My father has one, it's a 1964 model year. Done head gaskets twice on it. Damn head weighs as much as a VW bug. Finally broke down and had Southworth-Milton in Hopkinton, NH, rebuild the engine.
Old cat engines are tough. Pulled a engine from an old 200 cat excavator one time. It ran fine but was smoking bad. Brought it to an old mechanic , when he pulled it apart it was blocked with sludge bad!! Old guy said if was any other engine it would have died years ago

That lift boom looks to have been rigged up to gain extra height. Never seen one from the factory that way.
I worked for an egg farm in Connecticut we used these type of loaders to clean the coops Really tough machine
That thing will be able to do some work once its back together. Hope to see it running soon.
Air compressor for brakes. No a.c. back then except maybe a fan and the doors open.
