6:27 I went down to St. James Infirmary, Saw my baby there, Stretched out on a long white table, So cold, so white, so fair Well I said I said, God bless her, Wherever she may be, She can look this wide world over, But she'll never find a sweet lover man like me.
"I went down to St. James Infirmary, I saw my baby there, stretched out on a marble table, so cold, so white, so fair. I say I say, God bless her, wherever she may be. Well you can test the whole wide world over, never meet a sweet loving man like me." 6:27
I played this in my Firebird when I was 19 it was my first car and I fell in love with The Doors and I’ll never forget that car nor The doors… both entities burned themselves into my soul that night. I smoked a giant joint and had the time of my life …this song was spooky… it was end of summer and I took the t tops off. One of a kind band. No one could be as mysterious as this group. Never will be.
Amazing!! This album of the Doors live is exactly what the Doors stood for!! The energy, the vocals, words and beat all blended together as one! Jim, at his finest singing like no other, truly unrated as a singer and showman!! The man was the shaman he claimed to be!!
The concert recorded in Bakersfield, Civic Auditorium August 21, 1970 by Vince Treanor, the Doors’ tour manager, recorded the show for the band on a Sony reel-to-reel machine using two microphones placed on the stage. While not a multi track high fidelity recording, it is clean, quiet and clear recording. The complete concert recorded in Bakersfield remains unreleased in the archive of the band.
This entire Bakersfield concert has finally been officially released in 2023. Why The Doors management waited so long makes no sense but at least we have it now.
You have to appreciate the mystery of The Doors. those other guys wished they were mysterious. They just wrote songs .The Doors went to other worlds and brought us back artifacts from dimensions we may never see.
The Doors playing Lighnin Hopkins. That's so cool. Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark both loved Lighnin Hopkins. Lighnin Hopkins is America's greatest artist
shiiiit....i love them all, but i specially love how they always bring the first song back...man... my best part is at 7:53 when john starts kickin it and jim followed lettin all the demons get the hell outta him lol fuckin awesome...that was rock people!!!
WOW YOU GUYS CAN PLAY BEAUTIFUL VOICE ALL VERY GOOD PLAYING ON THE INSTRUMENTS. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST EVER. LOVE YOU GUYS. THANKYOU FOR THE GREAT TALENT . SO PROUD OF YOU GUYS
When I saw them at the Dinner Key Auditorium in Coconut Grove, Miami, FL., they made a movie about it. Jimmy was so drunk he could not finish even one song through. This was the night he whipped his pecker out, stole a cop's hat, and tossed it to the crowd, before wandering off stage and out the door. Of course, that's not the story the movie makers told, but it is the truth, I was within 30 feet of the stage. Good times indeed.
BRIGHT MIDNIGHT YOU ARE GREAT LOVE YOU GUYS I COULD LISTEN TO YOU GUYS ALL THE TIME . YOU CAN COME AND SING TO ME. LOL KEEP ON PLAYING AND SINGING YOU GUYS ARE GREAT THANKS LOVED IT PEACE AND LOVE
juan roberto Navarro it's exatly my opinion too! Always I had eard him singing, I think with myself, wow... There was something spiritual blues black got evolving this guy. Lord god!
Jim I don't know these people. This I know, the fullness of the Father has been with me since July 1971. I don't know anything about these juniors. That is the truth and I it is too painful for me to have these people play jokes on anything so sacred. Happy Easter Jim.

@charuto47 O i was gonna answer but then "something" took over and shifted me 2 pages ahead. The witty ditty i was gonna say was -"I never could question my sexuality other than with jim Morrisson or Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd". Early Pink Floyd that is....
Jim was an extremely religious man, if he was truly married to Pam he would have proudly worn the wedding band...I question any words claiming to have knowledge of Jims' heart and soul other than for profit! The dead can not speak, convenient.
The most unique rock and roll band ever. The most underrated. My favorite band, The Doors.
Those were the days. Pure talent, no autotune, click track, no lip sync and no annoying dancers jumping around on stage.
Jim jumped around but he also predicted music would change to people pushing a button lol
6:27 I went down to St. James Infirmary,
Saw my baby there,
Stretched out on a long white table,
So cold, so white, so fair
Well I said I said, God bless her,
Wherever she may be,

But she'll never find a sweet lover man like me.
Best part! He could just add to any song and make it a unique classic.
The st James Infirmary is pure gold !
