  • While attending the (e)revolution electric bike show in Denver Colorado, I got to connect with Liv and Giant and learn more about their Amiti E+ 1 electric bike. This model was developed specifically for women, and comes in an approachable mid-step frame with four size options. This ebike uses a SyncDrive Sport 2 motor, which is manufactured by Yamaha. It has a basic spring suspension fork, hybrid tires, hydraulic disc brakes, fenders, integrated lights, and a removable 625 watt hour EnergyPak Smart downtube battery pack.

    Hi Court ! When will you go to the Eurobike show in Germany? Would love to hear your perspective.

      Hey! Thanks for the encouragement to visit. I'd love to visit Germany again and see all of the new models. It seems that new stuff arrives in Europe first, I've always thought Eurobike would be amazing, but also overwhelming :P have you been?

      @@ElectricBikeReview Hey thanks for the reply. I’ve been to some Belgian bike shows but never to the « holy grail of bike shows « I would love an in-depth series about the pros and cons of different motors mid and hub and different gears derailleur ( sram / Shimano), hubs ( enviolo/ rolhoff) and Pinion. You’ve ridden them all and. Your friendliness and and willingness to teach is a virtue but I suspect that you’re also attempting to hide expertise that few people share. Keep up the good work ! Btw, eagerly awaiting the delivery of my Stromer St7. Looking forward to that review too.!

      Hey, it’s me again when I talk about in depth, I mean more of a side by side riding experience /feel comparison .
      Specs are nice and useful but don’t tell the whole story. Thanks for taking the time to read these comments !

      Yeah! It's feature complete with fenders, rack, and lights. The drive system is good, nice battery placement (though I'd prefer the charge port to be higher away from the crank arms). Good dealer support since Liv is part of Giant. I think it's just one color, but four frame sizes is nice :)

    Im 5'5" . I dont know which size is convienent for me. M size of the seat tube length is only 43,5cm instead of 48-50cm comparing other models. But for other measurements size M should fit... but Im afraid that it will be too small. In my area i have no chance to see it in real.

    Does the Amiti-E+ 1 have a removable battery like the Liv Rove + does? And can you do a more detailed review of this bike like you did with the Liv Rove +?

      @@sonamincoff442 yes it's removable , a bit less intuitive than the previous gen , the black bits between the fron wheel and the tube it's a cover ( plastic) once you remove it you can access the basttery pack.

      Yeah, it's a nice setup... the price felt decent to me considering the sizes, dealer support, and better warranty here. I've seen a lot of "affordable" online only ebikes in the $2.5k to $3k range so this one is just a little bit more but has nicer specs and you could get fitted, get some free tuneups etc. that could make it worthwhile. The frame is also purpose built, really looks nice and seamless :)

      @@ElectricBikeReview I agree the frame is lovely and blends in well with the rack, adds a really nice line the design of the rack. Wish it had more range but I suppose they sell an extender

      I love speaking with reps and product managers, because they know so much about each bike. Not all of them are even willing to go on camera, and some of them may be a little nervous. I think he did pretty well... but yeah, there's always room for improvement :)

    The idea of a bike specifically built/targeted towards women seems kind of silly to me. I could be wrong.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I believe that women tend to have shorter arms and wider hips. Those factors change sizing a bit, so it could mean that a shorter reach provides a more comfortable position, a bar that isn't as wide, and a saddle that is wider and doesn't need a center cutout to reduce pressure on the prostate. Those kinds of things. Many of them can be achieved by using a unisex or mens frame and swapping the bars, grips, and saddle, but Liv is also choosing colors that are in style for women and probably marketing more directly to them. Bigger companies have the resources and money to do this, while smaller ones may not.

      women have diffferent body morphometrics and need different bike geometries. Non e-bikes have been around in female geometry for years
