  • The Liv Intrigue E+ 1 Pro is a women's specific full suspension electric mountain bike with quality components, excellent warranty and dealer support, and four frame sizes to accommodate riders of all sizes. 11-speed drivetrain with Shimano Deore XT, proprietary Giant SyncDrive Pro mid-drive motor and powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Beautiful color scheme, seamless downtube integration of the battery along with internally routed cabling, simple and intuitive RideControl One system. Battery charging port is in the path of the left crank arm, and charging the battery off the bike requires a separate dongle that could get lost.

So great to see women specific E-bikes! See a lot of women on men's bikes and now that they have wider range of choices, they can dial it in even more than ever. This is something that is really long overdue in the E-bike space for ladies. I think ladies should be given the same options and choices. Well done Giant!

@Ghost RacerX Yeah, you always have to be careful with bike geometry, they are just all over the place. Confusing for the avg consumer IMO! Save our crotch area from potential dangers!

I have an Amit-E that has had nothing but issues since I purchased it in new from my local dealer in 2019, and LIV/Giant is refusing to stand by their warranty. The local dealer, Glacier Cyclery in Whitefish, MT has been incredible in dealing with all of this, and they are as disappointed in Giant as I am. Giant refuses to replace the bike, even though it's spent hours at the dealer's shop in less than a year of ownership, it's had the defective motor replaced, and has ongoing battery and electronic issues that have ruined almost every ride I've taken it on. BEWARE OF GIANT AND LIV BIKES, as they won't stand behind their product when things go wrong.

I have to say that this bike is super fun to ride. before I purchased this bike I tested a bunch of other E bikes and my first choice was the Trance E Pro 1 , however no matter how much we tried I could not get right fit from it. Although this bike is suppose to be for women, being a man I found that with a few minor modification of the seat, stem & handlebars it became a perfect fit for me. I am glad my bike shop recommended this bike for me even though it was a women's specific design bike. I'm having a great time riding it over different types of trails and I have become more confident in my abilities with it. No matter what bike, the fit is everything.

Thanks for the review! I am planning on getting a women's specific mountain bike in 2020 so all the reviews on the women's specific are helpful. I'm considering one with possibly a new 2020 Bosch motor but I did rent this summer a Liv hardtail in Sun Valley which I only road on their transportation bike trail. It was a lot of fun. I do want a full suspension one when I do buy but it was good to spend a couple of hours on the hardtail as a trial run. It sure made me excited about buying one. I do love single track trails but also want to use it for occasional commuting.

Same motor as my Giant Road E+1 Pro, lots of torque and so much fun flying up hills :)

I'm heading to our local bike shop right now with my wife to pick up her Liv. Thanks for the review. It was instrumental in her decision.

That is a nice bike indeed! I like how the battery is inside the down tube but can still be removed. Very nice! How did you like riding without the digital display?

Good question, It felt natural to ride without a display on the trails. I wasn't concerned about running low on battery and have an intuitive sense for power needed... so it's easy to reach over and click up or down to raise or lower assist. The buttons are big and easy to use. I thought it worked pretty well, though I would have enjoyed spending more time with their app :)

    Court,
Could you tell me anything about the Liv
Embolden E+ 2 Power ($3700.) in comparison what is different between it & Liv Intrigue E+ 1 Pro? Wondering if economically the Embolden would perform as well for a little less cost?? Is there any down side to it?

Very nice looking bike. Pricey but nice components.

Yeah! I agree, this is at the upper end of women-specific ebikes and the price reflects it. I really enjoyed checking it out and getting to meet that woman on the trail, to get her feedback about riding a Levo and how she thought this was comparable :D

This vid feels more like a commercial for the manufacturer than Court's usual videos. I hate to see this channel go the way of videos that are thinly veiled sales pitch puffery.

For close to $5,000 dollars you may as well get a Electric Motorcycle or Electric Scooter.

This comes up a lot... you're correct, there are other ways to spend big money. However, you could spend $10k+ on a carbon fiber non-electric mountain bike... and that would buy an even nicer motorcycle or car. The big difference for me is that you don't need insurance or licensing to ride an ebike vs. a motorcycle or car and you can ride on trails like this. This is definitely more of a luxury ebike, but it will last longer and provides an incredible ride for cross country and all mountain terrain :)

Ha! How much fun can you have a scooter on single track? Poor etiquette and unsafe, this is a Mtb for adventure and thrill seakers😎.
I sold my Jeep to buy my latest Mtb, put way more miles on my Mtb then I ever did on my Jeep!
Some of us spend a lot of $ on the sport, we are not bike owners, we are cyclists 🚵‍♀️💪🏽.
Some people pay $3,000.00 on super bowl tickets or spend their weekends on the sofa, I personally think that’s crazy🤪. Different strokes for different folks😇.
