Honestly, AOT is a perfect example of an Anime being done RIGHT and even BETTER than the Manga. Because Hajime Isayama was so involved in the anime, he was able to add things and make changes that he may have always wanted to do after writing the manga and decided it would be better, make more sense, add more context or have a larger impact on the overall story than from how he originally wrote them. NOTHING in the anime TOOK AWAY from the manga, most only ADDED to it and made the story even better. It's only anime that do not stick to the source material that are BAD. With most anime just creating a one for one of the manga can be too "boring", so things SHOULD be changed somewhat to make it more enjoyable to watch, but they should NEVER take away from the manga, only add to it. And so In my opinion, AOT will go down in history on how to do an anime adaptation the CORRECT way and something that many more anime creators NEED to strive to emulate.
With that ending it will go down with the most wasted time you ever had with an anime, for sure.
tbh the anime cut quite a bit of content from the manga, especially in s3p1 and start of s4 so your comment isn't entirely correct

However, in 7:18, as I was reading this part in the manga, I didn't see that they were offering the child as a sacrifice. Rather, my interpretation was that people were holding to hope, at the verge of death. When cornered between falling to certain death, or continue to live with the hope that the rumbling would be stopped, people chose to give that child the oportunity to continue living, even if it was a few minutes more.

Totally. As they kept falling, they were passing the baby up to the ones that were still far from the edge of the abyss. That was a very powerful moment in the manga

I don't think the point of the baby scene was to offer the child as a sacrifice. The people were slowly being pushed off the cliff, and they were trying to allow the baby to survive as long as possible. That could just be up to interpretation though since there weren't really any words or text in either.

I dont know if you should be aware of this but in First part of the finale we see eren wander off on his own in marley and he sees a pregnant lady and he suddenly becomes very distressed and cries. The same lady is shown as the mother of the baby in the cliff scene in part 2. So I think the symbolism is basically that many people will die but life will survive.
But we saw a scene where she said something like sacrofice
Not only was the baby scene in the anime, it was also one of the most impactful ones of the final episodes.
Also I don’t think they were offering the child as a sacrifice, they were saving it.
I like to think that Erin’s berserk mode is like his titan body working on overtime, it’s trying to regenerate but it’s creating so much heat, that’s why is burns and catches fire
but why does he berserk here and nowhere else? i think its because this was a future eren taking over "I WILL KILL THEM EVERY LAST ONE" he then chases annie down forcing her to attempt escape and reveal the wall titans "I WILL DESTROY THE WORLD" "THIS IS FREEDOM" future eren took the wheel, notably different from the manga where he does not do this
Honestly I agree with you. But it burns a lot because maybe the titan body heats up to 🌡️ about over 50*C. I like to think that Eren’s berserk attack titan form burns due to a lot of strength building up inside. Due to some titans regeneration in the anime they don’t burn up with strength in their bodies but Eren is different. I was splitting your scentenses up so don’t mind me:) But I fully agree with your states:).
That was an anime original scene. In fact, a lot of S1 had original scenes and events that never happened in the manga. Isayama didn’t actually start getting involved with the anime until S2.

7:15 uhhh that was not what happend in this scene the mom threw her child in hopes he might survive after she fell from the cliff.
I believe this scene was supposed to show that in the darkest moments humans care about eachother the most because everyone was reaching to catch the baby.

Another gruesome scene that was censored in the anime was the scene where Hannah was trying to do CPR on Franz. In the anime we only see that his bottom part is missing if we look closely when we see the back shot of Hannah. Meanwhile in the manga, if I remember correctly, we see a shot from above the two where we see his organs spilling out and everything. I might be wrong on the details, it’s been years since I read that part of the manga

2:10 I was surprised they showed Ymir's backstory sooner because it gives away there is an outside world. But it makes more sense to have it closer to when we last see her instead of many chapters later after the basement reveal.
I think that her backstory was revealed at the perfect time in the anime. Personally I found it more entertaining to have those little scenes so I could theorize about the outside world. I think without that scene being as early as it was I would have found it kinda annoying that I was as clueless as the characters. Maybe thats just me tho idk

I think the difference between the manga Armin and anime Armin is what makes some people wish that Armin died instead of Erwin. I've noticed that the people who rooted for Armin were mainly those who've read the manga. I too, watched the first season before reading the manga and disliked Armin, but after reading the whole manga he was hands down my favorite character.
the rumbling panels will likely be added at the start of the second special, i doubt they will be skipped entirely especially after so many new ones were added
also a reasonable explanation for the clothes could be that malaysian ymir created them in the paths

None of it was "censored" its just down to artistic taste. Going "too graphic" can change the feel of a scene. Or take away from the point of a scene.

Berserk mode was a great addition. Doesn't make sense for the rest of it but it was my favorite part of season 1
5:30 I'm pretty sure in the trench later, Falco rambles on about flying around in ODM gear in the manga. It made me think that Falco would be a future bearer of the attack titan.

7:15 the last special episode of AOT included the offering baby scene and even added a Schindler’s list type aspect making only the baby red and everyone thing else grey like the little girl wearing the red coat in the movie Schindler’s List

The reasoning I’ve heard that there were so many differences is because Isayama was very involved in the anime making process and so the anime is the closest vision to his final product.
And also, Hange is still not portrayed as a girl or boy in anime either.
Actually, Isayama confirmed in the past that she is female in the anime, but undecided in the manga. And he also confirmed that the anime is the “Final Draft” of his story

2:36 I'm not too sure, but in the manga Eren gets his ass kicked and is completely taken out of the fight. It was basically Mikasa that beats Annie. And I think the anime didn't want to make their main character lame by getting his ass kicked AGAIN and also since this was end of season 1 they needed to raise the excitement of the climax a bit.

Breaking Bad and GOT are two of my all time favorite shows of all time, with AOT becoming one of my newest favorites as of this year. So learning that some of the Titans were designed to look like some of those characters.. I’m geeking.

Mikasa being so obsessed with Eren is such a shame because I think she could've been my favorite female character if they added more depth to her as a person, similar to the manga. She's probably my least favorite female character in aot for this reason (plus her annoying fans, lol).
I think Isayama was trying to not have the show focus too much on their romance as there was so much more story to tell.
I think Eren was even more annoying and childish back then, and she had to always look after him because of his mother's last wish to her before she died, and Mikasa used that wish and the life debt she owed Eren for saving her life when they were little as an excuse to lie to herself about her true feelings for him
