    Hi Eduardo, through the fickle finger of fate, and some algorithm , I came across your work and was taken by the beauty and the theme of what it truly means to be human and observe and embrace life. Bravo, and am sure deeper soul work will be exposed for both you and the viewer.

    Amazing video as always, Eduardo! I started with film using Nikon S2 and later digital with Canon 5D Mark II. I find that film is easier to shoot, whereas in digital, I mess up the exposure way too often. But I admire you a lot, having only started film now and already nailing everything. Looking forward to more of this!

      wow thanks a million for watching. Nothing to admire, I check every now and then with my phone to see If I'm exposing correctly. It helps the fact that I am bit familiar with the sunny 16 rule tho. Cheers!

Fuerte abrazo!

    Once I realized that I do know when to press the shutter button, I have my camera almost always in "single" mode. So far I haven't regretted it. However, recently I've listened to G. Pinkhassov's lectures, and he has a completely opposite approach, he would at some point move his camera in auto mode with a zoom lens and high burst without seeing what pictures are being taken. As far as I remember, he called it letting the camera do the job. I don't find this approach (at least at this point) working for me, but it demonstrates once again that photography has rules and it doesn't have any rules at the same time.

      I'm interested now in seeing how Pinkhassov works the scene. It sounds like a no-go for me to leave the whole work to the camera. Interesting approach nonetheless! thanks for sharing bud

    I really resonate with the part about intentionality. Good tools are “great to have” but not a necessity. What I’m seeing is a lack of “direction” in some (popular) work. Really nice put video

      curious about the works you're refering too XD.... thanks bud for watching!

    Thank you for the shout out amigo. I strongly resonate with the intentionality part, although most of the time I don't look through the viewfinder haha specially when using wide angle lenses, I simply cross my fingers and hope for the best (which to be fair, almost never happens), but when using 50mm or longer the camera is almost glue to my eye. Great video as always, keep them coming and WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE🖤🫰🏼!

      Man! it's not something you "HAVE" to do, but it's definitely something you need to practice every now and then. It's just a resource at the end of the day. Some of the best shots in history probably didnt have any deep intention I think.

    I like the idea about intentionality but shouldn’t this also apply to digital photography and not only be a question of how much it costs me to take the photo? 🤔😉

    • @eortizfoto
      @eortizfoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was just giving some thoughts about it. Of course intentionality applies to digital too, as I said, I shoot only single shot. But I feels I tend to think it more when I’m shooting film. One, because of the money but also because of the amount of shots a roll has.

      @@eortizfoto Don’t worry, Eduardo, I was just joking. I also shoot film from time to time and I agree that with film I’m much more intentional, unfortunately also because of the cost… 😅👍

    next thing you know you have in your hand a leica m6 with a summicron 35mm and a 20 euro portra 400 in it (its a joke)

    • @eortizfoto
      @eortizfoto  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hahahah you know what.... If I had the money I would only shoot on film., the same extends to having a Leica. My wet dream is to have a M10 with a 28mm anda 50mm (even if they're voigtlander glass)
