    I have admired aerial for many years and I am just now starting to become healthier and stronger and feel a little more confident to try, I also have literally wanted to join the circus and become a street artist for as long as I can remember so I think it can be good for my confidence as well as i simple love knowing random things to do ☺

      Hi Amanda, I never thought I would want to do anything remotely related to circus. I was the most inactive city girl you can imagine. But the more I keep going, the more I discover about myself and what I can do. Physical training is hard on the mind, but it definitely gives a lot of positive feedback to my every day life! Hope you will find your way too!

    For me aerial dance is about having fun and learning new tricks. I do gymnastics but I go to a club and I often beat myself up when I can't do something and I've really started to dislike it now, but im self taught in aerial arts so there is no competition and I never get upset when I can't do something. I strongly recommend doing aerial it's so fun and freeing.

    Hello! I have to thank you for your videos. I have been self learning the silk/sling the passed 6 months and this channel is very helpful. I am trying to find a Lyra to add to my practice. I am looking for advise as to which type to purchase. I am leaning towards a tabless because it seems more universal. Any input would be appreciated!!

    Here are my question: what age can I start doing this? What is your recommendation for the equipment you told us that we can use which one is easier to start and the safest? Where do I find a trainer for aerial dancing?I really want to try this I love moving around and I want to work on my flexibility 🥺❤️ thanks for the information☺️

    • @aerialpractice
      @aerialpractice  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any age! You just need the right instructor to help you get started because our bodies have diffierent needs at different ages. It's hard to know what you need unless you are used to physical training.
      There isn't one set and stone recommendation on equipment, again what you need depends on what you want to do and where you are doing them. You will need someone professional to help you decide whats the safest.
      Where are you located? I have tried lessons in Hong Kong, Netherlands, Poalnd, germany ,etc.. Not too hard to find someone local if you look for it=)

    There are is a huge selection of options when It comes to silks how did you pick out a certain set that fit your needs for aerial practice? What sort of stretch did you start out on as a beginner with ?

    • @aerialpractice
      @aerialpractice  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find that there aren't that many options to buy silks for aerial silks or aerial hammock practice. I feel the more difficult part is to pick the vendor - many selling basically similar items but the quality varies a lot. I started off with low stretch and i still prefer low stretch simply because it works best for what I do.
      I always start by picking the vendor, length, and color.

    Is there also safety precautions for apartment living, as far as set up goes?

    • @princessclaya2
      @princessclaya2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say know the rules of your building. Because I know some apartment people may not want you to damage there ceiling. As well as knowing if there are good at holding up someone’s weight ( there is also force from some of these moves so it’s not just weight ) if you get the ok from the apartment people you may want to ask questions to see if you will be safe while practicing.as well as your ceiling texture. But to skip all of the human interaction you could go the safest route and buy a aerial rig.

    • @aerialpractice
      @aerialpractice  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree with Yuno! My gear was my first consideration when I was searching for an apartment. I am lucky to find a landlord that supports it. Not every ceiling is capable of holding weight, not every set is the same. Best to find someone who knows about rigging to inspect and install for you! Hope it helps!

    • @aerialpractice

      Depends on who you speak to. A lot of aerial dancers have a background in pole or also do pole. I personally feel the knowledge is transferable but relying on a dynamic fabric feels totally different than a static pole.
