So with the Platinum Plus, they mushed some stuff in from the Limited (wheels, fancier seat covers) and then added back in a bunch of stuff they took away from the 2024 Platinum. Good lord. So glad I got my 24 Platinum. I'm honestly kind of in shock at how much trim-standard stuff they removed, and the price went UP by a grand!
Ford is invisibly removing value from the Super Duty by reducing standard equipment in favor of more optional equipment for an additional price. To make matters worse, they took away Lariat's leather and replaced it with Active X. Also removing the tailgate camera is unthinkable. Disappointing. Still not as disappointing as the 2025 Ram HD though.
Just to clarify, they removed that tailgate down camera on King Ranch and Platinum. They did not remove the rear view camera on the outside of the tailgate.
@@longmcarthurford Doesn't matter...guess I better go get a 2024. I was waiting on the 2025, but having that tailgate down camera believe it or not was one of the things that sold me on the SuperDuty. Sounds like Ford is running off their customers.
Im so happy that ford is pricing most out of the Lariat. Well, really, pricing most out of the superduty all together. So proud of ford. All the big 3 need to fail with no bailout.
Yeah that's actually really messed up. Not so much that they removed them because I know a lot of people said they don't really help all that much (I like em!) but to 1) not have them as an option to add back and 2) of course not reduce the price of the truck are the pain points.
@@SliderFury1 Though I agree to remove them and not reduce the price of the truck for that, and not even have it as an option is messed up, I think just removing them is messed up. First, I like them a lot and find them very useful, but who wouldn't want to see all possible angles? What if a small child or an animal, a pet, wandered back there while you were backing up? We know that happens too easily and too fast and I am not going to accept that the driver would magically see them through some other means.
SOOOOO glad I got my 2024 F450 Plat built sitting at KY right now. Absolutely disgusting what Ford is doing to cut costs by slashing quality/features. I'm glad there are more BAP parts that are going to be available in case I go that route and paint matched parts for mine being Antimatter Blue. I am curious to see what the blue interior of the Platinum
2025 information is not there unless it was added this afternoon. Order Guide reads: "Deleted-Tailgate Down Camera and Rear Park Aid Sensors on top of tailgate"
So it sounds like they are removing a lot standard features from each model. Which is fine, if prices are coming down to reflect that but I'm guessing they aren't going to be doing that ?
My Wife and I are in the market for a New 3/4 to Tow a Airstream. The Deletion of the Keyless Entry Pad as standard and the fact now NO earth tone interior, (like current Carmelo) we are probably going to a GMC Denali. Sorry Ford, it was a pleasure for many years but time to move on.
The King Ranch has a sweet earth tone interior. The keyless entry pad has never been available on a GMC and they’re leaving it off because of Ford Pass app. You can unlock it from your phone without being next to the truck to punch in a code
7:58 Just like my comment about chrome plating, leather is now considered an environmental hazard to create thanks to the chemicals. It is also heavy and to meet CAFE requirements, they are inventing lighter materials. This trend is industry-wide, not just with Ford Super Duty. I don’t agree with this concept, but it’s true. Of course, just like with other automotive equipment, the aftermarket can step in and reupholster your seats in real leather with companies such as KATZKIN.
Thats stupid to not keep the super cab! The xlt needs to have the satelite radio back in and put the smaller headlights on them with the chrome package! My 21 and 22 f350 regular cabs XLT's Have so much more options on them than any of the new ones!!
5:33 The real reason for cutting back on chrome is because it is considered an environmental hazard to create. I don’t agree with this, but this trend started with European car makers and is now slowly spreading to the American market.
Is #Ford destroying the SuperDuty on purpose ? All I'm seeing is eliminating leather on Lariat, eliminating security keypad, eliminating, eliminating, eliminating. What is Ford doing? The 2023 redesign looks terrible & the addition on the #GM bed and bumper steps has ruined the body lines on the SRW. And I don't want to hear about the steps are for the working man. The SuperDuty has been the best selling truck for decades without these foolish looking steps. Looks like Ford is simply maximizing profit : less truck ; more money. More plastic, less metal/aluminum. #Disappointing #Novalue
Word is Caterpillar and John Deere want to start making full size pickup trucks which makes a lot of sense given what Tesla and Rivian have done and presumably Lucid might do one day as well. Already Edison Motors is validating the only hybrid drive logging truck in a direct challenge to both the entire USA extant Class 8 Industry and Tesla as well and something that will great help John Deere which is already in the specialty logging market as is there only competitor which is based in Canada and produces a state of the art product so good time to be picky with the US Automotive Industry at the moment as the only clear winner they have produced in the past 20 Years is the Made in Mexico Ford Maverick with i believe only Ford even offers a hybrid drive pickup truck and certainly no heavy duty truck made in the USA does this. Obviously Caterpillar will not have a problem producing a hybrid drive system for a heavy duty truck application 😊

On the configurator the Platinum, 7.3L, Tremor went from $90K to $92K with similar options.

Why would they remove the power steering wheel adjustment on the Lariat?
Glad I just got my 2024 with the tailgate cameras. I am surprised there is so little discussion about this.

I was really hoping the Marsh Gray from the 2025 F150s would come over. Love that color.
We need to know how to protect our privacy. Information being sold to our insurance company? How do we navigate all of that?
What a stupid decision not to offer a super cab anymore! I guess it’s GM for me.
Ford is turning into a luxury only brand with the prices to match.
Which is ridiculous because they literally already own a luxury brand.
On the Ford website, it is stating that the tailgate down cameras are still there for the King Ranch and Platinum levels.

@@broncobros2022 The App is worthless when there is no cell signal which a lot of truck people on remote trips encounter.
Thinking of purchasing an F450 but doesn't sound like my chances of getting one are good. Last thing I want to do is tie up 1K for a maybe...

Some of those videos on Caterpillar and John Deere are fake.
obnoxious intro music
Glad they're getting away from all the chrome.
Nah, blacked out stuff is played out. Looks like a matchbox truck
