This series of videos has been very valuable to me since I am just beginning to shop for a heat press and had NO idea what to look for. Thank you so much for such a detailed review of a large number of heat presses in an affordable price range.
Thanks for the comparisons! I learned something new about the wash test and how the pressure results can be identified. I own three heat presses, and the three things I look at are 1) heat-up time (my HPN Craftpro press takes up to 20 minutes), 2) Setting alert, lets you know when set heat is reached, and 3) Cut-off feature! I cannot tell you how many times I forgot to turn off my HPN printer and the craft room feels like a sauna. The press I use every day is the HTVront. I added a circuit 15x15 press pillow under the one that comes with it for pressure. Love its ease of use and the auto-open feature. I came here as I am looking to get a larger printer to replace the HPN 15x15 but your point about the size you need and use most has me rethinking. Thanks again
The Cricut Easy Press has so many reviews because it was the first at home hand held press that was introduced to the public. I have never ordered this iron because of all the issues you mentioned in this review. Thanks for your honest reviews.
Can you please rate every heat press from these videos, 1 would be the top which will be the PowerPress. I'm trying to find the best 5 in 1 heat press for my first one.
I make sandstone coasters a lot with my HTVRont press. It was rough going until I realized that the included mat dips I the middle. I replaced it with an Artesprix foam mat, plus a nomex mat sometimes. Really increased the pressure and eliminated the unevenness. I can now print edge to edge full color coasters no problem
We really liked the feature of the HTVRONT as well but we weren't able to increase the pressure enough for DTF to LAST. We even tried replacing the included mat and swapping it out with 2 layers of 1/2" silicone base and still did not have enough pressure. We were able to print edge to edge but the transfer prematurely wrinkles in the wash.
Great video, exactly what I was looking for! I am looking to do my own DTF transfers at home (buying prints online), and wasn’t sure which heat press to buy as there are so many. Subscribed!
The options in Canada are limited, so I’m planning to buy the PowerPress as it’s the best one available here. But still haven’t bought one. Was hoping it would go on sale for Black Friday but it didn’t.

At the end of the video, when you're doing the overall reviews of the presses you said the slender press but that looked like the vivohome. If I'm mistaken I apologize. The slender has a yellow handle.
Correct. I have the Slendor press and was very much looking forward to your review. Although the review on the shirt was correct, you were talking about the Slendor press but had the Vivohome press on the table so the review about the press itself was incorrect.
@AnyaOf3 How do you like the Slender? I am currently researching different presses, but keep coming back to slender because of the color options price and available attachments.
Great videos, very informative - thanks. One issue with the final review I believe. The first unit reviewed in Part 1, the Slendor 5 in 1, was not the unit on the table when it was up for the final revie in the summary in part 2. In part 2 the unit on the table was the VivoHome 8 in 1 while you were discussing the Slendor 5 in 1.
Really cool, thanks a lot. Now I'm seriously considering to go for a more expensive one, but the gap it's really high... The training with Cricut needed some Rocky music, ha ha. I think those are ideal for vinyl and small/medium sublimation blanks, tote bags, but for DTF... Ufffh. Much appreciated, great video, like Part 1, I've learned a lot.
I love your reviews i was wondering I do more iron on and sublimations . Is the power press good for that? . You also did one on the vevor auto heat press review i bought it and going to return it cause it is too hard for me to understand. but my real question is if i do not do too many transfers . Which one will be good?? Thanks in advance
Really great video's my dude, thank you so much! My buddy and I want to start pressing shirts, but all these presses are like triple the price if you want to ship to the eu ): the powerpress is 600 bucks.. only the Vevors are afforable
I want to see you creat a design then heat press it, on t-shirt, tumbler and hat also I never heard you mention if you can attach parts for hat, tumblers etc
Can you just tell me which one to get? I have a Cricut easy but I feel like the pressure doesn’t give it enough for my items to have longevity so wanna invest in a press
Try Vevor 8n1 comes with all the attachments for like plates shoes comes with the mug press and different size items as well... under 300$ can't lose honestly its been nothing but a money maker to me. That's my 2 cents. Goodluck
Unfortunately I do not know any sub $1000 that I could confidently recommend. I have heard good things about the MEM Dual Heat Press stations but I haven't tried it. They do run around $2000.
Great content! Super informative. Appreciate your effort and hard work. Where do you get the blank shirts that you use on this video? also if you can recommend a supplier for blank hoodies as well. Thank you in advance
We order from Alpha Broder often, but you can access shirts from others like Jiffy Shirts, Blankstyle, S&S Activewear, SanMar, McCrearys and so many more. We’ve used a lot of Bella Canvas and Next Level in the past, but Gildan is good too.
Since the Cricut EasyPress does not have enough pressure, will re-pressing with more pressure prior to washing the shirt help at all? I just tried DTF for the first time with two shirts using my Cricut EasyPress prior to watching this video. Wanting to see if there is any hope in saving the pieces from being ruined when they are washed.
Pressing the shirts before washing the shirts with a heat press that can provide sufficient temperature and pressure will absolutely save the shirt. We’ve been able to get bits of a design to work with a household iron, but nobody has time for that. Just get a decent heat press for $200.
I have a Cricut heat press and i love it for iron on I have done large t shirts and yes i have to press two times on the image . . my sublimation is usually pretty good from coasters , key chains but on t shirts if i do not wash inside out will wear out i am looking for a easier way cause my shoulders hurt cricut is great but you have to use your arm strainge to put pressure
I’m here because I used the cricut press and I’m a girl so the pressure wasn’t there at least on the edges the middle was perfect so now I’m looking for an affordable heat press with auto pressure
Warranty is pretty much pointless when you cant press. I havent seen a swing away that i would even consider in low end. They flex too much and break at the base.
Nice video, man. I've got the PowerPress in my Amazon cart, but is there a beginner heat press better than the PowerPress that's slightly higher than the current $199 price tag?
Powerpress is the way to go for a budget press. Next step up is a completely different machine with all the bells and whistles. www.transfersuperstars.com/products/heatmaster-prisma-pro-auto-open-dtf-heat-press-machine-16x20
What do you think of the transpro 15x15 or the power press ? I’m just trying to make shirts for myself but I’m open to possibly using it to make extra cash and turn it into a small business
When you did the video did the Powerpress have pull out drawer? I noticed you went u see to place. I would like something g that pulls out so what was the runner up with pull out drawer? Or does power press have that ? It appears to on one of the Amazon pics but I can not be for sure
There hasn't been a lot of "great" pull out budget heat presses but if we were to recommend one, it would be the fancierstudio amzn.to/3V2m8N9. Its hard for companies to develop a pull out press while keeping the budget low. You usually will notice the parts being subpar and not feeling smooth when you pull.
These are not sublimation sheets, these are DTF transfers. We print you press. Let me know if you have any questions. www.transfersuperstars.com/pages/order
Question I want a hot press machine my budget is 500 maybe 600 let’s say 600 any machine u recommend that will help me make them last a lot longer thanks
Anything less than $1000 is what we test on this video. Its a budget press and you'll get good results. If you want a better price with more features, this is the one we recommend www.transfersuperstars.com/products/heatmaster-prisma-pro-auto-open-dtf-heat-press-machine-16x20
Hi! I understand it's currently out of stock for the holidays but they should be restocking soon. I would hold off and check back in 30 days. It will most likely be back in stock.
We have a team of graphic designers as well as tools such as ai to help. Regardless of the artwork, most of it needs to be touched up to make it t-shirt printable.
@@transfersuperstars I am super grateful for your comparison and videos. I am trying to decide between the Power Press and the HTVront manual swing away. Nope, we didn't rate any presses until video 2.
"easy to use" is different from "easy to assemble". It's not fair to rate it under ease of use just because it took you 20 minutes to assemble it.
