Great video boss, that super 8.8 12 bolt is so hard to find gaskets for! I'm in Germany and I'm gonna run a German brand of 75w85 hypoid full synthetic. Fun fact Motorcraft “Premium synthetic” actually means Synthetic Blend 🙈😢. Not sure why they mislead people like that. Next time you should go with the royal purple 75w90 full synthetic or Amsoil 75w90. It really is a superior product. The initial change is very important glad to see you knocking it out!

Last time dealer charged me $200 just sucking the fluid out. I know how to do it since I did on my Jeep Wrangler long time before. Just being lazy. I recently got an upgraded OEM cover and bought LubeLocker seal. Mine is 4 years old F150 XLT but it already has lots of rust on the mating surface. I used 600 sand paper to smooth them out. Eventually no leaks. For future diff service, I don't have to deal with the cover. Nice video!

Thanks for the informative video! I like to do thorough research before I dive into new territory, and this was a big help.
    Nice job!

Also the manual mentioned 2.6L fluid capacity and I used measuring cup to make sure I put the right amount.

Thanks very much! I have another video posted where I talk in depth about the gasket if you'd like to check it out. It's a Mag Hytec gasket for the super 8.8 rear differential. Lube Locker makes them exclusively for Mag Hytec and they're the only company out there that I've found the sells one. Hope that helps!

damn. sick guy. good video. i assume it would be very similar on a 2022 f150?

I would think so. Just check your owner's manual to see what is the fluid capacity so that no overfill or underfill.
