- Hi Friends! Today we're FINALLY going to be transforming my rental kitchen to achieve my biggest ever kitchen makeover + dining room makeover! I'm going to be upgrading my countertops using marble contact paper, doing diy backsplash, making a dining table, hanging rental friendly pendant lights, and SO MUCH MORE! I often question why room decorating takes me ages to complete and this video just reminded me why. I basically can't not DIY something for every spot in my home. I love how my diy kitchen makeover turned out and I can't believe I achieved my dream aesthetic in a rental. Hope you like this video and feel a bit inspired!!!

The DIYs within the DIY is giving life. The light fixture situation and the stools!? Genius. Love the board and batten - such a cute touch, and the dining room table!? Again. Freaking genius! Wasn’t sure I was going to like the arch wall but I’m impressed. The whole face lift is so cohesive. Beautifully done!!

I was a little confused with it. It’s not really electrically attached, correct? Because of the battery powered remote controlled “light bulbs”, right? But then why spend on the electrical hanging part, I thought I saw her cut it for length she wanted, then I didn’t see her attach it anyway. Unless I missed something. I tried to look in the description box for a more detailed video, but only found one for the dining boho lamp shade.
@@sabrinalopez9990 she just had a few spare cables which she used as a rope for the bulbs. Yes, those are real wires. No, they are not connected to the circuit.

You are living my dream!! I went on an Amazon spree beginning of Covid and I too bought the marble contact paper and the adhesive backsplash just like the one you bought. I’m sad that once I covered my counter tops and was almost done putting my backsplash on, I discovered a leak behind my oven and it turned into a long process of my apartment fixing the water leak. They ended up having to demolish the counters and cabinets because the leak turned out to be underground…. Such a nightmare and I haven’t even tried to pick up any DIYs for my apartment ever since. 😭

It works really good.. I've used it an year ago on our countertop and it's still looking wonderful as it was an year ago.

I used the same brand purchased from Amazon. Its been a year and still loving them. Very thick good quality. Just avoid heat

@@deeatkinson6612 oh its fine... i wrapped all the way up to the cooktop edge. Just make sure you use a trivet wherever you place something hot. My husband says it look mickey mouse in terms of the wrapping itself bc i had alot of counter with curves to cover and didnt want to waste any, but he agreed it was still better than our ugly and busy black/brown granite. Also i recently covered my mom's 3x3 (?) tiles and she loves it despite the dips of the contact paper in the grout lines.
Has long nails but can do those DIYs amazingly. Bravo!

I’ve never lived in a rental that didn’t allow me to paint walls? I guess it’s different in the Netherlands but I could never live in a place I’m not allowed to paint
@@Sunflowers9191 When I was much younger living in Las Vegas, Some apts I lived in wouldnt allow changes to the apt, of course they were fairly new apts. I guess it all depends on the owners.
Here in Australia you generally need to ask permission to make any changes like painting etc and some landlords even want you to ask to put up picture hooks etc.
05:55 I've used those same wood rounds. If you want to stain it instead of painting, you can use shoe polish! Just rub the polish into the wood with a cloth. It looks nice and even. It will last forever!
