"...and they do a valve check and it's about $1300, and that's not bad at all..." OK Rick, if you're made of money it might be considered "not bad at all" LOL!
well for my cbr1000rr it's not much less, maybe a couple hundred less. However, I have never had a valve check done on any bike because I sell it before it's due for a valve check. lol Another reason why I'm gettng a 2 stroke, NO VALVES TO CHECK! Unlike the KTM 500 exc with 15 hour valve checks.
CycleCruza damn I didn't know it was that expenssive for a litter bike too. I have a 94 Magna I guess because it is old it doesn't cost as much to do that.
My first bike was a 2000 Ducati Monster 900ie. After I put 6k miles on it I needed to take it in for service, adjust valves etc... it was going to cost $2300. I sold the bike 3 weeks later.
My Kawasaki service bill $30 bucks for motor oil. Zero recalls ever for second gen Ninja 650s and I do all my own service except tires and soon I'll get a tire mount and balance kit. Cancel beta and get Zero electric super Moto. It's five year warranty battery, showa dirtbike suspension, no oil change or valves, no moving parts to repair.
Battery dies quick on a electric motorcycle compared to the range you get with a gas motorcycle. Also, the more you use the battery the less charge it will hold over time and to replace a battery on an electric motorcycle is not cheap. If you get stuck out in the woods with a dead battery you are shit out luck as where a gas motorcycle you can siphon gas from another bike or have someone go and get gas and you are on your way.
You could do your own on a Duc too. You could use cheap oil in the Duc too. You still need to change oil filter, air filter, brake fluid, coolant, bearing grease, and fork oil just like a Duc. If you take it to a Kaw dealer, it will cost you the same per hour to do that stuff. Electric bikes are fine for commuting, but if you're into day long rides and touring, they ain't gonna cut it. They will still need the fork service and belt/chain adjustments. Electric motor will likely require bearing service too as it's not running in an oil bath. Notice how your phone batteries require more and more charging as they age? Gonna happen on the bikes too.
Yes - once upon a time. I think you will find that every year those issues are better addressed. Check out the latest ranges and life expectancy of the batteries and you may be surprised. You are still probably better off waiting another year for more tech and for prices to drop but this year I believe they have finally become viable.
Andrew: That's nice to know. I'll look into it further. I don't have a smartphone, but I know my wife's batteries last a couple years before they need to be replaced due to frequent recharging. I've seen they are now making phones without replaceable batteries, so when they go dead, there goes your $800 phone. For now, I'll just buy her batteries every couple years. But that brings up another point. Who are these weenies buying $800 throw away phones (to say nothing of the hundred dollar plus monthly data plans) and complaining about spending a few hundred bucks to ride five thousand miles? If one values riding so little, why bother?
1300 is dirt cheap for a desmo service. My nearest Ducati dealer wants 1800 for the 18000mi desmo service. As much as I ride, I would be dropping that every 18 months or so. Hence why I am passing on the new Multistrada 1260.
I did synthetic oil and filter change, break fluid and break pads and only cost me $15. But of course, I only have a 150cc sports motorcycle. Am I too cheap?
wrong. Your first bill did not include a valve adjustment. the 1st valve adjustment can cost you more than $4000.. because of the cost of valve adjustments. What usually happens or actually what doesn’t happen is valve adjustments. I have a friend that has earned several Ducati‘s over the years. He has never had a valve adjustment on any of them. He just sells them before they need that adjustment.. They also didn’t do the timing belt replacement in your first service, which sounds like it was not much more than changing your fluids and checking your air pressure in your tires.. that is not a full service. A full service is checking the valves, replacing the belt, and then synchronizing the throttlebody‘s after the valves have been adjusted.. One question.. do Ducati’s i still come with Fly Wings embedded in the paint??
It's an OK price at the upper range in today's market. But did they actually charge you for the brake bleed? Or did they bury it under annual checkup because it's a known but unacknowledged issue? I like the openness of your channel. Keep it up.
If that belt breaks, just get a serpentine belt from Autozone for $18. Bring the broke belt with you so they can match it up. I'm guessing a 1994 Silverado truck belt is the same length, and they last forever!
Not. You can get an emergency belt. Install it on the side of the road because it is able to be spliced together. Some kits to splice the broken belt also for emergency repair.
This with the Services counts for all Bikes under Warenty. If a BMW s1000 RR show you the Lamp for Service and you go to ignore all Time the Bike shut down and you have to take to BMW to make the Service and make running again.
Oil changes are like every 8k miles on this bike. I have two other bikes and ride them equally. Unfortunately, some of us have to work and can't ride all day long every day. Also, I live in Ohio where winter keeps you from riding most days. In the winter, I'm lucky to get out twice a month.
interesting oil changes every 8k miles while suzuki recommends i replace the spark plugs on my hayabusa every 7500 miles.... and 3000-3500 oil change intervals.
Hi brother, glad you have your Ducati, I know you are keeping us inform of your experiences, but I would like to make a constructive observation, you have been talking about the same thing on your videos and you keep repeating your self. I know that there is not a lot of riding cause the weather, but very time I watch a video is sound like a broken record. I don't mean any disrespect, just my observation. Have a great day and be safe brother
Guys I'm referring that for example in the past few videos CC always talk about the belt and what he will do if it's snaps and it has to repair it and so on. I know CC wants to share his thoughts and experiences with us, I thought maybe he didn't realize he is been doing it. I apologize if my comment offend it you CC and to all fallow riders. I was just and observation.
I purchased a V4. My dealer told me to bring it in around 13k miles and they will take it as a trade in + the cost of the desmo service and hook me up with a brand new model.
What are you doing to get that price for full coverage on a bike? I ave a 2013 r6 and it costs me about 1100 per year. I've never had a ticket or accident or anything in my life.... send help.
Sounds like a lot but I don't think it should be considered just an oil change. Isn't it required service at certain interval that they are doing including oil change? That sounds about right. I think you could do it yourself for a little more than the cost of oil but if you were working at a job doing something else and could have made $200 instead of working on the bike it's basically a wash. If your off work your off time is more valuable than your work time. If you like working on it that's part of your hobby.
Did you get the Owners manual with this Bike? It should have all that service info and tool list for DIY and save on parts and service... I'm mechanical and would do that myself and save on labor...
@@CycleCruza Guys, whoever is reading this, please get educated. You don't have to do all service at the dealership to keep your MC under warranty. Cyclecruza, you should read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Thx. Cc.. When do u record these videos? Cleveland has had snow for a few months.. just melted now.. do u pre record a whole bunch before winter and snow and post throughout winter? Thx brother .. keep it up
I still can't wrap my head around how cheap it is to own & maintain a Ducati in the USA! And the insurance rate is unbelievable! I'm glad you actually you chose the xDiavel & share the experience with all of us, CC!
I'm wondering what's taking so long for Japanese moto makers to start producing Diavel-esque bikes. Most of them already produce V-twins so why not stick them in muscle bodies and VOILA?
insurance costs are higher on bikes with fairings because it costs more to fix. Buy a panigale and insurance will be more than the cbr one thousand double r. The same applies for servicing really, labor is the big cost when they spend an extra hour pulling fairings and bits off.
Not true. State Farm quoted me like $300 a year on a brand new Ducati 1299. The reason it's cheaper is because less people have it and less people crash them, unlike the Japanese supersports and superbikes.
A service manual purchase is the first thing I do when a new bike is purchased. Much of the services you can do correctly yourself if you are smart enough to read. Maybe a few special tools here and there ..get your feet wet and don’t let these high tech machines intimidate you. Heck who knows might turn you into a real biker someday.
I said the same thing until I owned a DUCATI DIAVEL CARBON BLACK, it is a bitch to get the body work off and not break it or lose the screws and grommet things, putting that back on is even more fun and its a time consuming thing ,they never seem to be put back as well as factory ever again. The timing belts are not tension ed by a belt tension-er like a Chevrolet motor, they are tightened to a specific MHZ like you tune a guitar electronically !! to a specific MHZ !! You need a darned oscilloscope device to tighten the cam drive belts, The DESMO tune requires an assortment of shims to get exact and the kit is not cheap and doing it wrong is a definite possibility! Ducati's computer that runs for over an hour analyzing the bike and flashing updates etc, nothing on these bikes is easy to do.
Cool, I thought only Pirelli made the tire for the xdiavel. Good to know, however, I've only had bad luck with Michelin tires in the past, kept picking up nails and screws in the road. I've had good luck with Pirelli tires.
I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences with Michelin, liked the Perellis but they wore out quick comparatively. only tires I have ever had issues with are a set of Bridgestone Batlax that were stock on my FZ6, Triumph Sprint and the stock Dunlops on my Africa Twin.
Hey CycleCruza!! I'm James from Pony Powersports, (I'm the guy who got super pumped when I found out it was you lol) are you getting the Beta through Iron Pony in Westerville?
I thought Full Coverage on Motorcycles was a no-no. If you drop a bike you can replace plastics cheaper than the full coverage insurance. If the wreck is bad enough to make an insurance claim your bike is probably totaled. Don’t remember where I heard this.
Please get the aftermarket exhaust on the Ducati. Ask Ducati what exhaust they acept so you do not loose you warranty. Would love to see it with better sound
Don't forget insurance company's will discount for milege ...I only put 6k a year on my own personal truck and I saved money because of it. Just by talking to my agent. It was insured for about12k. Miles a year. I saved 15 or 20 percent I can't remember. State farm.
A non-ducati dealer out west. That dealer picked it up at an auction, the previous owner filed bankruptcy and turned his bike as a part of his bankruptcy. The previous owner had all work done at the ducati dealer. It was a great deal.
The fine print? Lol, read the magnuson-moss-warranty-act...it clearly defines the things most people are either told or think violates warranty does in fact NOT avoid your warranty...like doing your own maintenance
People can do what they want but for me I see it as a safe guard. This is an annual service where they not only do an oil change and oil filter and fluids change but they check the bike and tighten bolts and make sure everything is good. If I do it I have to video record my work for proof and even then they can question the quality of my work.
In ohio, we cannot ride as much because of the bad weather in the winter, so rates are much cheaper. Also, if you are under age 25 you will pay a lot more!
Just wanted to note that they charged you $26.25 in labor to pour a little brake fluid in the reservoir., and 1 1/2 hours of labor totaling $157.50 to perform an oil change that took them 15 minutes. I would not be okay paying this, personally.
@@CycleCruza Yes, 80% of the tasks listed in a DESMO service is "checking" X or Y or Z, and very often later it lists "replace" X and Y and Z Such as brake fluid, engine oil, filters, all being replaced so checking them is silly and checking them means looking at it and saying humm ok.checked,...
Living in Michigan, we get fucked with insurance. I have not been in an accident, my deductible is $500 and I got a quote for $611/6 months for a 2017 Super Duke R. My 2014 Valkyrie costs about $300 every 6 months. Michigan is a joke. Plus, I think our registration recently went up 20%. I'm looking forward to leaving Michigan.
CycleCruza I believe Michigan has some of the highest insurance rates in the country, if not the highest. I think "no-fault" insurance is part of the problem here. I'm 32 and my wife is 35. I got her into riding her own bike last Spring and she LOVES it. We are going to take trips and take note of places we'd like to live eventually. I watched your video on leaving Ohio and I can completely relate. Winter is too long. I bought a DR650 (my first dual sport)last year so I could ride into December and I can start riding in March, provided I dress appropriately. I still want to live somewhere else.
Eric Voet Yes it is. When CC stated his insurance I couldn't believe it. I would LOVE to have those rates. I also got a quote for a new, leftover 2016 Thruxton 1200 (not the R) and that was still over $500 every 6 months. I'm sure it's quick but come on......
I damn near fell out my seat $200 for full coverage for a year! I'm in Michigan and I was quoted over a $1000 for full coverag for a year fml and I have two bikes.
CycleCruza thank you brother. Been looking to trade my ninja 250 for one after I have it for a year or so. Keep up the content, you got me into riding.
This is good af My dream this price Here on brazil a xdiavel costs 75.000, a oil change its about 2500 And the basic salary its arround 950 And we have a lot of stoles And shit roads Here who has a old 600 cc is rich
My first tank I got only like 30 mpg. I think like 130 miles for a tank. It's probably because of the winter shit they put in the fuel here in Ohio to keep the fuel from freezing, gets worst fuel mileage.
I can't imagine owing a bike that I could not do all my own service and maintenance on. That includes tire changes, belts, chains, valves, anything mechanical. I am not into vehicle electronics, but I don't own any bikes with electronics. It is against the law for a manufacturer to require you to have them do service to keep the warranty good. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act was created to prevent manufacturers and dealers form pulling scams like that. Unfortunately, on new computer controlled vehicles, replacing a stock part with an aftermarket part, which to me is part of the enjoyment of owning a motor vehicle, they can void the warranty. I have 6 bikes, all of them are out of warranty, and all of them have modifications that would void the warranty on a new bike. Installing an aftermarket air cleaner, and or exhaust, and using an electronic tuner to tune the computer to work with the new parts is enough to void the warranty. Just one more reason I will not be buying any more new bikes. There are a lot of nice non computer carbureted bikes out there on the used market. And usually for great prices as well.
Well that’s not the bikes FIRST service, which I assume is where the money bags really come from. I would think the services after that, aren’t all that expensive. You are at 18,000 miles, so if it was anything more, then I’d be concerned.
Fuck. Your insurance is cheap af. I though mine was pretty good but what you pay a year for your Ducati I pay every quarter for mine in NJ. I got gap coverage too.
$1300 sounds like a lot but it's at 18,000 miles and with multiple bikes and selling it in a couple years you may never reach it. And if so still not bad if it includes other services. You will never need the warranty you bought within it's term, however. $1000 down the drain, there.
First service bill from Harley would have been $262.89 if I hadn't done the work myself. But mine was used and long out of warranted period. Your bike is fine, but work on it will eat you alive!
Hey cyclecruza, I love your vids and I learn a lot from them, but is it possible if you could do a review on a Harley Davidson 750 night rod. I recently brought it, and I still would like to know if there's some upgrades or futures that I don't know about it and I could do to it. I would truly appreciate it. Thanks. And awesome vids. Love your honesty.
You will not get 5-7K miles out of the rear tyre! With a tyre costing $180 why would it cost up to $400 to get it supplied and fitted. Really $220 to take the wheel off and fit the tyre I don't think so. You have the stand and all you need is a 55mm socket to undo the centre nut to get the wheel off! You do not need to take the bike to a Ducati dealer to do this simple task. Also Michelin make the rear tyre as well. You really do need to get your facts right before you post to all
Not bad to be fair, Rick. Thought they’d be charging more than that! Looking forward to seeing the new bike. Like it a lot. ✌🏼 Have a peaceful evening.
I’m with you. When dealing with high end cars or bikes, when the warranty is up time to go because it’ can get expensive. Thanks for sharing your experience. 👍🏼👍🏼

What insurance company do you use ?
CycleCruza hey man let's get more van vids. I just picked up a 17 leftover express extended cargo van and I'm in the process of making it stealth.
Kyle Meyer progressive thinking about checking out some other places
CycleCruza what was your warranty? 36 month or how many miles???
"...and they do a valve check and it's about $1300, and that's not bad at all..." OK Rick, if you're made of money it might be considered "not bad at all" LOL!

It cheap for him because he don't ride his bike daily........ If it ur daily transport.... It going to be super expensive

lol I have never had a motorcycle get the valves done, I always sell it before it's due for a valve check. lol
So 300 for an oil change?
It's only $75 a liter.
yes only $300. peanuts really.
I will do all of the work on my Beta, even the top end rebuild when it's time! Much cheaper!
Pasta la vista
And a brake bleed and the general first service checks. 1.5 hours at $100. Standard for any bike these days.
Do you people all work for free?
My Kawasaki service bill $30 bucks for motor oil. Zero recalls ever for second gen Ninja 650s and I do all my own service except tires and soon I'll get a tire mount and balance kit. Cancel beta and get Zero electric super Moto. It's five year warranty battery, showa dirtbike suspension, no oil change or valves, no moving parts to repair.
ItsVash he wants a 2 stroke . What do you not understand about that?
Would you still get a Ducati Diavel today?
I did synthetic oil and filter change, break fluid and break pads and only cost me $15. But of course, I only have a 150cc sports motorcycle. Am I too cheap?
For my 2007 1098s first service at 7,500 I spent about $500 that was tools and supplies. About 2 days of work since I didn’t get out of work till 6pm.
Keep it up.
$1300 for a service! That's what I paid for my Honda ST1100 3 years ago and it's still running just fine.
If that belt breaks, just get a serpentine belt from Autozone for $18. Bring the broke belt with you so they can match it up. I'm guessing a 1994 Silverado truck belt is the same length, and they last forever!
very funny, the auxiliary gear on a 94 chevy probably does use about 150 hp. sounds about right for GM garbage.
Not.
You can get an emergency belt. Install it on the side of the road because it is able to be spliced together.
Some kits to splice the broken belt also for emergency repair.
This with the Services counts for all Bikes under Warenty. If a BMW s1000 RR show you the Lamp for Service and you go to ignore all Time the Bike shut down and you have to take to BMW to make the Service and make running again.
so you plan on changing the oil once a year? interesting what kind of riding do you do? rides around the block then back in the garage?
This is my first bill from Ducati, how could I have talked about something I never had in the past?
Markus Zx6r illuminati confirmed!
I've never had a ticket or accident or anything in my life.... send help.
Not a terrible bill. Why didn’t you change your own fluids? Just curious.
They also do other checks, tighten bolts and also reset the security code at no charge, It's a tax deduction anyways.
David Phillips good point you didn't by Chance ever own a 200x three-wheeler did you?
Eric Voet
Nope
Read up on the magnusson-moss warranty act. It shouldnt void your warranty doing basic maintenance on your bike.
Eh It's a tax deduction anyways and it looks good that I had all work done at Ducati when I go to sell it. Dealer maintained!
Cycle cruza I'm a training technician myself do I have to talk my Ducati bike to the dealership or can work on it myself
My Diavel's 15k Desmo was $3,175.00 , $2,222.00 for the Desmo service, $650 for chain and sprockets, $220,00 for a battery.
Dude 1300 for a valve check is outrageous! Like 300% too much.
Did you get the Owners manual with this Bike? It should have all that service info and tool list for DIY and save on parts and service... I'm mechanical and would do that myself and save on labor...
To stay within the warranty, you have to have a Ducati service center do all work.
Did you get a deal on Service and Parts costs or did you have to pay for all?
The rear tire size is rare but Perelli, Michelin and Bridgestone make great tires in the size.
Why no Multistrada?
I'm wondering what's taking so long for Japanese moto makers to start producing Diavel-esque bikes. Most of them already produce V-twins so why not stick them in muscle bodies and VOILA?
insurance costs are higher on bikes with fairings because it costs more to fix. Buy a panigale and insurance will be more than the cbr one thousand double r. The same applies for servicing really, labor is the big cost when they spend an extra hour pulling fairings and bits off.
Not true. State Farm quoted me like $300 a year on a brand new Ducati 1299. The reason it's cheaper is because less people have it and less people crash them, unlike the Japanese supersports and superbikes.
what was the problem with the rear brake?
Fix the brake clip for front... and didn't you have back break issues?
A service manual purchase is the first thing I do when a new bike is purchased. Much of the services you can do correctly yourself if you are smart enough to read. Maybe a few special tools here and there ..get your feet wet and don’t let these high tech machines intimidate you. Heck who knows might turn you into a real biker someday.
I believe with the xdiavel you have to dissemble half of the bike. The hardest is getting to the valves...
Michelin makes a 240 cross section tire for the Diavel. having had both Perelli and Michelin on my 2012 Diavel the Michelin is better in my opinion.
How about a mv agusta motorcycle for your next bike when you sell your x diavel s?
Hey CycleCruza!! I'm James from Pony Powersports, (I'm the guy who got super pumped when I found out it was you lol) are you getting the Beta through Iron Pony in Westerville?
I thought Full Coverage on Motorcycles was a no-no. If you drop a bike you can replace plastics cheaper than the full coverage insurance. If the wreck is bad enough to make an insurance claim your bike is probably totaled. Don’t remember where I heard this.
FYI - New Video: Why I will NEVER BUY another Ducati Again: th-cam.com/video/5wzjtLMwdUE/w-d-xo.html
what do you have in the frig or freezer!??
Please get the aftermarket exhaust on the Ducati. Ask Ducati what exhaust they acept so you do not loose you warranty. Would love to see it with better sound
How much was the first service bro I bought new Ducati monster 2019 gonna do 600 miles service next week
Don't forget insurance company's will discount for milege ...I only put 6k a year on my own personal truck and I saved money because of it. Just by talking to my agent. It was insured for about12k. Miles a year. I saved 15 or 20 percent I can't remember. State farm.
Nice honest review with prices. Thanks
Did you buy the Xdiavel S from a private seller or a dealer?
A non-ducati dealer out west. That dealer picked it up at an auction, the previous owner filed bankruptcy and turned his bike as a part of his bankruptcy. The previous owner had all work done at the ducati dealer. It was a great deal.
What kind a insurance you have?.. if i may ask ?
You can check the valves clearances. They would never even know you did it. Probably take an hour.
I have the same Harbor Freight 4 drawer tool chest.
I cant wait for you to start work on the beta. I'm so excited to see you on a 2smoke super moto.
me too! It's going to be sick. I'm getting some sick custom red supermoto wheels.
CycleCruza nice color choice. How much longer until the beta arrives?
CycleCruza (sick) is Ralph going to come to visit 😂
The fine print? Lol, read the magnuson-moss-warranty-act...it clearly defines the things most people are either told or think violates warranty does in fact NOT avoid your warranty...like doing your own maintenance
People can do what they want but for me I see it as a safe guard. This is an annual service where they not only do an oil change and oil filter and fluids change but they check the bike and tighten bolts and make sure everything is good. If I do it I have to video record my work for proof and even then they can question the quality of my work.
Who do you insure with I'm currently looking at a few bike and I'm getting quotes of $138 a month for full coverage
In ohio, we cannot ride as much because of the bad weather in the winter, so rates are much cheaper. Also, if you are under age 25 you will pay a lot more!
State Farm
Just wanted to note that they charged you $26.25 in labor to pour a little brake fluid in the reservoir., and 1 1/2 hours of labor totaling $157.50 to perform an oil change that took them 15 minutes. I would not be okay paying this, personally.
Also included is checking the bike and tightening bolts. It's their annual maintenance service.
Fair enough. I'm just too cheap to pay someone $105 an hour for something I'm able to do myself.
@@CycleCruza Yes, 80% of the tasks listed in a DESMO service is "checking" X or Y or Z, and very often later it lists "replace" X and Y and Z
Such as brake fluid, engine oil, filters, all being replaced so checking them is silly and checking them means looking at it and saying humm ok.checked,...
@@Roadstar1602 Try $150.000 per hour . $105 would be the family rate.
Id leave too! Dang! You can only ride half of the year in MI, insurance shouldn't be that high UNLESS you are under age 25?
CycleCruza I believe Michigan has some of the highest insurance rates in the country, if not the highest. I think "no-fault" insurance is part of the problem here.
I'm 32 and my wife is 35. I got her into riding her own bike last Spring and she LOVES it. We are going to take trips and take note of places we'd like to live eventually. I watched your video on leaving Ohio and I can completely relate. Winter is too long. I bought a DR650 (my first dual sport)last year so I could ride into December and I can start riding in March, provided I dress appropriately. I still want to live somewhere else.
Scott K. I hear you man it's fucking bullshit
Scott K. I think I'm going to check out State Farm like he suggested?
Hell, that service was cheaper than mine on my V6 Cavalier ten years ago!!!
😂😂😂🙏🏿
It cost cheeper than Iron 883 for fist maintenance. I paid 350 dolars.
Does the warranty not cover the belt and belt mechanism?
Ur Nan nope
no but the belt will be ok
What motorcycle insurance company you have?
Why do you have to pronounce the entire name of the bike you're talking about when we already know which one you're referring to?
Because it sounds cool when there's a 'rr' at the end.
I damn near fell out my seat $200 for full coverage for a year! I'm in Michigan and I was quoted over a $1000 for full coverag for a year fml and I have two bikes.
dang!
My 18,000 mile service was $2,000. I put about 9,000 plus miles a year in Ohio.
Wow less than 300 Insurance . full cover here in florida just over $1000 for my ninja 300 :(
FYI - *New Video: 5 Reasons I Sold My Ducati:* th-cam.com/video/V0rjxZT-dco/w-d-xo.html
The repair and maintenance costs are WHY people who don't have tons of money don't buy Ducati.
So to you a 1300 dollar valve check is no biggie for you and Im trying to come up with 400 dollars for my valve check. Talk about rich
Anyone know how the dr200 is as a everyday commuter, main roads only?
I don't see why not! Dual sports are great commuters and cheap to own.
CycleCruza thank you brother. Been looking to trade my ninja 250 for one after I have it for a year or so. Keep up the content, you got me into riding.
Cc, what is the full coverage exactly?
400 dollars a year wtf! I pay $1600 a year for my zx10r for full coverage. How do u get it so cheap?
RANDOMOTORIDEZ I'm wondering the same thing
Valve check for the total price of my used CBR600 F4... NOT BADDDD. Same price my pal got his CB750 Café with Ohlins and new parts.

This is good af
My dream this price
Here on brazil a xdiavel costs 75.000, a oil change its about 2500
And the basic salary its arround 950
And we have a lot of stoles
And shit roads
Here who has a old 600 cc is rich
India is also
Cruizer fix the damn breaks, im sure their is belt upgrade elsewhere cheaper, spare up.seems perfect for a middle aged man, that enjoys torque.
Does the exhaust burn ur ass off?
How far can you go on a tank on the duc
My first tank I got only like 30 mpg. I think like 130 miles for a tank. It's probably because of the winter shit they put in the fuel here in Ohio to keep the fuel from freezing, gets worst fuel mileage.
they wanted 6k a year to insure my 2016 R6 with full coverage, im 20 and have a clean record
I wouldn’t be able to afford rear tires I go through about 4 a summer blows my mind
40 bucks in parts. Not bad price gouging. Figure about 230.00 a hour for the rest.
I wish my insurance was that cheap. I pay about 260 a month for half a year. About 2k a year
😲 $1,300.00 for a valve check.....Man
Jimmy Sakura Gakuin Fan that is so true!
@Jimmy Sakura Gakuin Fan yep. Just like oild changes not doing shit to peoples cars at all!
Go to Ducati tool rent , get his valve adjustment kit ! Do the valves yourself !!!!😎😎😎😎
Wait....it costs $150 for labor to change a single motorcycle tire in America? It costs $10 for both where I am from....
That's a lot just for fluids. It would have cost me only $60 to do that on a Japanese bike
Quang Lam. My sportster costs that much to change the oil, but thats every 4000 miles.
@@cafenightster4548 Sprsters have hydraulic valves which require zero adjusting EVER ! Boy do I miss my old Buell.
Fuck. Your insurance is cheap af. I though mine was pretty good but what you pay a year for your Ducati I pay every quarter for mine in NJ. I got gap coverage too.
Why dont just do it yourself? Its not hard to change some brake fluid, oil, filters and hydraulic clutch fluid.
Try it on a Diavel, it is not a 1978 KZ 650.
Im currently paying $384.00 a month full cover here in nyc wtf how is that even possible
Suzuki gsx-s 750 2016
nyc...
I do this all on my own and save the labour costs.
$1300 sounds like a lot but it's at 18,000 miles and with multiple bikes and selling it in a couple years you may never reach it. And if so still not bad if it includes other services. You will never need the warranty you bought within it's term, however. $1000 down the drain, there.
Can you put a price on the smiles per gallon? I see you enjoying it till it dies... Or unless the belt snaps☺
OK, so the desmo valve train is tricky. But $1,300 for a valve clearance job is absurd.
First service bill from Harley would have been $262.89 if I hadn't done the work myself. But mine was used and long out of warranted period. Your bike is fine, but work on it will eat you alive!
I know you got great deal. You need compare Apple to Apple you bought used and the new one is absolutely nicer to have less problem.
Hey cyclecruza,
I love your vids and I learn a lot from them, but is it possible if you could do a review on a Harley Davidson 750 night rod.
Yeah not bad a all. I can't wait to get the 300rr!!!
My girlfriend had a Ducati 848 evo. Every 12.000 km service cost $1500. She sold it.
"living debt free is freedom" nice 👍🏾
Hey who do you have for insurance
State Farm
I’m with you. When dealing with high end cars or bikes, when the warranty is up time to go because it’ can get expensive. Thanks for sharing your experience. 👍🏼👍🏼
That's the same as my light bill.
Insurance rates VARY BIG TIME, state to state!!!!!
