Still using my 8 Plus as it does everything I need. I’ll keep it until it runs out of software updates. I so love the NOTCHLESS 16:9 screen. Perfect for visual media. As one of the 10% who can’t use OLED due to PWM I’ll probably go to the 11, unless the mythical SE 4 appears!!!
PWM person here too, the struggle is real :( I bought a 14 pro a few months ago and thought it was okay since I wasn't getting headaches or dry eyes, but I recently noticed I can't focus up close anymore. I had to start wearing reading glasses just to paint my nails about a month after I got the 14 pro. I guess it could be coincidental, but I'm not taking any chances with my eyes. Back on my 8+ now and I forgot how much I love this phone(and how much I missed touch ID lol), it's still very fast and does everything I need!
The same story ,, really.. I tried and it’s better then all the another iPhone OLED , but ips LCD better ! Better take no Risk;-) And I love the Touch ID also , much easier on the table things like that.
It basically comes down to whether you prefer touch ID or face ID. Unless you're a heavy gamer or pro photographer, the 8+ will meet your needs just fine if you want a larger iphone but don't like face ID. The A11 still holds up very well, my 8+ is running absolutely beautifully on 16.6 beta. And supposedly every device that can run iOS 16 is going to get iOS 17, that's not confirmed yet of course but here's hoping 🤞
Do you think the iPhone 8 Plus will get iOS 17? I’m very indecisive between getting the iPhone 8 Plus or the iPhone 11, the only thing that matters for me is whether it will update or not I’m okay with the other features, what will you recommend? 😫
@@paulaandreagomezt.1943 I think it will, I heard that any phone that can run iOS 16 will get 17 too. WWDC is on June 5th and that's when 17 will be announced along with what phones will receive it, so I say wait a week and make your decision then :)
I was debating getting an 8+ or a XS Max as a secondary device/extra storage phone. I’ve seen 8+ go for less than half of the XS Max’s so I’m gonna probably grab the 8+. I had the 8+ in Space Grey back when it just dropped and it’s still my favorite design of a home-button iPhone.
the xs is a great phone, however, it has higher emf and worse antenna placement compared to the 8+. i'm getting an 8 plus for surfing and cell phone, and maybe keeping my xs for the video camera, which is great, except in really low lighting. the selfies are only really good in indoor lighting at night
I have an iPhone 8 + It’s my first time having an iPhone and just when I finally got use to it someone gifted me their iPhone 11 since they upgraded, now idk if I should change it or just stay with the 8+

Still using mine but the battery is going bad and the lag is getting a bit more noticeable
not alone but my god now they won't update anymore and my new Apple Watch won't connect to it. We are being phased out

Have you tried a 14 Pro Max? Apparently PWM on that is better. The 11 is such a huge downgrade in display from an 8 Plus. It’s not even 1080p

My iphone 8 plus has a better camera quality than my 11 pro max
I have an iPhone 8 plus but recently it's been overheating so much when it's not supposed to so it's getting replaced by a iPhone 11!
Same here that overheating actually damaged my sim had to get a new one of those also
i would nit recommend the 11. it is decent, but the antenna placement and high emf make it toxic

The 8+ is better than the 11, the 11.is not even 1080p
the iphone 11 has high emf (independently tested) and antennas on the bottom. I would not recommend it.
so in terms of your health, the 8 plus is the way to go
