motofacts which are in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Right by the sea. That may explain the rust issue.
might. But u wont find any of these that is NEVER welded on ALOT or rusted out.
I actually prefer the earlier chrome and rubber bumpers to the late impact ones!
i like both!
Love the registration, my initials 🤣
Best way of doing that is to pack all the bits as you strip - so much easier to know what you have and get it posted out quick
Nice video!
You usually do the first damage on a new trailer the first week. thats my experience. haha
Isn’t worth doing a will it run before you strip it?
Good idea but probably too late 😔
too late!

A 635 is on my bucket list of cars I have to own. There’s so many neglected examples out there it’s a shame!
Sad to see isn’t it!
You are brave for standing underneath that 😂
i felt like that haha
You deserve to get your money back, there's so much work in stripping a car and sounds like you can help loads of other projects out there too.
The last three days of my life has consisted of this hahaha
i would really like to buy the rear fender flares from this car. I am located in NY.
Poor old 635 csi even as a rolling wreck still a handsome car.
You should put the manual gearbox from the 535 into the red 635 if it fits ….
i have sold the white 535!
