GTO acceleration is very fast and very cool
I can't speak English, so I use Google Translate. I'm sorry if it's hard to understand.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment :)

When you you go through the GTO for weight reduction, remember it has an excessive amount of screws. Way more than necessary especially in the front, and rear bumper.

In True GTO fashion, the brakes cooked in 4 laps. I was tuning my 1rst gen 3000GT VR-4 and managed to boil the brake fluid in short order just doing 1rst and 2nd gear pulls and hauling it down to zero.
What I didn't realize was how quickly the car gathered speed up to 70mph before I shut it down. After about 30 minutes of part throttle and full throttle pulls, the pedal hit the floor and I had to do a quick brake bleed after I let the brakes cool down.
For the speed these cars gather the rotors needed to be 2 inches bigger all the way around and the 4 pot calipers needed to be much larger to help with heat control. I burned the crap out of my leg when I barely touched the left wheel just checking things out when it happened. Learned a serious lesson that day!
Anyways LOVE the vid! The world needs more Mitsubishi GTO content! Hope your buds car got fixed up after the scatter!

      Hey William,
      Thanks for your comment.
100% agree! The brakes are what lets this car down on the circuit. My car is running stock boost and it was plenty quick for this relatively high speed low technical track.
I'm aiming for an EVO X Brembo conversion as they come with 355mm discs with a lot of aftermarket options.
My car has a factory full interior so gains could be made by reducing weight as well from just seats and carbon bonnet I feel.
Please do like, subscribe and share this content so we can increase awareness of these cars :)

@@paologarcia8541 Thats great man! Look forward to seeing more of your content. On the topic of weight reduction, I would leave it be man, the GTO is a beautiful classic and yours is impeccable. Doing the weight reduction will do a disservice to such a wonderful classic. Leave that to the guys that have worthless cars.
Do the brakes, I highly recommend doing stainless braided steel lines as well, they made a huge difference in pedal feel on my car. Can't wait to see your build progress! Once you get the brakes on it I'd like to see you do another track day video to see the improvement. Cheers my friend! ✌🏾

The R32, R33 GTR also had an overheating problem when racing.

Man the heads non the 30 M, it is doch heads, without mivec valve..probably it was mivec just then that car was built, but after I guess engine die and it was swaped on 6g72 doch. I know what I am talking about, I had that car for four years. In fact I builded it by myself and I knew HOW mivec 6g72 is looked.. another heads, taller than just simple doch heads.

Besides all mivec engines had a special aluminum card on the front head
